I grew up Mormon, and they always talked about being together for time and all eternity. I no longer believe in eternity, but I'm so happy I get to go through time with my husband. In fact, that's part of what makes it so special. I'm so happy I've found this song. It is like reclaiming that phrase. Life isn't any less beautiful just because it's temporary. I am so lucky to have someone who I can sing these lyrics to the rooftops for. 12 years so far. This is our new "our song"
Katie, in my very limited view, eternity is the only thing that makes sense. It is clear that an all knowing being put the universe together and set it in motion. We are His crowning achievement... the reason He is God. It simply makes no sense to me that the Being capable of constructing the galaxy, planet and each of its inhabitants would do so merely to have each of us be only a momentary blip on a screen, destined only to blink out and cease to exist. I pray that you will not allow human frailties and imperfections keep you from seeing the big picture. It can be difficult to believe in something that we can't really comprehend. That's where faith comes in. Please pardon me sharing my feelings on your comment.
@johnhaeberle3773 I am not offended by your perspective, although it differs from mine. I no longer believe in God. Why would he never answer a prayer to know him? Why would God give me a perfect life and others complete misery? Why would God make the Bible celebrate things that are morally wrong? Science, evidence, and truth are the path I want to follow. I am happy to be proven wrong at any moment given new evidence.
I don't feel I have thrown the baby out with the bath water, however. Although I now view Jesus as a character in a story, I still like to think of the phrase, "what would Jesus do".
I am glad you still find meaning in your beliefs. Belief in God is beautiful for those who believe. It was a very meaningful part of my life for 25 years. I enjoy the intellectual discussion.

BUT I feel that is something more outthere - I studied Physics so I called it Energy

Over time i always met different women and for each of them i akways kept some of them in mind.One woman in particular i in May of 2017 in church and each Sunday morning after wordhip service i spoke with this young woman who name is Denise and i said to Denise if God allow it i wiuld like to spin time with her.Sadly in 2020 Denise had to moved back to Florida. Maybe this song could go out to Denise .Time in a bottle.Hurts me very much that i can't spin time with her.Missed her dearly.
