@@thiagoxdoid45 The Rise is better ONLY in the intro where it highlights all champions from the past and it' really dope when having flashbacks. But when Mako sang, aw sh*t.. no auto-tune at that time and he overexposed his true identity in singing. Lol. It can really done well-executed if it doesn't happen that way.
"This is for a video game!" - JV When you pull in more viewers than the Super Bowl, you gotta go big. LoL Worlds 2019 viewership: 100M+ 2019 Super Bowl: 98 million 2019 World Series: 23 million (game 7) 2019 NBA Finals viewership: 15 million 2019 Rose Bowl: 17M The 2019 LoL Worlds Finals peaked at 44M concurrent viewers, just under the AFC Championship game's *total* viewership and about equal to the NFC Championships' audience. No other sporting event that year came anywhere close to League's audience numbers.
For this ceremony, they used glass panes to reflect images on to them. I forget what the effect is called, but it's basically that simple. This way the audience can also see the effects unlike holograms that are only seen after "planting" the image afterwards. EDIT: also a thing to note, the trophy box was designed by a Louis Vuitton designer. c:
Moments like this are the validation of a lot of our childhoods. I get the emotion, man. For so long, gaming was looked down on as something for children. Those of us who took that as a hobby early on had to endure a whole lot of people telling us that games didn't matter, that you could never go anywhere with them, that they were a waste of time. This is our proof that those people were wrong. Gaming has blown up in a huge way since I was a kid. These guys aren't just kids playing computer games - they're professional athletes with multimillion dollar contracts, sponsorships, celebrity acclaim in their home regions. Every year they top themselves and come out with some crazy new technology, incredible performers, and just ridiculous amounts of hype around their tournaments. It's an experience unlike anything else in the world. It's like a sporting event + concert + comic/cosplay convention all rolled into one.
I'm crying too at the moment when logos of champions was out, that moment is so sick,I have chills and idk...it is so amazing,wp Riot Games, you pulled emotions out of me.
This is called 100% genuine reaction. The hologram technology is very cool and yes the peoples sitting there could see exactly same as we saw in the video there is video on the youtube of someone recording it with his cellphone its awesome it really blew me away the first time i saw
This was hands down the best opening ceremony they did so far, and yes they had screens between the audience and the artist so the autdience could see it, usually they had cgi stuff that only was visbile on a big screen as if you would watch it from home, this was just an insane step up.
This is really some next level stuff I saw the behind the scene and they say that the box at the end which was the trophy was not opening till like 5-6 mins before the show like imagine after the that sick stuff like holograms and the amazing performance the main part of the while opening where the trophy appears just doesn't work also they were working for those holograms for like 8-9 months prior to the world cup.
What a touching reaction, I loved your evident emotions! One thing that you wouldn't have known, and makes that moment with the Louis Vuitton box opening up to reveal the Summoner's Cup even more special, is that the floating logos behind it were for all the previous winners of the World championship, dating back to 2011 =)
Thats a cool reaction, thanks for watching this! As a fan and avid player since the beta of the game and follower of the LoL professional scene since the beginning, seeing how huge and amazing these things have gotten is awesome to see and be a part of as a fan/player.
really gj guys it was transparent screens, all the people can see what you`ve seen in the video, the singers, the public, the players it was amazing gj guys
The first few opening ceremonies required an app to see dragons and certain things to see during the singing. Now last 2 ceremonies holographic technology has upgrades significantly.
you can see everything live it's multiple screens behind and front of the singers with projections on them (you can kinda see the screens in 2:30 sideway view)
they create anthem for worlds every year Rise was for 2018 , legend never die for 2017 , phoenix for 2019 , ignite for 2014 , worlds collide for 2015 and they give a live performance on the anthems on the day of finals as you saw in the opening ceremony
During this Ceremony they used 360° Holonets so that the Holograms could be seen by everyone no matter where you were sitting, you can think of it as an invisible box on stage containing the Holograms even some of the singers were duplicated as Holograms so they could disappear or move upside down!
The audience could see. The singers/rappers are in a holographic item called a Holo-Net. Its like a see-through screen in the both sides and both front and back. And theres like a projection and makes the holographic characters and everything. But don't think they are fake and just a holograph. The singers are really there but the effects that is effecting the singers are just holograms.
yes they can see it... they use a box like screen what they did on Miku Hatsune concert... the dark stage given it away so it can display hologram easily...
The audience can see. It’s like a projection on a whiteboard. There was a transparent fabric or mesh placed surrounding the whole stage and projected the animation on to the fabric. So if we were there some angles would look weird
Btw it's not holograms x: Those are called AR = Augmented Reality. If the audience had glasses on, they saw everything. Also if you go back when Valerie (the girl sining Awaken) walks onto the stage you see transparent screens on either side of the Box (with the trophy).
you can react to rise in the opening in 2018 worlds! It was a bit disappointing for the lead singer's voice, but the show was good. BTW the crowd can see this live.

Transparent screens around the stage. Makes a holographic feeling by placing the images in different sizes according to where they're supposed to appear to be on the stage. This technology has been used for a while, although not as polished. Examples: Miku and Gorillaz concerts.
They see it, the setup consists in almost transparent "nets" on which the effects are projected. It must just be weird for the people seeing it from a differente angle though, because they see distorted images that are also completely out of allignment with the singers
That box for the trophy was designed by Louis Vuitton. They actually asked Riot if they could get the right to do so. IF you pay attention then you can see in the True Damage - Giants video that most wear Louis V.
