- How to change hikvision DVR Cell or battery.
1) To solve automatic date and time reset problem you can change the DVR cmos cell or battery.
2) I used 3volt lithium battery no."CR1220" for my DS-7108HGHI-E1 Hikvision DVR.
3) Ever dvr has different battery so first check your battery number before repacing it.
4)If the battery is dead then dvr date and time will automatically reset to default each time when there is power cut.

After changing the battery then also DVR date time change automatically ,and I set camera name of all 16 that also change and password set ask after reboot everytime
It was issue internal means of software
The hikvision technical support update the firmware then it was resolved

Would a dead cell battery also cause the machine to abnormal shutdown eg every 20mins to every 4hrs.
not sure , but answer is no , change power supply and check or update framework.

Not Fixed , It can be different . Some dvr has different model cell i.e different size

yes, you call customer care and tell them model number to dvr they will help u . or search on net with your model no.

I didn' t found name of cell in data sheet.
Now u can do one thing take the dvr to watch shop and tell him to give 3v cell which fits your dvr socket.
This is only way....
how to remove old cell
Open the DVR case by unscrewing it and you will find a cell inside it ,which is the old cell remove it carefully using screwdriver.

For DVR model DS 7208HQHI-F1, i lost the battery , so I need the model number to purchase new one, I remember it as 3V, can i get the model number please
i don't know exactly which battery is used i did some research. U can take dvr to shop where u buy cell and get same size battery it will work.
