Not just Hololive, but Vtubing in general. There are many pillars within Hololive, but Ollie is a pillar *outside* of Hololive. She's always collabing and spotlighting indie Vtubers. Her Birthdays are *always* swamped with outside vtubers showing her love for it.
Ollie is such an adorable cutie-pie, I don't think she knows how important she is for us and how much of her energy helps Hololive and its fandom to thrive.
She told Yagoo directly "you need me". And she was absolutely right.
EN and ID always felt like they had little to no barriers and could easily hang out or collab just like anyone in each others branches. Certain EN / ID duos have been some of the greatest dynamics we’ve seen.
I think the second greatest arc is literally the relationships that have been growing between ID/EN. Oh....the first? Pekomoon Arc.
To me Grindstone is the ultimate collab, it's actually perfect Yin and Yang. Opposite personalities, character design, height etc., all the way down to even opposite complementary colours of yellow and purple. As Raora said they are a match made in heaven, they are actual soul mates.
JP mems also said, ID are all "very high spec", all of them are multilingual and extremely talented in different ways. They don't have JP privilege and EN speaker audience boost, just pure talent, they can collab and work with anyone.
I mean, look at Kobo and...literally everyone. Or Ollie
JP culture puts a wall on overseas part of it is because of the language barrier sure but it's mostly because of culture. This is also the reason why the twins Fuwamoco is not as close with other ENs. They're fucking weird anime-trope is so weird. Nobody makes literal ambience noise in the middle of sentences nobody in their right minds would do that specially irl that's just fucking weird. Why can't they just talk normally without making any stupid noises it's so cringe. It would probably work on JP side like I said it's a culture thing but in EN overseas that's just fucking cringe.

Back in the day, if you were an English speaking vtuber fan, ID branches were your safest bet for English-language content. They really paved the way for EN branches. There's definitely a special bond there.
I definitely believe it. For me, though, it was actually the opposite. I was vaguely aware of VTubers back in the early days, but I didn't really get into Hololive until I met Sana (who was playing Metroid Dread at the time), and she also introduced me to HoloID through her last-minute collabs.
Sana Is Eternal.
I discovered Hololive (and vtubers in general) a few months before Myth was announced, so my first real English introduction to them was through Risu and Coco. They'll always have a special place in my memories for that. I joined the subreddit shortly after and indirectly got into English indie vtubers from there.

ID always impresses me. Constant underdogs but they always overdeliver. Ollie is right in there with them and her attitude is so genuine and real. ID was an elite add from Cover, they do such a great job not only on their own but as a bridge between JP and EN.
Ollie mentioning being the most kouhai and then IRyS debuted reminded me that IRyS was the first talent of any branch of Hololive to debut after Coco's graduation, and Holoro was the last gen to debut that got to collab with her. And now Ollie is senpai to so many, but never treats them as anything less than equals (afaik!).
Ollie is the rep of us Fans, is IS the heart. ID and EN have a special bond as both were so small at the start. I remember last year how down she was feel and I'm glad other mems reached out to her, it hurt seeing such a joyful hard working gal be down like that. I hope her and the rest of ID get a chance at a big Concert at some point they deserve it. Love Ollie!
I remember when KFP told Kiara that Ollie realized Kiara was her Oshi, Kiara was ecstatic to be oshi'd by the one that loves all. Need to give a special mention to Nerissa as for both Ollie and Kiara she helped lifting both of them out of the darkness they were falling into last year.
I think the main reason id and en click so easily is that "en" is just the language, you got austrians, germans, etc.
When you're already used to different cultures and languages, it gets a lot easier to interact with even more cultures. Nothing against jp, but it remains a fact that japan is rather isolationist, doesn't help that it's an island.

That's a really good point. There are several cultures and dialects represented just by the native speaker ENs. And that's even with the majority of them being North Americans.
I know the day ID get their own International 3D concert like Breaking Dimensions & Connect the World the girls will absolutely kill it and the fans will turn up just as big and excited as todays show!!!

Before Myth, ID was the only option for overseas fans to watch in English (other than Haachama occasionally) so there is a lot of overlap of the fanbases from back then.
early ID was where I went for a lot of my first hololive streams, which led to me watching Moona and Pekora first meeting and from there on I was hooked, so when Ollie debuted she was my first live debut stream, she will always be special for me

I agree with Ollie, I think EN and ID are sister branches with a special bond, and I love that. They can be closer because the language barrier isn't much of an issue, but I think it also helps that HoloEN has been a multicultural branch from the beginning. It was never just the US and Canada; it always included Kiara from Austria and now it's expanded to include people from many countries and many cultures. And HoloID, even though the members are Indonesian, is also very multicultural; the members speak a lot of languages, and many have friends from overseas and experience living abroad. I think that's why those two branches can relate to each other well, and together they can reach so much of the world. I'm in the EN target audience, but my oshi is in HoloID. Lots of people I know of in the ID target audience have oshis in HoloEN. Holoro I think has always been the single gen that best represented that bond, and Ollie, Reine, and Anya have done so much to form and maintain it, and in the meantime reached so many people everywhere in the world.
Ollie will always be known as Hololive's biggest fan and now she even looks like it.

The fact that EN got 2 gens within a year was surprising, very welcome though. Hopefully ID family can get some growth. 1 gen since Ollies debut almost 4 years, they deserve a bigger family, especially as theyre only 3 per gen. JP are well saturated even with the losses this year of Mel and Aqua (honorary mention A-chan too). Maybe then ID will get a sole concert for them.

I really like how integrated each branch is within holo, yes they do their own thing and lots of branch specific things but they're not segregated in collabs and can form units with EN and ID being almost sisters and not just forgotten about and left to their own corner.

Ollie is one of the most important holomems in my eyes.
