Grandfather Mountain - Calloway Peak, Grandfather Trail

Last summer, my son and I attempted to hike the Grandfather Trail to Calloway Peak, but only made it to McCrae Peak. Now it's winter and, although it's much colder, we have more experience under our belts. Icy conditions, below freezing temperatures, and rough mountainous terrain made this hike a true adventure - complete with a surprise at the end of the trail.
