On the small 4 wire plug, you said fan (yellow), tach (blue), key (white), coil (black) and went on to say you didnt use the black coil connection because you have a ready-to-Run distributor. Mine, the black is not "coil", its [ACin] and is the input signal to trigger the unit to raise the idle to compensate for the load of the compressor. I see your running A/C, did you ever connect it? If so, how? The manual says when "grounded" it will raise the idle. To "ground" it, one would need to add a relay since everyting is 12v.... Seems backwards to me, I'd expect it to be a 12v input, tap into the clutch after the LPS, done. Called FiTech, left a detailed message and callback number for support and after several buisness days, nothing.
I was most likely referring to black on the 6 pin connector that’s for timing control. As for AC, my stock ecu and stock engine harness are still in the car to run the AC. I’ve have since added boost and in doing so switched to the Holley sniper. I have heard of folks creating their own harness for AC to work using a relay etc.
