IM NATIVE AMERICAN . met My Husband In College, I've Never Heard Of Samoa, He Has Opened My Eyes And Heart To Whole New Type Of Love. He Is Such A Hard Worker And Loving Father . He says It Is So Hard To Adjust From Samoan Life To American Sometimes. As He Hated Chores,LOL. But I Told Him Im Very Thankful For The Samoan LifeStyle It Keeps You Grounded ANd Keeps You Humble ANd Appreciate Life Itself. He says Its A Struggle But I Tell You It Is Good To Be Born and Brought Up Samoan Way, Being Born An AMerican We ARe So Ignorant To THe World ANd Samoa Amerika ANd Western Is Both Should Never BE Said It's A Struggle As That's How YOur People Survied All THese Years Upon Earth. Never SAy It is A Struggle, It is What Makes Real Men, Men. Im Proud of All Samoans . Even though You Say THis IS Daily Life, Be Proud That You CAn Survive When Others Would Perish. Alofa Atu

Samoa, needs to have manufacturing companies that will create jobs for employments. personally I would like for the government of Samoa to connect with the American government to start this process, this would be the best infrastructure movement for the Samoan people, hopefully this issue will develop a positive government approach to start thinking outside the box for the Samoan people ASAP!!

I hope one day I'll move back to Samoa to use our family land. Samoa lifestyle is not hard, it's freedom of what you want to do and how long you want to spend in the plantation. It's hard cos they don't get paid for there hard work unless they sell their produce. My family moved to NZ, and then Australia thinking it's the land where milk and honey flows but don't realise how hard they have to work to get paid. My dad always reminisce about how good life was in Samoa, working in the plantation, drinking brew with the uncles and all his mates, and going fishing.
Then we moved to NZ and I remembered he'll start work at 6am finish 9:30pm only to make $300-$390 per week back in the early 90s. And spend hours massaging his legs.
My dad is 78 and has so much knowledge of Samoa and the good old days. My grandfather was a prominent man back in Samoa, and one time the police came to the village where they were staying and took all their home brew, and I dad rang my grandfather and told him what happened and said to him to go to Apia police station and wait for his call. So my grandfather rang the head chief of the police had the same police officer that took the brew put back into the Ute and took my dad back home with the brew and put it back where they got it. And my dad was saying the village couldn't believe what they were seeing. Lol. I think the head Chief of police then it's his son that's the head Chief now and still good friends with my dads younger brother. Last time we saw him at the Fish market he gave my mum and dad some money and got them some fish to take home.

If you ask me island life isn't really that hard. Yeah you work for your food but you do the same in a developed country sometimes you work even longer. In the islands your food is right there in your yard. You can nurture your plantations everyday and take as many rest as you want but you surely dont work 8-12hrs in a day because who would wanna work that long in the sun anyway it's just dumb if you dont take a rest from the sun. When I was in Samoa everyone is always home either sleeping when it's hot HAHAHAHAHHA in developed countries you're more stressed because you have to pay rent, land, Bill's are more expensive, budget your money and theres just a lot more things to do and take care of

If I was living in Samoa I don’t depend on anybody for anything feau is a labor thing it’s all depends on time management by setting your priorities first den you need a job family is. Good but you have to be honest with your families that you will help them it doesn’t mean everything is on me other families members have to pull their weight it’s all in communication very important that’s where a good head of the family his job is to help out and teach youngster n watch over them we Samoa lost that because some families member doesn’t know what other Samoan say about certain things that’s why many Samoan men n women have to guest how you do certain in Samoa too much feapoko
