Shoutout to whoever hooked up Harry's beats to be continuous and how you kept it going til the literal end of the podcast. That's a level up right there
A friend gave me Tony Hawk's address back in the 80s. I wrote him and asked about building a ramp and how to do some tricks. I never really believed it was his real address, but wrote anyway. 6 months later he wrote back on a postcard. Legend.
Tony might just be the most genuine and down to earth celebrity ever. And harry, don’t even get me started. Man’s so underrated it’s actually insane. Also very down to earth and seems like a very real dude. Love to see this collab🤘
Yo know, I wasn't sure how much he was digging it during the free style as clearly it is not his normal genre, but then I realized he was just trying to mentally keep up with it. Like you said, that "hooolly shit" cemented his appreciation.
Man... That freestyle got me emotional. Rapping like that in front of a legend has got to be surreal. And the way you wove in parts of the conversation was so awesome.
This freestyle brought some of the best out in Harry! Since he brought is A-game to impress the legend Tony, and Tony chose some great words that had depth and connectivity from the prior conversation between him and Harry. Not to mention the excellent switch-up of beats during the freestyle. The combination was epic and appropriate for the occasion! Well done everyone.

Never seen an interview with Tony Hawk - but obviously know of him from pop culture. He seems like a cool, down to earth guy - even though he was the GOAT. Thanks for introducing me to him HMack 😂
The one thing I never see Tony get asked is about his episode on Rocket Power! If you were a 90's kid and the Tony Hawk episode came on you were dancing !! Lol hyped that you get to see Tony's playground in Rocket Power so rad man!
I wanna show this to my Mom, who's a bit elderly. OMG, how much this meant to me, it's hard to speak, all I know is when Harry started rappin' 'n recappin', I didn't want it to stop, had to hit pause and rewind, multiple times, like the oft' interviewed tony hawk, just saw his last meal recap on mythical kithchen, but on this flow state with H-mack, there's new details, my man grinds rails, I grew up with the game, I'm more of a rollerblader, but Harry's insane, and when his rap started up I never wanted it to end, this comment section's full of those that give it a full send! (Lets goooooooo) 😛🎉🎊💥🌛😎🧡💚💜🩵💙🧡👊 (Honestly, this is the best of rap and skating history in one beautiful conversation...Tony is a living Legend, and Harry is a Legend in the making for bringing this moment to us, fine, while also bringing sounds, proving ground, he's still some-how right in his prime!!)
Two INCREDBLE talents in one room. Wow. This is an excellent example of the huge variety of talents in this world. Both totally different, both near super human
As someone who watches Tonys Podcast and Harrys stuff (not the podcast so far) independently I must admit that my first reaction was that i didn't really know how this can work well together but i have been proven wrong 100%. Firstly, Harry is a damn good interviewer and there are way more parallels than i anticipated.
Man this podcast never misses. ❤ Such an awesome episode! The way Toni looked at Harry while rapping, was the same way we look, when we watch Tony skating. Two GOATS 🐐🌾🐐 just grasing together.
that last beat and flow I would happily pay for, you shined dude. You changed a professional athletes body language with your freestyle. Someone who has felt the heat of the world. A true gift to give, and to to share.
Two absolute GOATS. I'm 35, also grew up with THPS games, skating and bodyboarding since i'm a little kid. Falling, getting hurt, persisting and finding out the beauty of skateboarding and what it means for life. Also was starting into music at the same time, playing guitar, and also photography. Still do all 4 to this day, even though my knees and ankles are fucked from too many falls, so today with skateboarding I just ride and keep it chill. Just a few basic tricks and grinds once in a blue moon. Music is just a hobby, and photography and visual arts is my life. However, skateboarding taught me so much. It's really a core and integral part of my life and of who I am. And THPS games definitely had a huge part in that, even though I was skating before the games came out, they made me go outside, and try to kickflip for days and days in a row, and falling on my ass 3000 times until I couldn't no more because it was sore. I can see how nervous Harry is here. No shit, I would be the same. However, as much as Tony is a legend. Shout out to Rodney Mullen, and the Pappas Brothers, who Tony stole the first 900º from by force.
Instead of going to the legends now you can have them on as guests. That's amazing. This was a great conversation with the Legend! If you have another skater on, I hope its Mitchie Brusco. Dude breaks down skateboarding so well and has a process i think you'd enjoy hearing about. I think he's also based in Cali.
Harry, Love your work. Congrats on all your success through dedication. Quick tip for you; after asking a question, try being more silent after you ask the questions. When you say "yah, huh, uh" between sentences, it can come across impatient. Sometimes the silence can help the speaker think deeper, where the noise breaks up the thoughts. Thats one of the reasons Joe Rogan is so good, he leaves plenty of silence for the speaker to think which lets the speaker relax.
Seeing Tony Hawk land the 900 in the X Games changed the course of my life for the following 7.5 years. I was immediately taken by skateboarding, and skated almost everyday during that time period.
Harry is so fucking good at interviewing man damn I’m honestly impressed. I guess it makes sense since he’s a word master but he’s very good at coming up with interesting and new questions.
I'm watching this, not too many years behind Tony Hawk, and still hurting a bit to inhale after cracking some ribs coming off my board 3 weeks ago. And it now somehow feels good. Getting told I'm too old for that shit now, and it doesn't faze me. Thanks Tony and Harry for a great interview. And thanks Rodney:)
