And it makes farming before the final boss faster and less tiresome because the shield stays on indefinitely while letting you automatically spawnkill and loot the caterpillars just by camping on the wall.
Look really closely at the stage's ceiling at about 0:32. There's an enemy from the Classic Mega Man game, the "Battaton" or "Bubble Bat", and it's the only one to show up in the entire X series.
Mudkip the Mud Fish Pokemon There's actually a trick/ easter egg where that enemy always gives a lot of health whenever you kill it, and it continues to do so after respawning.
Three things about this stage You can actually slip past the second grinder saw machine if you cling to the right ledge above it and keep holding right. The long stretches of enemies make it great for grinding your sub tanks. When I do a buster boss run, the one exception I make is I do destroy Armored Armadillo’s shield with Electric Spark before switching back to the Buster, I’ve beat him with the shield before and it’s just really annoying as your best bet is to keep waiting until right after his rolling attack is done.
I love the help message at the bottom of the screen, with your avatar. It's so lovely, cute, nice to see, and especially an awesome idea ! I'll also try to use this idea in my videos, but ...find differents face from the same character in the same position, for the avatar, is so hard... Anyway, I love your video ^-^

Not sure if you new this,you can get a hadoken in this secret that one shots bosses. All power ups,/sub tanks/hearts,armor/ die 10times after gathering the energy on the mountain.thats where the capsules will appear on the 10th time. You can only use it at full health. Half circle forward attack
@legionofpie A little bit, but it does make for a more silly, fun result overall. XD The game gave me the weapon, so I make use of it! That said, if I cared more about the game overall I may of gone the route of avoiding the most broken weapons and doing buster only fights for the most part.
Are you going to be getting the Haduken? If you want a broken weapon. That's the one for sure. 1 hit kill any boss/monster in game If you dont know how to get it, im pretty sure you die 5 times in Armored armadillo's stage and its at the very end ontop the boss door(where you got the last HP thing @ 1:54)
@warriorxero I've come close do doing buster-only no-hit runs myself; the only parts of the Maverick stages that pose any problem are Sting Chamelion's and Launch Octopus' boss fights and the miniboss in Spark Mandrill's stage. Armored Armadillo's fight is just a patience thing (I'd have no problem with her busting the armor, then killing him), and the rest are pretty much jokes. As for Sigma Lvl 1, I totally agree. That level is insane to do a no-damage run of without using master weapons.
@legionofpie Launch is not too bad to buster only! Just take the rather defensive style I demonstrated in my run of it (months ago)... XD Just have to watch out for the quad homing missile attack. Sigma 1's definitely a pain due to that vertical shaft... The game even forces you to have the buster upgrade by then so every player will be able to cheese it with Chameleon Sting if they want... it seems expected! XD The bosses are easier than that one section, amusingly.
I was having a go at this game today and let him go into the pattern because you can play the left wall as soon as you pick it up and then play a game of cat and mouse... Takes forever though. x.x
alright, MMX isn't my childhood memories, but recently I figured 1 thing for any1 who want to beat him with X-buster only Never ever charge shot him. not only he will counterattack in some circumstance, but he also take 1 dmg, yeah, the same dmg as lemon shot.
He was my first Boss and really easy to take down, u have to jump and stay in the middle of the wall near the gate left like the whole battle, cause there he cant get u, if he got ground under his feet u get down quickly and shoot him up, thats it

This guy took me forever... i didn't even beat him with his weakness since i hadn't destroyed spark mandrill at the moment, heck I didn't even know about weaknesses when I beat him xD I used the shotgun ice and the sting to deal damage (since i didn't know about the dash glitch thingy until i watched these) and learned everything he could do... took me forever
@warriorxero Look up HideOfBeast. He's done X1-3 Buster Only, No Damage, and DASHLESS. He also did X4-6 Buster Only on Hard Mode. He uses charge shots, but it's still breathtakingly amazing.

Pardon Pink, but Armoured Armadillo is everything BUT a huge pain buster only. Yeah, he blocks your shots, but every time he does so he stops attacking. If you simply rapidfire his hide he can't do anything but roll around occasionally! Shucks, I even find him easier without the buster because he can barely attack and he'll still take plenty of damage if you just pound through his defenses with sheer machine-gun-style-firepower.
Umm did you just forgot to get The Secret hadouken upgrade? Guide: You can Get it In the end of the Stage going on the upper part, 5 times it worked for me
i always start with this boss, killing him without any upgrades weapons, with only 1 heart from his level is the most satisfying thing ever, plus starting with chill penguin all the time gets old and boring

It's not that hard to beat him with his armor on. Also, you can memorize his rolling attacks so it's not really that hard. But it is time consuming without his weakness.

The boss is a little bit tough with no x armor or heart tanks but it was still do-able for me.
