I'm a Habs Fan forever and love Chris Nilan . He was heart and soul and tough as nails , very courageous player . He fought for his team mates who were the best players that ever played .. Larry Robinson , Serge Savard , Guy Lafleur and many more who I loved as a kid . All the best Chris .
Interviewer kinda insulted Chris @ 7:20. I think what Chris was trying to say was that because he was as tough as he was and wouldn't think 5 seconds to fight, that got players on the other team to always be wary of him when on the ice thereby getting in their head and possibly throwing them off their game. Interviewer should have seen that.
I was shocked when he was traded. I think that Perron pushed him out... Savard didn't have many choices, he had to trade him but he played with him and respect him a lot. Like he said in the interview, he was indeed a good hockey player after doing all he could to become one. He stayed on the rink with the coach after the others left, he really wanted to get better. And kudos to the coaches that help him and give him a chance to do that. Many other enforcers were barely able to play hockey and most of the coaches didn't care too much about them. I was in front of the TV when he fought for the first time, i remember asking myself, "who is the guy"? He's not that big but man he did well and had this big heart! Seeing Chris scoring 20 goals with the Canadiens was awesome, he was on a very successful line with Carbonneau and Gainey. It was a talented checking / defensive line. They had grit, they scored goals and they were able to shut down the best line of the opponents. Canadiens wouldn't have had the success they had without them.
Definitely not a fan of Dutrizak or however it's spelled, but I have to say this ended up being a great interview. Having been through my own pain/surgeries/painkillers/opiate addiction myself, I must say that he describes what that situation is like pretty well. Being able to function all of a sudden is such a great feeling and you do get addicted without realizing it...and once you're physically addicted it's pretty horrible. I love how he talks about it openly.
I absolutely hated the Hans as a team growing up, BUT have always admired Nolan for his fearlessness, and admire him even more for what he’s went through with his addition. He played the game with absolute honour and would die for his teammates
wow , I gained some respect , then lost it when he said he shot up ! I was addicted to Percocet too , but that would be the day I stick a needle in my arm , what an excuse for being a loser . I met Chris and he is a bit of a bully .

Chris Nilan was a very good player one of my favorite of my childhood. Never seen a player having heart like Chris Nilan.
My second favorite Hab of all time. All heart. Yes he would have made a difference in 89.
Love you man.
this is incredible interview..i believe him when he says if i was with the Canadians vs the flames we would of won another stanley cup.
Esti De Tabarnak, Chris is one real enforcer! Merci pour tout!

It's amazing how you can dislike someone because of what you don't know. Chris Nilan, I like you! Be well!
Être un 6iems,du guerrier. Avec son cœur,sa prise de conscience. 😳👌
Nilan is a great guy
Love you Knuckles ( Irish) Nilan you gave it your all for your teammates 🇺🇸🇨🇦🇮🇪. God bless you 🙏

Magnifique !

This doesn't represent all of Canada or canadiens fans..god love ya Knuckles! Youre loved!!

That was sort of disrespectful saying he wasn't a good player.
love you chris ,very good player 20 goals season ,shame on you DUTRIZAC ,we dont forget nilan you just miss him
jacques lebel he sounds like a pequiste !
Un vrai!
nilan should have punched him when he said he was not that good nilan was fkn awesome
What's the point asking questions about his brain and fight? " does your brain is OK?" Perfect way to make someone feel comfortable .....
Badass 👍
La classe.
Nilan #1 habs enforcer
Je l'échange contre 1000 colonisés !! Qu'elle authenticité !
a real warrior
In every sense of the word...So raw and brutally honest..LOVE THE MAN!
« Calice de Tabanack Matt Cook » 😂 wow
Chris is absolutely correct about Fear!
hahhaahah Calice de tabarnak Matt Cooke!
Yes Sir!
interviewer could listen/pause a bit better... tends to interrupt/not listen sometimes
7:13 - not the nicest thing to say about a great and loyal player 😡Ce n'était pas une chose polie à dire.
Dutrizac connait crissement rien au hockey.... Questions, remarques stupides....
Not acknowledging he's a good hockey player and not only a goon shows how little he knows about hockey 🙄
Chris is an honest and decent guy. The interviewer seemed disrespectful though.
For the record Nilan is IRISH....
IRISH are not angles.
Lol Bulger was a 'Capable guy '
Great interview done in spit of worst interviewer in world.
15:05 ha ha ha
What no one wants to say is that pain meds work.
BS you play Russian roulette every night with 5 bullets & still able to talk & be alive.

wow , I gained some respect , then lost it when he said he shot up ! I was addicted to Percocet too , but that would be the day I stick a needle in my arm , what an excuse for being a loser . I met Chris and he is a bit of a bully .
And I bet you wouldn't call him a bully to his face🙂
