I did recently a vídeo using this set, and using knight skills. The focus was the passive "knight will", my damage was around 140k binding , 70k range sword and 216k shield cannon, with a full tank 196. For knight skills actually 1h+shield is much better than 2h, the skills gets lots of skills bonus.

You were probably using mushies fam. It has recoil 1% (or 0.50% if you made it in npc blacksmith) which means 1% of the damage you deal to the enemy with finale also damages you. (1% doesn't seem much but with finale it's a lot xD)
If you use it solo yes but he combined it with impact for dmg balancing from magic to physical so yes binding strike does ruin prorate to a point but then again it's easily fixable.

Oni set are really helpful for early build tanker. Glad it added. Then added some dex & str to get back 10 stability.

Sure, you just need a mp 5+ skill set to save and impact before the main skill
And I don't recommend long combos cuz they waste time and a higher chance dying

Try use Shield Cannon as dps
I actually tried shield cannon and it did about 250k, apologize for not including that in the video
Shield cannon is only effective (high dmg) when it stuns. While good for a once off/opener atk it isn’t really great tbh
I use matk up (vit 100%)
