The reaction was great. Nothing wrong with any of the criticisms, good or bad. Lisa is an amazing dancer obviously but I think she'll appreciate any pointers from different perspectives. Lisa is always immaculate in my eyes but it's great to see other dancers reactions.
I don't think looking down every now and then indicates lack of confidence or anything at all. Even when Lisa momentarily looks away from the camera, she still has that presence that directs your attention towards her. She is very confident in her dancing abilities since she's been dancing since 4 years old. Lisa is also known for her facial expressions while dancing. So, every move she does, whether it's looking straight at you or away, trust her it's intentional.
I always thought looking away was intentional, like giving off cool/indifferent vibes, I've seen other dancers do that like bts jimin. Also michael jackson literally poses while staring sideways for the same effect.
I liked that reaction. I really enjoyed the technical advice and small things like the eyes. I’ve seen a lot of reactions but most seem to only say great things and while I love idolizing someone I love learning how to be better more? It was small things like that, things I didn’t even notice until mentioned but then realized it had in fact changed the feeling. It was refreshing to take a step back and watch Lisa grow into an amazing dancer through this comp rather then just screaming about how amazing she is from the start, and that; I believe at least, allows us appreciate how far she’s come.
loved this reaction!! people say they want honesty but when they get it… it’s totally fair to say that lisa has evolved and improved over the years and has a style that suits some songs better than others. doesn’t change the fact that’s she’s of the best dancers in the industry!
this reaction is GREAT in my opinion it’s nice to see other dancers perspective lisa is an amazing and established dancer but doesn’t mean she can’t get criticism and the best part about this dancer is that she saw the progression of each lili film like even tho she didn’t love the hip hop side she still pointed out how they eventually got better with each new one. she’s amazing and lisa would definitely appreciate it that someone is saying she improved
I wanted to mention that in salsa dancing when dancing with a partner, the passive dancer role does look down at certain times, in certain moves. It makes the dancer look more feminine.
Her criticisms are very interesting and show that sometimes dance is a difference in opinions all together. Almost everyone I watch (myself as well) tend to think she does the hip hop/masculine type dance very well while she thinks (or thought before the movie) the opposite. And she perceives looking down as showing less confidence. While I do agree with that at times, in Lisa’s case she was definitely not coming off as unsure of herself. Her choice of when and where to make eye contact seems very intentional and an artistic choice. But I respect her opinion of course. Just fun to see different perspectives. I also love how she pointed out how much Lisa has evolved. Lilifilm the movie is definitely the best for me as well. I
Lisa is amazing..she is a pro...she is fast learner too ..easy choreo she can just learn by watching it once ....she has been tested at a show too..that's why they call dance machine... doesn't take more than 2 hours to learn the toughest of toughest choreography
when you look down it doesn't make you look unconfident, it's such an old-school dance thing like in europena dances they tell you not to look down but when you do its a certain feeling like sensual so i really hate that concept of you're not supposed to look down
These kinds of artistic choices are always subjective. It can be a problem when someone trained a certain way becomes dogmatic about the "rules" and in a largely unconscious mental process called "confirmation bias" actually will have a negative response to something that other people (not trained in the same way) will see as being beautiful and aesthetically excellent. It's like the dogma ("rule") is so ingrained that seeing it "broken" automatically triggers a "this is not good" response...because for years they were indoctrinated to associate it with not being correct.
@@TEAM__POSEID0N yes I agree I’ve had this experience after taking dance classes in different studios. I just don’t like when people project that onto others as if it’s the standard. Dance should be liberating and an artistic experience.

I’m a dancer as well and Lisa definitely has the sauce. That cravin performance was fly af. The thing that probably seems “off” is that she’s really skinny which you or even myself at first probably wasn’t used to seeing with that type of movement. That’s why the tomboy choreo performance looked better with the baggy suit. The swag is definitely there though. Side note something I’ve noticed from videos is that Lisa performs these choreos better than Cheshir herself imo. Other note that floor move in tomboy where she’s doing those hops with her legs while simultaneously doing a broken down wave with her right arm is FLAMESS. One of the sickest moves out of all the choreos

@@mrs_rover Well, just because someone loves what they see in Lisa's dancing doesn't mean that it's a "fake reaction" and being hyper-critical with comments like "this isn't her bag" and joking about her slender figure doesn't mean that the reaction is more genuine. People come into these things with different mindsets. Most of the reactions are great. I really like this channel. And if someone is making a genuinely well-informed critique, they will provide details of how improvements could be made and you'll find yourself thinking, "yes as cool as this performance was, I can see how those improvements would have made it even better." But there have been a couple of reactors here where it actually looks like their ego is getting in the way of being able to appreciate what they're seeing. One of the tell-tale signs is the snarky "small booty" comment. It's also like they have to find ways to put down the performances in order to cast themselves in a superior, judging position. But when there is no solid objective critique to be made, you get ambiguous put-down comments like "this just ain't her bag". Like literally millions of people, including haters, have watched the #2 video. But even the haters didn't think of using "not her bag" as an angle of attack (probably because it has no definable meaning that can even be argued about).

I've seen plenty of other dancers reactions to lisa (like some i just want to know from different style dancers point of view), and this chick is the most non-valid. Not because she is criticizing but because of her specific comments. I've seen others critic her with valid opinions (and yes, they're not necessarily praising her, or say this could be better) that actually make sense but when this woman critic her it seem really of base. It doesn't help she says almost nothing to actually back up her thoughts. The only thing i can think of she talks about in depth is lisa looking down but (even to an untrained eye) it clearly something lisa does intentionally to add to the sensuality. Also to say hip-hop dance isn't her bag is WILD lmfao. She been practicing and performing hip-hop dance syle since like 10 or 11. Last comment that i found really of base (even tho there's a few more) is the growth comment between lili film 4 and movie. Not saying someone cant get better in the amount of time but logically it wasn't really that far apart and considering how she started of (again hip-hop) dancing around 10 then became a k-pop trainee for 5yrs at 14 safe to say confidence, or hip-hop (which is what got her noticed in the first place) isn't really an issue with her. This woman's criticism just doesn't feel (or complements cuz some of them seem kinda back handed) genuine. I tried to be natural like with the other dance react videos but this woman just aint valid here
Jenna must have a good eye to notice what was “missing” in the earlier pieces but so much improved in the last piece. I have only read like 3 comments, and already someone was defending Lisa like everything Lisa does in every dance is intentional and perfect. But let’s be real, Lisa’s dance skills have continued to improve. She gets better all the time, and it takes away from the credit she deserves if you don’t recognize or acknowledge her progress. Jenna even mentioned how she herself struggled with something (arms?), so I assume that as a dancer Jenna can recognize and understand the struggle LOL. Anyway, I really enjoyed the reaction. I actually hadn’t seen these videos before, and I totally understood where Jenna was coming from. Lisa was da bomb in the movie. (On a related note, isn’t it crazy how amazing an idol looks until you see them dancing next to the choreographer? 🤣 It makes me want to defend the idol (cough cough Taemin), even though the choreographer obviously interprets the piece on a whole other level.)
The looking down may be a flirtatious move, seductive if you will, in keeping with the dance and music? Might be an idea to have this lady, and the other dancers, reactions to the BLACKPINK dance practices - or Lisa's solo M/Vs or practices?
I'm used to watching reactions from this channel and other ones that come from choreographers and dancers like Jenna and it's always fun to see the technical points of it in comparison to what I've learned over the years on a personal level but idk, some comments feel a bit back-handed and some others feel a bit rigid. Maybe it was from this channel or another but there was a contemporary dancer (I think) that was also very focused on the critical part and I really loved her reaction because you could see her objectivity was above her subjectivity. Even her way of explaining things and technicalities was so on point. Gotta appreciate that more. But those are just my two cents
Oooohhh. Nice reaction.. would want to watch you dancing tho, it's seems that you're very professional. Let me share this video to other Blinks and Lilies.🙂
I appreciate an honest opinion as much as anyone and in my eyes that’s what was given. Does this mean I agree with everything this young lady said? No. First, one of the first things noted by those that picked her out of 3,999 other audition hopefuls was her confidence. It stood out to them. Lisa is humble but she’ll be the first to tell you she’s the best dancer around so, imho, I don’t think her looking down from time to time is a confidence issue. I don’t agree with the “this isn’t her bag” quote either cuz the thing is, dancing…is her bag. Now is every form her strongest? Probably not but what I do know is that every type of dance she performs she puts 100%+ into it and she has more than proven herself capable of taking on any genre. Everyone is subject to criticism, especially celebrities and Lisa has certainly dealt with her fair share. She is a member of the biggest girl group in the world and is arguably one of the biggest Kpop artists on her own. She’s a brand ambassador for Celine and Bulgari. She’s known as a prolific dancer amongst her peers and she just won a VMA for best Kpop. I don’t think a little criticism is gonna tarnish her career or her continuing rise in popularity. Just sayin…
Not sure if Lisa picked the song Tomboy or if the Choreo and song were picked together. But when Destiny was on a lunch date with a friend, they got to talking about this clip, LiliFilm the Movie. and the story was told, the song was about 2 years old now and not getting views. Destiny was months from being broke, then Lisa used the song in her clip and kick started Destiny's career all over again. people started to stream the song and follow Destiny getting her recognition. ua-cam.com/video/XGjdQIaPA5s/v-deo.html This is a link to an interview of Destiny telling the story in her words
Cheshir Ha (Lisa's friend and choreographer) initially picked the song and asked Lisa if she liked the idea of dancing to it. Lisa loved the song and they proceeded to make "Lili's Film The Movie." Destiny has expressed gratitude multiple times. The views on Tomboy tripled in just a week or so after Lisa's dance video came out.

I think she was fair and pretty spot on, especially as her opinion evolved towards the end with The Movie; by then Lisa had realllllly developed as a dancer and performer
Jenna is an extensionist. Her dance training is very professional to the point that they can be proficient towards ANY song. What Jenna probably missed is that her choreo AND movement is proportional and according to the vibe of the song. No OVER EXTENSIONS, no over Emoting, no untimed random EXTENDED Eyecontact. She's articulating the feel of the song. When the hard beats comes she goes hard, when its soft, its soft. Dynamics was the word often used. You dont go aggressive on a non aggressive songs.
@@abramrexjoaquin7513 she said that Lisa eye contact should be improved when that is one thing that other professional dancers and choreographers praise Lisa for. @@abramrexjoaquin7513 Lisa’s greatest strength outside of her actual dance skills is her perfect control over her entire body. Plus you can’t say Lisa developed massively from Lilifilm 1 through the The Movie since it was only a little over a year time span for all five Lilifilm dances. She has mastered her craft at a young age, and she does still continue to train because she never wants to stop learning. But her facials, her eye contact, and her confidence are some of her strongest attributes that all of the other dancers and choreographers have praised her for. Jenna does have unusual ideas and opinions. They are her personal opinions but I happen to strongly disagree with her.

I tried to be natural like with the other dance react videos but this woman just aint valid here
💯 fact!!!
Thank you for your reaction #lisa #Lalisa #blackpinklisa
I love and appreciate your criticism!
I love reaction LISA
Just sayin…
Thanks for reaction
This is a good review, very raw ...
I think they said that the floor when they shoot the 3rd video was very slippery.
@@TEAM__POSEID0N Lisa has so much pull with her followers, she is like the Asian Oprah, lol You get a million views, and you get a million views. lol The minute Lisa drops a clip, oops, it has a million views.
Although I loveeee how Lisa dances and other people absolutely loving everything she puts out in so glad to come across some criticism ! Especially from someone who knows what’s up and I’m sure Lisa would too
Knows what's up? Really? Just how do you come to that conclusion?
@@iamguava bruh what do you mean? Why does it matter
@@melanimonje99 because the criticism makes no sense. And why does this girl "know's what's up"? Who is she? Some random nobody lol. There are many, many internationally renowned dancers that have a different opinion; I will go with them, thanks.
@@iamguava ….i still don’t get why your upset . Idk what to tell you dude I just write how I talk and it’s just a comment to a commentary video so please🥲I’m tired
@@melanimonje99 ok, have a good night. Oh, and I'm not upset, just as I am absolutely certain that Lisa won't ever see these ridiculous so called "experts"

you out here telling she couldve done this and that but at the end of the day shes an awsome dancer and youre the one watching her
And here you are watching my friend LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOL why did you watch this ??
@@Koko3op you think i came to watch u? Bro i came to watch lisa not u
LISA didn't secured her spot at 13 against thousands of trainees for nothing
Lisa has lack of confidence when dancing? Really? 😂 I strongly disagree with her opinion.
She said “SOMETIMES when she’s looking down it seems like she isn’t as confident”. That’s a different comment and her own fair observation. Please pay attention closely lol
@@Koko3op Like I said, I disagree with her opinion and I think it’s disrespectful the “she ain’t got no bootty” part.
@@Koko3op you consistently refuse to address the body shaming, could that be because you think that your wonderful "expert" was wrong?
Everything's fine but saying she's not confident...nah
I don't like ur reaction..really can u even dance 1% of her...

I’d love to see her reacting blackpink

Im curious if she know the songs before or after lili film...
Lillies loves you
Finally a good critical reaction
❤❤❤❤❤❤🎉😊🥰
Completely agree. I love Lisa and don’t deny that she’s an amazing dancer but her “swaggy” hip hop is not the best.
I'm subscribed here because I know i'll get THE BEST REACTION from pros. I don't want to hear another "waaah" "woo" "naaah". I want to know objective opinion. Lalisa is my artist and I support her but i'd like to know more about her skills. Loved this reaction. Love her. Lots of love. I hope to see more reaction videos from her and Ceecee.
Where do I find Jenna?

Nicee reaction.
Why do I feel like this dancer is insecure or something lol
She praised Lisa a lot so I dunno where you got that impression from.
@@Koko3op They seemed to be backhanded compliments though lol🙄
@@dskrip24 I dunno maybe you're projecting lol. Everyone expresses themselves in their own way. There's no need for them to be backhanded, she's just reviewing her dance, she doesn't know anything about Lisa it's not that deep.
Everything lalisa do is intentional....
Please reaction blackpink Lisa solo stage at youth with you season 2 and 3
Some no name commenting on Lisa what a joke
Doesn't matter if you can sing, your super hot! Wheres your dance video Jenna!?
Haha check her insta @jennaabrandon
right! like the entire time I was staring at her
I think she is choreographer but lisa ‘s dances feel like an idol not same dancer instructor. Btw I love lisa dances ,very satisfied to watching ☺️☺️
React to señorita please
I really did not like her reaction at all compared to every other dancer that has reacted to Lisa. She has very strange opinions, but I guess that's what they are - just her opinions.
She said she is not confident in hip hop when Lisa started dance lessons age 4 and won many awards, she was in a dance crew until being the only person picked by YG from 4,000 people in Thailand age 14 (they stated that it was Lisa's confidence that made her stand out). As I said, Jenna has her opinion, it just seems to differ from other professionals opinions. I like the channel and respect Jenna's opinion, just that I don't happen to agree with her.
@@abramrexjoaquin7513
Lisa’s greatest strength outside of her actual dance skills is her perfect control over her entire body.
She’s a bodyshamer too, idk how people just ignored her commenr ‘She aint got no booty’ dafuq!
Smh🙄
Bitter.
Can't even pronounce her name after so many reaction. Guess you ain't interested.

Dude you were way more out of the bag with your reasons about Hip hop not In Lisa's bag than the actual statement. Every girl can dance feminine but seeing a girl can dance in other genres which is less feminine and doing it very professionaly makes it much cooler. I feel like you don't like hip hop dance from your words rather than not liking Lisa dancing hip hop
She clearly said she liked her hip hop execution in the movie. Did you finish her reaction? Also she’s allowed to dislike Lisa dancing hip hop if that’s how she feels as a dancer loool
@@Koko3op Finished and she still felt the same about her hip hop.
Yes you are allowed to dislike anything, but it doesn't feel honest if you dislike something from someone who has reputation on those elements. Lisa is famous for her facial expressions and contact with viewers. And also her hip hop dance. It felt weird when i heard her explaining lisa looked down at the beginning of the 2nd dance. The dance doesn't even start then, she was looking at the sky or building or something
