Vasily Petrenko on Rachmaninov's Symphony No.2

Music Director Vasily Petrenko introduces the first Icons Rediscovered concert of 2024 in Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall, featuring one of the greatest late-Romantic orchestral works - Rachmaninov's Symphony No.2. Elgar's Cockaigne Overture paints a colourful picture of London town in the concert's opening, followed by Strauss' Six Songs After Poems by Brentano with soprano Jennifer France.
