The thing I dislike the most about Diluc playstyle are the lack of resistance to interruption and the knockback from his E and Q. Really dedicated and cool video btw!
Couldn't agree more. Though Diluc E has some kind of interrupt resist, it still annoying when our setup / DPS windows got interrupted by the even the smallest stagger. This is also the main reason why I rate Layla, Diona, and Yanfei highly. Their defensive utility can be life saver without needing to go try hard.
@@cavernman4739 thats why using xinquiu with him and bennet and kazuha/succrose can be better than using yelan if you dont know ennemy pattern or if there are a lot of ennemies that can interrupt you easily or if someone have skill issue.
Preach man, people out there don't learn the proper rotation and then proceeds to conclude that Diluc is trash. Some of them are not even swirling pyro so their Diluc ends up doing less than 20k vapes and they're somehow mad, lol.

My Hu Tao has been benched for months now, and the last time i used her for a clear was that time where the ruin snake was in the abyss. The auto target is just fckd up at times, that's why I dont use her often and stick to Diluc for my pyro DPS.
With all respect sir, I disagree Physical in C Tier, it should be S tier minimum. It's so strong that Diluc can kill his enemies without the need of His vision. Joke aside, I ageee with most of the ranking, except XQ. Personally I'd rate Him lower in VV Vape for how much His Rainsword can mess up setup instantly. Quite ironic I had easier time doing setup with Melt and with Kazuha + Kaeya no less (which is harder in general), than with Him in any variant, even with Sucrose. Some could say it'a skills issue, but if an enemy go even near you after you take safe distance with His Rainsword active, it's not related to our skill at all.
You got me in the first half, I'm not gonna lie 😅 Very understandable. Admittedly, even after getting used to His setup and knowing his ICD, there are times where His E / Q touches enemy unintentionally. A lot of my friends also dislike XQ for that exact reason, so they either go Mono or just 2 Hydro.
Great vid! helpful and informative 😊 and the verdicts 😆 I been using the og vape/nuke vape/vapeburgeon. I agree on nukevape very easy to execute and also enjoyable because of how quickly you can do the rotation again. Vapeburgeon is fun & satisfying to play. I just need to get nahida on her rerun but currently the DMC works quite well. Been practicing melt comps, it's just that its difficult to execute and I'm having a hard time melting. But quite enjoys it seeing those big numbers when done right. Can't wait on the release of furina and how will she work with diluc.

I used to run Diluc Overload (Sucrose, Fischl, Bennett / Kuki) It's actually not as bad, I'd say it's at least better than Mono. Unfortunately I don't have Chev, but let's assume She replace Anemo and you run Diluc, Fischl + Other sub DPS (ideally Yae), C0 Chev wouldn't be much different, but with C6 Chev, it can be on par (if not Better) with F2P Variants of Vape from the high Team DPS potential.
Og Vape Kazuha is highly recommended if you are new. Layla variant though good is somewhat a Boss / ST niche due to Layla's Application being ST focused. OG Kazuha (or the one with Yelan / Mona) is lots more universal, easier to control and not necessarily worse if the Sub DPS is at least not at low investment.

I have never compare them thoroughly but depending on your Diluc Atk stats, it varies. For example, my Kazuha with 930 EM couldn't outDPS the buff TtoDS + 640 EM Sucrose provide when I use Blackcliff or Serpent Spine. But when I use Unforged, They have identical result DPS Wise (Vape / Melt DMG is still higher but the Higher non reaction Hits from Kazuha make it even)
Highly depend on your Artifacts. Raising talent is only worth it id you have an EM Build 4pc CW or 4pc GD with decent stats else the DPS increase won't matter
Will, I am considering building Rozaria for my Diluc but I am a bit concerned about wither if she is worth building especially that I have ganyu and C6 diona.
Diona is very gimmicky and highly situational (only optimal for ST, and terrible for Multiwaves), and while Ganyu is objectively better than Rosaria, She has higher skill floor to be used optimally and properly. And requires Elegy of the End to rival a fully invested Rosaria. Rosaria on the other hand, is more of Generalist, very easy to use and is a lot more practical than any other Cryo support. If you are already comfortable with Ganyu, there is no reason to build Rosaria. But if you are still experimenting with Diluc melt, Rosaria is highly recommended because She will be more usable than Ganyu and Diona, even Kaeya in many cases.
My experience with XQ bennett sucrose Bennett E then dash away, *rain sword literal applies hydro after dashing away.* Idk if that's a skill issue but this just really grinds my gears lol.
The pain we all experienced. Assume you do XQ E Q > Bennett E, Dash away, Q without any NA in between, Rainsword Will apply Hydro the moment Bennett uses E. You can try using N1 after XQ Q, this way you'll have more time to apply Pyro and back away before the Rainsword reapply Hydro (assuming there is no delay between swap and you cancel XQ E Animation)

They could still work fine (if not better in ST), but will be kinda troublesome for AoE since Kaeya couldn't immediately remove the Pyro Aura and consistently applying Cryo due the lack of CC.

Bennett isn't BiS support for Xianyun since She values Dmg% & EM more than Attack hence EM support (like Sucrose, Kazuha, & C6 Diona) can match a team with Bennett in term of DPS and clear time AND Boost the team QoL since Cryo / Hydro Aura can be applied faster and easier with Sucrose and Kazuha. 2 Cryo + Anemo Dragonstrike can match most of Diluc top team with good setup, but fell off when facing light weight enemies due to Diluc's Q knockback that can mess your DPS window.

A lot actually. The 20% higher shred from VV and 200+ EM is huge lose (this assume if your Zhongli was holding 4pc Instructor, the loss is bigger if He wasn't) For Atk build, I'd consider 210% Total Atk 70/180+ Ratio (without Crit wep) to be high invested. Sucrose doesn't care about EM, so CDMG is one that will decide how far Sucrose can push your Diluc. Opposed to Kazuha, instead of Atk, you want more EM, sub 300 EM with identical Ratio is enough to be called High invested.
I have a c1 Diluc and I despise Kazuha, I'm happy to see Sucrose being comparable and sometimes preferred over him, what's your Diluc artifacts like? Also will a c1 diluc with god roll artifacts be considered high investment?
2.5k Atk, 72/201, 72 EM, 4pc CW (Atk Build) 2.2k Atk, 70/180, 280 EM, 4pc CW (EM Build) Yes. Considering Diluc cons hardly affect his DPS, so it's all come down to Artifacts and Stats.
weird question but does he have any synergy at all with Shenhe? i know rosa/kaeya would objectively be better in all occasions but i'm still curious. maybe some monstrous chongyun/shenhe cryo/pyro setup on him
She somewhat has synergy in Forward Melt, although I can't figure a combo and setup that can fully utilize Her Q and E buff uptime. In Cryo, Reverse Melt is easily doable by adding Thoma to the Mix. Min Max DPS can be done with help of Kazuha, but it's a glass cannon and very inconvenience without C1+ Shenhe, Burning Melt Dragonstrike without Shenhe or Mono Cryo Dragonstrike would be better in the long run.

For ST Rosaria E (to apply Cryo) > Kazuha Q > Bennett Q N1 > Kazuha E (Tap) > Rosaria Q > Diluc N2 EN1EN1EN3 Q If the first NA isn't Melt, it'a a sign for Bad Timing. For AoE Rosaria E > Kazuha Q > Bennett Q E > Kazuha E > Rosaria E Q > Diluc N2E x3 Q Or just do non Full Setup (Bennett Q E A> Kazuha E > Rosaria E Q > Diluc) because mobs usually don't have much HP to even need Full Setup.
He is Okay, but still worse in general. This take into account R2 Elegy 25% Atk buff & His DPS potential. Problem with Venti is that most characters won't be able to reliably do DPS when His Q is active if we face light weight enemies. And He lose his Value when we face Heavy Weight enemies / ST due to lack additional utility to justify His slot compared to Kazuha or Sucrose.
Only at C2. It has been tested C0 Xianyun is mostly identical to minor upgrade over Traditional Team in ST and mostly downgrade in AoE over Traditional Teams, especially Vape. The only thint Xianyun "destroy" Over traditional Team is QoL in multiwave setups. Melt Dragonstrike is also still noticably stronger than even Xianyun + Furina in ST.
Objectively Xianyun and Furina isn't necessarily Better than all of the Traditional Teams at C0, Furina Herself is in fact worse than Yelan in most cases, especially ST. She, along with Furina only made rest of the Teams obsolete when they are at C2 & at least C1 respectively. And don't forget the fact Xianyun is worse than almost ANY non Plunge Team in AoE (especially against tanky lightweight enemies like Fatui Agents) due to the lack of CC and Diluc insane Knockback. Unless you have C2 Kazuha and pair both of them, She will perform much worse than even F2P Diluc Vape in this scenario (Sucrose, XQ, Bennett) Tl;dr Xianyun is good on paper but isn't game changing and basically locked to ST / Boss UNLESS She is at high investment due to practical reason. Furina while good is gated by cons to be better than all of the Top Diluc Team variants (Yelan + Sucrose / Kazuha Vape, Kaeya + Kazuha Melt & Melt Dragonstrike)

This was the reason I benched Him and learn Melt. The setup is a bit harder but it's far less clunky than XQ.

I been using the og vape/nuke vape/vapeburgeon.

Well, Technically She is an upgrade over other variant Personal DPS wise since she can hold Elegy.
Diona can too but very hard to use in AoE.

As a top 1% serpent diluc with c2r1 yelan I always go for the premium vape or double hydro
My options:
1) Diluc, xinqiu, diona, (venti/xiangling)
2) Diluc, xinqiu, barbara, (venti/xiangling)

weird question but does he have any synergy at all with Shenhe? i know rosa/kaeya would objectively be better in all occasions but i'm still curious. maybe some monstrous chongyun/shenhe cryo/pyro setup on him
She somewhat has synergy in Forward Melt, although I can't figure a combo and setup that can fully utilize Her Q and E buff uptime.
In Cryo, Reverse Melt is easily doable by adding Thoma to the Mix.
Min Max DPS can be done with help of Kazuha, but it's a glass cannon and very inconvenience without C1+ Shenhe, Burning Melt Dragonstrike without Shenhe or Mono Cryo Dragonstrike would be better in the long run.

Sac and Fav doesn't count because even with Atk% Sand, Mistplitter, PJC, or Summit Shaper with ER Build are significantly stronger.

I tried Mistsplitter build also, but I agree that ER one still works better

Although for min max purpose it should be Yanfei, Her uptime would be compromised and the rotation become strict if She is the one holding it.

Yes, although Ideally Bennett should be the one holding Instructor to increase the Team DPS, the rotation become strict.

4pc CW (All team except Physical) & 4pc Shimenawa (Physical)
Used EM build in Kazuha teams & Burgeon, Atk for the rest.

For ST
Rosaria E (to apply Cryo) > Kazuha Q > Bennett Q N1 > Kazuha E (Tap) > Rosaria Q > Diluc N2 EN1EN1EN3 Q
If the first NA isn't Melt, it'a a sign for Bad Timing.
For AoE
Rosaria E > Kazuha Q > Bennett Q E > Kazuha E > Rosaria E Q > Diluc N2E x3 Q
Or just do non Full Setup (Bennett Q E A> Kazuha E > Rosaria E Q > Diluc) because mobs usually don't have much HP to even need Full Setup.

How viable is venti instead of kazuha in mono pyro ? (have elegy r2 if that changes anything)
He is Okay, but still worse in general.
This take into account R2 Elegy 25% Atk buff & His DPS potential.
Problem with Venti is that most characters won't be able to reliably do DPS when His Q is active if we face light weight enemies.
And He lose his Value when we face Heavy Weight enemies / ST due to lack additional utility to justify His slot compared to Kazuha or Sucrose.
Xianyun came out and completely destroyed all other diluc teams
Only at C2.
It has been tested C0 Xianyun is mostly identical to minor upgrade over Traditional Team in ST and mostly downgrade in AoE over Traditional Teams, especially Vape.
The only thint Xianyun "destroy" Over traditional Team is QoL in multiwave setups.
Melt Dragonstrike is also still noticably stronger than even Xianyun + Furina in ST.
now this tier list is absolutely gone thanks to xianyun and furina, no need to run 5 star weapons js get rain slasher or even proto
Objectively Xianyun and Furina isn't necessarily Better than all of the Traditional Teams at C0, Furina Herself is in fact worse than Yelan in most cases, especially ST.
She, along with Furina only made rest of the Teams obsolete when they are at C2 & at least C1 respectively.
And don't forget the fact Xianyun is worse than almost ANY non Plunge Team in AoE (especially against tanky lightweight enemies like Fatui Agents) due to the lack of CC and Diluc insane Knockback.
Unless you have C2 Kazuha and pair both of them, She will perform much worse than even F2P Diluc Vape in this scenario (Sucrose, XQ, Bennett)
Tl;dr
Xianyun is good on paper but isn't game changing and basically locked to ST / Boss UNLESS She is at high investment due to practical reason.
Furina while good is gated by cons to be better than all of the Top Diluc Team variants (Yelan + Sucrose / Kazuha Vape, Kaeya + Kazuha Melt & Melt Dragonstrike)
