    We visited this temple on June 24, 2018 and were so fascinated to walk around this spectacular green area. Though we took photographs, I wish to thank you for all your efforts, time and money in sharing this wonderful video. Have a nice and great day ahead!! Best regards, Nassa

    Thanks, this was a helpful visualization for reading Mishima’s novel (though I’m sure the setting wasn’t quite the same).

    Didnt this burn down? I just finished the novel lol, the kyoko pond is beautiful. I also notice that island in the middle, that's the kyoko pond isnt it? Or is that the other pond?

    Cool video. We visited Japan this summer and loved Kinkakuji Temple. We also made a video about it on our channel. I would love to go back to Kyoto and spend more time there.

    Beautiful. Thanks. Approximately, how much time do we need for a tour of the place?

    • @JasonJose

      One hour should be sufficient.

      @@JasonJose I was there in September for an evening stop after about 4 hours at the Shinto Shrine and climb. It was a real treat. Some of the Lotus was still blooming.

    The smaller building towards the end of the video what is it called? Would it be a shrine?

    • @JasonJose
      @JasonJose  5 років тому

      I think it’s called the Sekkatei Teahouse.

    My family and I are going on a trip to Japan, and we were thinking about going to a famous landmark. So I thought about this establishment. Do you know how much *¥* it costs to get inside? Or is it free?

    • @JasonJose
      @JasonJose  6 років тому +1

      It's 400 yen ($3.60) for adults, 300 yen ($2.70) for children. Open from 9 am to 5 pm year round.

    Here in Brazil there's a replica of the Kyoto's Kinkaku-ji. It's called "Kinkaku-ji do Brasil (Brazilian Kinkaku-ji). ua-cam.com/video/UWsiQP8x0do/v-deo.html

    The first time I visited Kinkakuji was when I was a high school student. Probably. As you get older, you become forgetful.
