It's not just that, she was the only one that contributed the darker songs, with the exception of many of Vicki's on their career best album "Everything" from 1988.

I totally enjoyed the music the group did back through the 80-90’s, this new music is deeper and even more enjoyable! Thank you!

That's really beautiful. A real little Pearl. I like their harmonies here even more than in the 80s.Too bad that it's not on DR

So annoying they make a song like this and keep it from the public. Why bother making it? Thank God to Steve Mc for uploading it, though can't think it's never come up as a recommended choice before if it's been on here as long as 4yrs! Typical that EMI have no intention of releasing a deluxe "Doll Revolution"-I mean it is over 20yrs old by now!-which collects any tracks recorded around it but never used. There should be another Bangles compilation to, but a 2 disc one, where a 2nd disc collects everything possible that they recorded but never released. Even stuff like 'Get The Girl' and 'I Got Nothing' was never put on any reissues, nor was even 'Hazy Shade Of Winter' and that's obvious. In fact the only 'extra' song issued for the "All Over The Place" and "Everything" remasters where ones that should have been on the album anyway, and "Different Light" had nothing, even though 'I Got Nothing' had only been done prior to it, and 'Hazy Shade' just the year Following (so to speak). It's bad enough they've hardly left us with a river of songs. They ended way too early, and don't seem interested in doing new songs, one of the reasons Michael had enough and left, after the big deal of getting back together! Granted their last album was impressive, considering, though it took me a few weeks to fully engage, but Michael's presence is a massive blow, and one that makes me fine about them doing as little a possible any more that's new. I've other artists to stick with, ones that don't spilt members and don't rely on past glories but want to keep on delivering new stuff, even if naturally the wait is greater than it ever was decades ago.

    WHAT IS THIS?
A song for my bangles album.
Before ladies n gents I'd made a bangles album that had all those oldies plus happily ever laughter, we belong, my town ..stuff like that.
But I recall it being like 1 or 2 tracks short from being a worthy compilation.

That's cos they were lazy and not about making many extra tracks. Considering how long they'd be around, they're non-album tracks were a paltry set. Even worse, when they've never any attention of making unused songs like this available in any physical way.

Beautiful song with great harmonies! It's not on any of their albums. Was this an in home recording by them? Great recording but strange a song this good isn't on an album.

    • @kyachdistent1301

No they'd rather put the blandish 'I Will Take Care Of You' (even worse, making it a single just cos Sus is singing it as usual, and she does GET all the singles, so nothing's changed in that department) and the better but hardly ingratiating 'Grateful' (again a Susanna one) on the album. Biggest problem is there's no special edition "DR" copy to catch any such leftover tracks. This one only appeared here not long ago. I know of 2 others long before, never this.

@@kyachdistent1301 - Interesting, thanks for the info! Did their record label---producer ever hear of The Beatles? Eagles? Beach Boys? Allman Brothers? Fleetwood Mac? Kiss? Doobie Bros? Chicago? Night Ranger? Toto? ......literally, the list of multiple lead singers trading off goes on and on and on. These are just off the top of my head. That is too bad for The Bangles. I'm not a Bangles aficionado, , but I know the first 3 albums, and I think they were getting better and better each subsequent album. What a shame they weren't promoted with multiple leads, esp with Egyptian being such a big hit.

@@dustinjones8887 Labels exist to ruin the bands they sign, especially if they have absolute promise. Bangles delivered their best ever album in 1988, yet barely would have toured it as the evil crap allowed to take hold of decent acts exploded. As Michael said, virtually all the singles picked gives the all-round view of little insight to the band as a unit. The same thing happens with loads of the best people, especially with ABBA and Kim Wilde.

Ask them, they make the mistakes, they'd rather have the blandly unexceptional 'I Will Take Care Of You' and hardly earth-shaking 'Grateful' on the album.

"Run Away with Me" is a song recorded by Canadian singer Carly Rae Jepsen for her third studio album, Emotion (2015).[1] It was written by Jepsen, Mattias Larsson, Robin Lennart Fredriksson, Oscar Holter, Shellback, and Jonnali Parmenius and produced by Mattman & Robin and Shellback. per Wikipedia.
