i wish people would learn to pay attention to the facts that should have been clear about kingdom hearts franchise & final fantasy franchise are seperate & different even if they were both created by namura. they are both about different things, have different kinds of enemies, seperate types of storylines/ kinds of universes, & any final fantasy charcters in kingdom hearts have different storylines/origins in kingdom hearts including different dialogues. wikepedia clearly states that kingdomhearts was influenced by its parent franchise final fantasy.

The outfit really is supposed to be a throwback to the release of AC if anything :/ nothing really follows the FF universe so it’s really not a reliable source. Plus that buster sword could have been clouds from the start and it is said that sephiroth is the result of clouds darkness from his past. And we truly don’t know what happened to his past until nomura reveals it so until then, we can’t really assume that clouds past is just like his original game :)
