Yup pretty much copycats... One lady didn't even do them herself, just did planners but now decided to do Prayer Bibles. I was watching and i felt my decernment kick in and I stopped.

Great reply and I agree....why would there be criticism? More and more are getting excited about reading their Bibles.....they aren’t collecting dust like they used to. People are getting IN them. Reading and studying. AND learning scriptures! The Lord has got to be pleased and this sweet sisterita is going to be blessed because of what she has started. Persecution is expected....but if you’re helping and encouraging others to love the scriptures....she should be proud. I know God is! I love that you have addressed these critics. I had seen the criticisms, stopped for a moment to consider, and then went back to making my prayer Bibles. We are in prayer, we are in scripture, we serve a mighty God, a mighty Savior and the Holy Spirit. I am certainly not afraid of the prayer Bibles. Im on it now i have everything because I have been under sooo much attack in my prayers because i have had to stand alone with Father no one would listen to me and some do now but not much. My daughter is just trying to come back to the Lord after many many years and I’ll be making a scripture Bible with her this week. After years of self medicating with alcohol the Lord has left the 99 and pursued her and brought her back! I can’t begin to tell you what a blessing this will be for her! I’ve just started my Prayer Bible and it’s truly transformed my prayer life already! I’m even teaching my middle school girls small group, by having them mark and memorize their Identity in Christ scriptures each week. You have no idea how many lives will be transformed by your willingness to share an old/new way to pray scripture. Thank you for being a willing servant to the body of Christ! ❤😅

I am not sure what the commenter meant, but when I’ve heard “identity” scriptures they’ve referred to those that state who we are in Christ. They usually start with: in whom, in him, in Christ, etc. For example: (Ephesians 1:7 NIV 1984) In him we have redemption through his blood…My identity and how I see myself is that I am redeemed. Reading just the first chapter of the books of Ephesians or Colossians will get you started. Reply if this isn’t clear.

I have not encountered any negativity or criticism about prayer Bibles. I now have my own Prayer Bible and I select scripture carefully so as not to take out of its original meaning or context. Thank you for sharing!
I’ve been praying the Word of God for 30 years! I don’t believe the other creators are jealous or being negative! I think that as teachers and preachers they were just trying to remind us to not to pray scripture out of context. We have to handle the Word of God rightly. People have been praying scripture for decades. Gods people need to leave each other alone. That goes for all of us. Blessings Sister!

I think it was more about taking some verses out of context. I’ve created a prayer Bible but I am going to go back and make sure the verses I’ve , I’m going to read the chapter to make sure I’m using the verse correctly and not taking it out of context.

So I’m 54, and just bought my first 2 bibles. I’m over analytical, and I am also a creative person. I love artsy things as well. And I am absolutely horrible at praying. As I was reading through some of my Bible…. Things touched me. And I didn’t want to forget. But also, I wanted to keep reading. But then I would find more things I didn’t want to forget. I absolutely love your idea of how you index your Bible. Every morning part of routine is to ask God to lead me to video that will help me in my journey. This has been a two-fold blessing in my life. First, I have been so focused on what and who I’m praying for. Praying scripture is so incredibly powerful. I knew that my love and time in the Word would grow. However, I honestly didn’t expect so much of the second blessing… The Sisteritas! Being a part of the Facebook group has been so incredible! Seeing them love on each other and encourage each other on this journey has been the biggest blessing. It’s so rare on social media to see consistent LOVE for one another. Some even go so far as to share their research that has taken hours/days/weeks. You will know them by their fruits. The fact that all these people working on their prayer Bibles together are consistently showing love to one another says all I need to know about the Spirit behind the prayer Bibles. I understand that you are upset but did you first go to the individuals to speak with them. Maybe they just did not come across as they thought. Or was it done in a way of giving a warning but accidentally did not come across correctly.

I want you to know that the Prayer Bible has transformed my prayers, I feel like they have more substance, more thought and more power. It has helped me focus on verses that I don't always think of but have so much power. I don’t think I ever been so sad about something in my life. I have what I consider a really tough exterior but when I came across such videos and comments my heart got heavy. I still can’t quite wrap my mind around it. Prayer should always be encouraged.💜 SN: we have so much in common it’s scary! My last two children were not planned but I was 100% in favor of them and my husband said he was too old to start over. Fast forward to today and they are a huge blessing and has changed him for the better 💜
If you are talking about how to faith a life. I didn't think she said that is was a bad thing to do. Just that there are certain things that we could be doing for the wrong reason or taking it out of contacts. That is true for any spiritual thing. That you could have a not so biblical view on it. We are sinful people it is easy to make idols out of things. And faith has made comments on some of the things she does has and could be a idol. And to make sure you are doing that heart check. Even if it was started out at a health space.

@yHelloHello there has been many of times where I've gotten Prideful about how I was doing with my bible. There has also been times where I have felt like there is something wrong with me or shame that it does work well for me . Or it being a way that takes a lot of things out of contacts. There is nothing wrong with something being Popular. However just because it's popular doesn't mean it can't be used in a way that negative. Even if it is only 10% that it doesn't work well for.

I have always believed in praying scripture. I had a journal where I would write out verses that I wanted to pray for my girls. It got tiresome writing verses after verses. Then one day, your video just popped into my feed. What an idea, to just tab the prayer verses in the Bible & pray right from the Bible! I had never heard of a prayer Bible before. What a gift to my girls at the end of my life; a Bible marked with the prayers and tears of their mom. Thank you for letting God use you to share your heart.
Oh my gosh same! Been making the prayer journals for a long time and they were exhausting. Re write the scriptures by each person write everyone’s name …i was re-inventing the wheel everytime. This was so perfectly simple. I love it!

It’s also biblical to know and pray within context. There are so many Christian’s that teach prayer in a manner that treats the Lord as a “wish granter” or “genie in a bottle”… I’ll never forget when a fellow mom had her baby die right before my daughter died, that mom said she was praying for healing and when her baby died, she turned away from the Lord.
That's so sad! We need to remember He had a plan and a will and Is Good!!! Sometimes He doesn't answer our prayers the WAY we expect but He is good and Sovereign
@sewingmemories your point is very valid, as a bereaved mom I cringe with the platitudes told to me. Many mom’s leave the faith because of verses out of context, that is my mission to show help them back. When a mother is holding their dead child it is very hard to believe God is good. It takes much more for them.

I was very confused by the critical video when it came out esp since the person uses a prayer binder. All the things said about a prayer Bible could be said about a notebook. Thank you for clarifying this issue so calmly and with well thought out words.
I’m a 40 year Christian, graduated from Bible School. You are doing a great thing. Keep it up! I love EVERYTHING you said in this vid! Right on sisterita! I was so encouraged when I saw this last week. I went straight out and bought one and started it today! Soo excited! Love this! Prayer Bibles are brilliant. One of my first thoughts was … wait, what if I pray something out of context and then realized God is way bigger than an errantly targeted prayer. He isn’t bound to my words speaking error. Oh good grief what was I thinking? That’s so arrogant!! Nowhere in scripture does It say we can only pray a certain way or pray certain words and, by the way, KJV wasn’t the version Jesus spoke. I can say that the MORE you are in the Word of God the better. I have always heard God can’t steer a parked car. Just START and God will guide you into more truth. Pray the word and see what God does in your life. Anytime you start doing something powerful for God, the enemy will start reasoning as to why you could be wrong and shouldn’t do that. PRAY His word! YES! Resistance is our clue that this precious Sisterita is onto something here! Let God lead you, not man. God is not threatened by mistaken prayers. I can’t tell you how many stupid prayers I’ve prayed that I’m now thankful God didn’t answer! 😅 He is way more powerful than we can fathom. He has got you. Just pray and get in His Word! Jessica’s was also the first prayer Bible video I watched. Since then, I’ve created my own prayer Bible, have started reading my Bible daily and have brought out one of my Kay Arthur studies from years ago on the book of Ephesians that I never finished. It definitely has been a snowball effect for me. The more I’m in the word, the more I want to be in the word. 🙏🙏🙏

I do think that people should read a section not just a verse to check for taking scripture out of context. When you build a prayer bible ,read around the scripture you are praying. I do have a problem with people declaring things like they are God bringing things to pass. We are not God, we are praying and asking the God who knows far more than we ever can about the right thing for us. Sometimes He says no because He has a better plan, Sometimes it's no because He won't violate freewill.

There is room for all perspectives. People come to UA-cam, specifically for Bible content to find a calm distraction. As the counter argument, I have found, from personal experience, praying a verse can open up to hurtful expectations. I prefer a relationship with our God, a constant conversation. I can open my phone to any verse at any time and find it’s context quickly. That had brought me to a deeper understanding of Gods living, breathing word. I never knew prayer was such a stumbling for some. The conversation has opened my eyes. Praying you continue with love and a humble heart. Wishing all peace in a chaotic world.

I believe that both channels are beautiful, and both are used by God. Her intention was only to remind us that this is an excellent tool, we just have to be careful in the context, even so she did not want to fall into legalism. And if sometimes we will go out of context because we are not theologians, but God is going to correct us as sisterita has said and He will still understand our prayer, do not let the points of view of each one provoke anger, it is always good to listen to the opinion from others, and yes, I understand that sometimes it is very uncomfortable but that is what shapes us, iron sharpens iron.😊❤
IF this in video is response to BibleNerd’s video I definitely understood it the way @oc777 explained out. I’m actually really sad to see this kind of response back. It’s causing unnecessary drama. I think we should pray for both of them, they are our sisters. I ask the rest of the people not to put lemon on the wound, not to say things like; She is jealous of you, Satan doesn't want us to read the Bible and pray; Well, he really doesn't want to, but please don't say that in this case, those comments are incorrect and only divide the body of Christ, you don't need to use those words to generate more division and do more damage, be prudent with the pain of both. We are all on the same team, it is better that we pray so that they can reconcile, perhaps a beautiful friendship will emerge from this.
Agreed. The problem with reaction videos is they are simply that…reactionary. I feel broken-hearted that this couldn’t be handled privately. This opens the door for so many lost and searching souls to see one more reason to not trust the body of Christ. I watched the videos that were seemingly critical and I truly heard kindness and heartfelt advice. That said, I am seeing this channel for the first time and this grandma hopes to watch some other sisterita videos now and perhaps start a prayer Bible of my own. And I intend to keep being blessed by Faith, too. 💗
Hi. A similar negative reaction happened a handful of years ago when people started journaling and illustrating in their bibles. The result? Lots of creators withdrew. So during lock down when this ministry could have lifted people up was no longer on UA-cam except people selling pencils etc. THE PRAYER BIBLES ARE AMAZING. IT'S GOT PEOPLE I TO THEIR BIBLES. LOOKING AT VERSES AND FINDING THEIR WAY AROUND THEIR BIBLES. WE ARE SOO BLEST TO HAVE BIBLES I OUR OWN LANGUAGE. GOD BLESS THIS MINISTRY AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. ❤

You're missing the point. Do you read/study Scripture out of context too? Because if you think about it, they're the same thing. So taking verses out of context for prayer Bibles is fine, then it is fine taking verses out of context while reading/studying, yes?
I just finished watching your video. I to have been praying for my youngest daughter to stop practicing witchcraft and come to the Lord for several years now, only I started praying scripitually when I started doing the prayer bible and last Sunday she got saved on the phone with me and is excited to learn more about Christ. I give credit to praying scripitually.
I spent 90% of my weekend in my bible gathering themes, highlighting and discovering scriptures in a way I have never done before. I am so excited to be in my bible. Themed prayer bible videos have been a game changer that has given me a thirst for the Word of God ❤

I have a difficult time remembering scripture and this is a new way of not only remembering scripture but also include it in my prayers and I'm actually spending more time in the word. I can read one verse and the spirit will prompt me to read the chapter.

Thank you for this! I was so dismayed when I came across a negative video yesterday about making a prayer Bible and suggesting we just use our regular Bibles. My first thought was, why would you discourage someone from creating a tool to help them in their prayer life? I'd been thinking a lot about praying Scripture when one of your videos popped up in my feed. It was exactly what I needed to help me get started. It's been slow going but so rewarding. We don't all have to have lookalike Bibles. Everyone can customize their own and continue to add Scripture verses as they see fit. The enemy would like nothing better than to see this passion to pray God's Word fizzle out. Keep going, Jessica, and thank you for igniting a spark in so many of us!
that's like saying we shouldn't have different Bible versions or even study Bibles 🙄. of course we should because the goal is always to find the truth HIS truth. Having a Bible that is set apart for prayer is precious. I know when I hold mine there's a special feeling I get probably like someone going into a prayer closet or walking in the woods - it brings me closer mentally, and that's enough for me.
If it's the same video I watched, she's really careful to never teach that we need to spend extra money to grow closer to God. So, for myself, adding some prayer tabs to my existing journaling Bible makes more sense. Neither is wrong. Both are praying the Word.
Take heart. I made a prayer Bible and it has changed my prayer life in a profound and awesome way. Its made praying easier, quicker and more likely for me to do it. Thank you.

Hi Nicki I watched your original video where you were teaching folks to not take the bible out of context, and then the very next day giving credit to Jessica, Sisterita Club, for the Prayer Bible video. So I cannot see this being directed at you. If it was it should have been shared with you. I think I am reacting to this as I just read yesterday, Matthew 18: 15-17 and it seems to me, Jessica, that this could have been resolved quietly without making everyone feel like crud.

A conversation should have been had and possibly a video for us to see afterwards because now it seems there’s a division within the kingdom. But Faith has made a video apologizing when I didn’t think what she said was negative at all.
I know the enemy is trying to cause divisions and I know that he is an expert at twisting peoples words (& parts of videos!) to make them sound different than what was intended. I have given way too much mental energy and worry to this last night and today 😢 and I know that’s not bringing God the glory. Well this recent Prayer Bible revival is so timely. Look at what’s going on in this crazy world. Keep praying for our nation, for war victims, for faith leaders, world leaders, for the oppressed, for children. So much spiritual warfare going on. But we’ve got a God who is ready to respond to our sincere, heart-felt prayers.

I've been a Christian for 49 years. This is not my doing, God has kept me for 49 years. I can see Prayer Bibles are a two way street: us getting closer to God and God teaching us more about His Word. I love the idea and I will start my own prayer bible. I needed something to help me pray and organize my thoughts but I didn't know what until I stumbled on your video! I say to critics, do what works for you and it's ok to try different things. You might not like a prayer Bible but if it works for others, why does it matter? My great grandmother prayed for her family and future generations that followed. I feel those prayers today even though I never met her as she had passed before I was born.
I have been asking God to show me how I can learn scripture and use his word in prayer. Your prayer Bible was a answered prayer. Naturally I am aware of the context of the verses I use. Jesus himself quoted God’s word when he was tempted in the desert.
Well said. I had never heard of prayer Bibles before, but it makes perfect sense to me to use Gods words to speak with him and to petition to him the desires of our heart.

You are so correct! I think any time we can get into God’s word, it is a great thing. The devil can use anyone, and evidently the nay sayers are being used. The devil would like nothing better than people be discouraged from reading the Bible. As far as being out of context, Gods’s word is never out of context! When we read the Bible, we become curious as to what else the scripture says. Hopefully, we will use these themes and then delve deeper into God’s word.
I am starting my first prayer Bible as a gift. I think it’s a wonderful idea. I have prayed scripture for quite awhile. But writing out verses gets to be a lot. I don’t get past all those certain verses that I have written. This way it’s easy to move to pray different subjects. Thank you so much for your prayer Bible videos that came up on my feed. Beautiful, heartfelt message to us -- I am grateful for your words and enthusiasm in guiding us while we work through our Prayer Bibles and the power of Scripture! Just this afternoon, I spent 4 hours working on my Prayer Bible. While assembling, I read many Chapters and Verses of the topics I chose -- it was a great Bible study time and I was using my small, convenient NIV Prayer Bible to make some tabs and notations while studying. My Sunday afternoon was full of joy! For some YT Channels to declare that Prayer Bibles are a fad or verses are being taken out of context is disingenuous. Negative and unsubstantiated criticisms will have little merit with those of us who are following the power of prayer and our interests in making Prayer Bibles. Earlier this evening, I spent about 30 minutes speaking and praying with the Lord. I was not using my Prayer Bible -- the verses were fresh and on my heart. Having a Bible that's organized with specific topics is really helping! I'm feeling more empowered with my prayers than ever before. May God continue to bless you. ❤❤

My husband and I were on a two hour drive a couple of weeks ago and I was telling him about the negativity you were receiving, and from people that I had been following a long time. I was really troubled by this. I could see jealousy in these people. Certainly not a Christian virtue at all! You have handled it with the utmost grace. I don't think it's about jealousy. The other sister has a deep love and a beautiful heart toward Jesus. I think what it comes down to is how our brains work, and that "she" doesn't need this way of praying the way we do. If her prayer life isn't broken, she doesn't need to fix it. For me, my prayer life has been sorely lacking, and THIS METHOD is working for me... because of how I'm wired. Sometimes we're skeptical or critical of things we don't understand. We're all different and need to show each other a lot of grace. I love both of these sisters and will pray for unity so that people can enjoy continuing to follow them both. Satan knows they are both a huge blessing to the body and wants to disrupt that.
@@cherismith5707 I don’t believe we are thinking of the same person. I’ve seen more than one person have something to say and/or criticizing the prayer Bibles. There is one I have seen claiming that this was her idea and that she started this years ago. Plus, this was not the first time I’ve seen this particular person say that to someone. That is what I was speaking of. This person saw someone with a similar idea and how it has just snowballed and it seems she wants credit for it. We all know there are no patents on how to use the Bible. I do understand your explanation and I believe I know who you are referring to. I am definitely not a fan of negativity. I believe if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all. I love Jessica’s videos. They truly resonate with me and I plan to continue watching, learning, and creating in my Christian walk.

The first moments I had with truth was with a paperback New Testament given to me by the Knights of Columbus for my Confirmation. In the back of that Bible it had a concordance with verses I needed to hear. God transforms us through His word! I still remember me telling God, I need to know your Truth! Thank you for sharing this prayer form! It’s biblical! Catholics pray the Psalms 6 times a day! Bet you didn’t know that! 😘
I recently found you through your Prayer Bible vids. I ADORE them. I want to share that my mother saw me working on mine, and for the first time, she bought a Bible so we can make them and PRAY together!!!! God is working through you to encourage prayer! I was offended when I heard the term “fad” too, but I prayed to be “slow to anger” (James 1:19-20) and continued praying with my prayer Bible. Don’t let the critics get to you my sister in Christ. My daughter is just trying to come back to the Lord after many many years and I’ll be making a scripture Bible with her this week. After years of self medicating with alcohol the Lord has left the 99 and pursued her and brought her back! I can’t begin to tell you what a blessing this will be for her! I’ve just started my Prayer Bible and it’s truly transformed my prayer life already! I’m even teaching my middle school girls small group, by having them mark and memorize their Identity in Christ scriptures each week. You have no idea how many lives will be transformed by your willingness to share an old/new way to pray scripture. Thank you for being a willing servant to the body of Christ! ❤😅

I am not sure what the commenter meant, but when I’ve heard “identity” scriptures they’ve referred to those that state who we are in Christ. They usually start with: in whom, in him, in Christ, etc. For example: (Ephesians 1:7 NIV 1984) In him we have redemption through his blood…My identity and how I see myself is that I am redeemed. Reading just the first chapter of the books of Ephesians or Colossians will get you started. Reply if this isn’t clear.

I have not encountered any negativity or criticism about prayer Bibles. I now have my own Prayer Bible and I select scripture carefully so as not to take out of its original meaning or context. Thank you for sharing!
I’ve been praying the Word of God for 30 years! I don’t believe the other creators are jealous or being negative! I think that as teachers and preachers they were just trying to remind us to not to pray scripture out of context. We have to handle the Word of God rightly. People have been praying scripture for decades. Gods people need to leave each other alone. That goes for all of us. Blessings Sister!

I think it was more about taking some verses out of context. I’ve created a prayer Bible but I am going to go back and make sure the verses I’ve , I’m going to read the chapter to make sure I’m using the verse correctly and not taking it out of context.

So I’m 54, and just bought my first 2 bibles. I’m over analytical, and I am also a creative person. I love artsy things as well. And I am absolutely horrible at praying. As I was reading through some of my Bible…. Things touched me. And I didn’t want to forget. But also, I wanted to keep reading. But then I would find more things I didn’t want to forget. I absolutely love your idea of how you index your Bible. Every morning part of routine is to ask God to lead me to video that will help me in my journey. This has been a two-fold blessing in my life. First, I have been so focused on what and who I’m praying for. Praying scripture is so incredibly powerful. I knew that my love and time in the Word would grow. However, I honestly didn’t expect so much of the second blessing…
The Sisteritas! Being a part of the Facebook group has been so incredible! Seeing them love on each other and encourage each other on this journey has been the biggest blessing. It’s so rare on social media to see consistent LOVE for one another. Some even go so far as to share their research that has taken hours/days/weeks.
You will know them by their fruits. The fact that all these people working on their prayer Bibles together are consistently showing love to one another says all I need to know about the Spirit behind the prayer Bibles.

I don’t think I ever been so sad about something in my life. I have what I consider a really tough exterior but when I came across such videos and comments my heart got heavy. I still can’t quite wrap my mind around it. Prayer should always be encouraged.💜 SN: we have so much in common it’s scary! My last two children were not planned but I was 100% in favor of them and my husband said he was too old to start over. Fast forward to today and they are a huge blessing and has changed him for the better 💜

If you are talking about how to faith a life. I didn't think she said that is was a bad thing to do. Just that there are certain things that we could be doing for the wrong reason or taking it out of contacts. That is true for any spiritual thing. That you could have a not so biblical view on it. We are sinful people it is easy to make idols out of things. And faith has made comments on some of the things she does has and could be a idol. And to make sure you are doing that heart check. Even if it was started out at a health space.

I have always believed in praying scripture. I had a journal where I would write out verses that I wanted to pray for my girls. It got tiresome writing verses after verses. Then one day, your video just popped into my feed. What an idea, to just tab the prayer verses in the Bible & pray right from the Bible! I had never heard of a prayer Bible before. What a gift to my girls at the end of my life; a Bible marked with the prayers and tears of their mom. Thank you for letting God use you to share your heart.
Oh my gosh same! Been making the prayer journals for a long time and they were exhausting. Re write the scriptures by each person write everyone’s name …i was re-inventing the wheel everytime. This was so perfectly simple. I love it!

It’s also biblical to know and pray within context. There are so many Christian’s that teach prayer in a manner that treats the Lord as a “wish granter” or “genie in a bottle”…
I’ll never forget when a fellow mom had her baby die right before my daughter died, that mom said she was praying for healing and when her baby died, she turned away from the Lord.
That's so sad! We need to remember He had a plan and a will and Is Good!!! Sometimes He doesn't answer our prayers the WAY we expect but He is good and Sovereign
@sewingmemories your point is very valid, as a bereaved mom I cringe with the platitudes told to me. Many mom’s leave the faith because of verses out of context, that is my mission to show help them back. When a mother is holding their dead child it is very hard to believe God is good. It takes much more for them.

I was so encouraged when I saw this last week. I went straight out and bought one and started it today! Soo excited! Love this! Prayer Bibles are brilliant. One of my first thoughts was … wait, what if I pray something out of context and then realized God is way bigger than an errantly targeted prayer. He isn’t bound to my words speaking error. Oh good grief what was I thinking? That’s so arrogant!! Nowhere in scripture does It say we can only pray a certain way or pray certain words and, by the way, KJV wasn’t the version Jesus spoke. I can say that the MORE you are in the Word of God the better. I have always heard God can’t steer a parked car. Just START and God will guide you into more truth. Pray the word and see what God does in your life. Anytime you start doing something powerful for God, the enemy will start reasoning as to why you could be wrong and shouldn’t do that.
PRAY His word! YES! Resistance is our clue that this precious Sisterita is onto something here! Let God lead you, not man. God is not threatened by mistaken prayers. I am creating one…and it’s not like we’re changing ANYTHING in the Bible…we are simply highlighting what it already says and repeating Gods word back to Him!! I love it! I’m doing it! Regardless! People didn’t accept Jesus so I expect the backlash! But we’re covered by the Blood of Jesus! 🙏

Jessica’s was also the first prayer Bible video I watched. Since then, I’ve created my own prayer Bible, have started reading my Bible daily and have brought out one of my Kay Arthur studies from years ago on the book of Ephesians that I never finished. It definitely has been a snowball effect for me. The more I’m in the word, the more I want to be in the word. 🙏🙏🙏

I do think that people should read a section not just a verse to check for taking scripture out of context. When you build a prayer bible ,read around the scripture you are praying. I do have a problem with people declaring things like they are God bringing things to pass. We are not God, we are praying and asking the God who knows far more than we ever can about the right thing for us. Sometimes He says no because He has a better plan, Sometimes it's no because He won't violate freewill.

There is room for all perspectives. People come to UA-cam, specifically for Bible content to find a calm distraction. As the counter argument, I have found, from personal experience, praying a verse can open up to hurtful expectations. I prefer a relationship with our God, a constant conversation. I can open my phone to any verse at any time and find it’s context quickly. That had brought me to a deeper understanding of Gods living, breathing word. I never knew prayer was such a stumbling for some. The conversation has opened my eyes. Praying you continue with love and a humble heart. Wishing all peace in a chaotic world.

I believe that both channels are beautiful, and both are used by God. Her intention was only to remind us that this is an excellent tool, we just have to be careful in the context, even so she did not want to fall into legalism. And if sometimes we will go out of context because we are not theologians, but God is going to correct us as sisterita has said and He will still understand our prayer, do not let the points of view of each one provoke anger, it is always good to listen to the opinion from others, and yes, I understand that sometimes it is very uncomfortable but that is what shapes us, iron sharpens iron.😊❤
IF this in video is response to BibleNerd’s video I definitely understood it the way @oc777 explained out. I’m actually really sad to see this kind of response back. It’s causing unnecessary drama. This is why non believers can’t get behind God because look how we treat each other. No one said not to make a prayer Bible or made it seem like a bad thing or said it wasn’t biblical. 🤦🏻♀️

I think we should pray for both of them, they are our sisters. I ask the rest of the people not to put lemon on the wound, not to say things like; She is jealous of you, Satan doesn't want us to read the Bible and pray; Well, he really doesn't want to, but please don't say that in this case, those comments are incorrect and only divide the body of Christ, you don't need to use those words to generate more division and do more damage, be prudent with the pain of both. We are all on the same team, it is better that we pray so that they can reconcile, perhaps a beautiful friendship will emerge from this.
Agreed. The problem with reaction videos is they are simply that…reactionary. I feel broken-hearted that this couldn’t be handled privately. This opens the door for so many lost and searching souls to see one more reason to not trust the body of Christ. I watched the videos that were seemingly critical and I truly heard kindness and heartfelt advice. That said, I am seeing this channel for the first time and this grandma hopes to watch some other sisterita videos now and perhaps start a prayer Bible of my own. And I intend to keep being blessed by Faith, too. 💗
Hi. A similar negative reaction happened a handful of years ago when people started journaling and illustrating in their bibles. The result? Lots of creators withdrew. So during lock down when this ministry could have lifted people up was no longer on UA-cam except people selling pencils etc. THE PRAYER BIBLES ARE AMAZING. IT'S GOT PEOPLE I TO THEIR BIBLES. LOOKING AT VERSES AND FINDING THEIR WAY AROUND THEIR BIBLES. WE ARE SOO BLEST TO HAVE BIBLES I OUR OWN LANGUAGE. GOD BLESS THIS MINISTRY AND GOD BLESS YOU AND YOUR FAMILY. ❤

You're missing the point. Do you read/study Scripture out of context too? Because if you think about it, they're the same thing. So taking verses out of context for prayer Bibles is fine, then it is fine taking verses out of context while reading/studying, yes?
I just finished watching your video. I to have been praying for my youngest daughter to stop practicing witchcraft and come to the Lord for several years now, only I started praying scripitually when I started doing the prayer bible and last Sunday she got saved on the phone with me and is excited to learn more about Christ. I give credit to praying scripitually.
I spent 90% of my weekend in my bible gathering themes, highlighting and discovering scriptures in a way I have never done before. I am so excited to be in my bible. Themed prayer bible videos have been a game changer that has given me a thirst for the Word of God ❤

I have a difficult time remembering scripture and this is a new way of not only remembering scripture but also include it in my prayers and I'm actually spending more time in the word. I can read one verse and the spirit will prompt me to read the chapter.

Thank you for this! I was so dismayed when I came across a negative video yesterday about making a prayer Bible and suggesting we just use our regular Bibles. My first thought was, why would you discourage someone from creating a tool to help them in their prayer life? I'd been thinking a lot about praying Scripture when one of your videos popped up in my feed. It was exactly what I needed to help me get started. It's been slow going but so rewarding. We don't all have to have lookalike Bibles. Everyone can customize their own and continue to add Scripture verses as they see fit. The enemy would like nothing better than to see this passion to pray God's Word fizzle out. Keep going, Jessica, and thank you for igniting a spark in so many of us!

Having a Bible that is set apart for prayer is precious. I know when I hold mine there's a special feeling I get probably like someone going into a prayer closet or walking in the woods - it brings me closer mentally, and that's enough for me.
If it's the same video I watched, she's really careful to never teach that we need to spend extra money to grow closer to God. So, for myself, adding some prayer tabs to my existing journaling Bible makes more sense. Neither is wrong. Both are praying the Word.
Take heart. I made a prayer Bible and it has changed my prayer life in a profound and awesome way. Its made praying easier, quicker and more likely for me to do it. Thank you.

If my prayer Bible videos were watched in order and in their entirety, I think my heart and my personal fears and my journey would be evident. The Prayer Bible Dangers video was recorded before that and before I even knew what a prayer Bible was defined as. I have removed that video this evening, so that no one else watches it out of context (not looking at my entire prayer Bible journey) so that they won’t be discouraged to create a Prayer Bible. Again, to everyone reading this, please forgive me. That was absolutely not my intent at all. And it wasn’t for algorithm and views, as like I said, I didn’t even know that my Bible study members were referring to a specific thing when they asked me “prayer Bible” questions. I thought a prayer Bible was a Bible that you write prayers in. We live in a broken world, full of broken people, and satan loves to divide people. So please forgive me if this is addressed to me 😢

Hi Nicki I watched your original video where you were teaching folks to not take the bible out of context, and then the very next day giving credit to Jessica, Sisterita Club, for the Prayer Bible video. So I cannot see this being directed at you.
If it was it should have been shared with you. I think I am reacting to this as I just read yesterday, Matthew 18: 15-17 and it seems to me, Jessica, that this could have been resolved quietly without making everyone feel like crud.

A conversation should have been had and possibly a video for us to see afterwards because now it seems there’s a division within the kingdom. But Faith has made a video apologizing when I didn’t think what she said was negative at all.
I know the enemy is trying to cause divisions and I know that he is an expert at twisting peoples words (& parts of videos!) to make them sound different than what was intended. I have given way too much mental energy and worry to this last night and today 😢 and I know that’s not bringing God the glory. Well this recent Prayer Bible revival is so timely. Look at what’s going on in this crazy world. Keep praying for our nation, for war victims, for faith leaders, world leaders, for the oppressed, for children. So much spiritual warfare going on. But we’ve got a God who is ready to respond to our sincere, heart-felt prayers.

I've been a Christian for 49 years. This is not my doing, God has kept me for 49 years. I can see Prayer Bibles are a two way street: us getting closer to God and God teaching us more about His Word. Plus effectively praying. Thank you for your ministry.

I love the idea and I will start my own prayer bible. I needed something to help me pray and organize my thoughts but I didn't know what until I stumbled on your video! I say to critics, do what works for you and it's ok to try different things. You might not like a prayer Bible but if it works for others, why does it matter? God created us all differently 🙂 There's enough negativity in this world and as a spiritual family, we should be known by the love we have for one another: John 13:35 "By this everyone will know that you are My disciples, if you have love and unselfish concern for one another.” AMP

My great grandmother prayed for her family and future generations that followed. I feel those prayers today even though I never met her as she had passed before I was born.
I have been asking God to show me how I can learn scripture and use his word in prayer. Your prayer Bible was a answered prayer. Naturally I am aware of the context of the verses I use. Jesus himself quoted God’s word when he was tempted in the desert.

You are so correct! I think any time we can get into God’s word, it is a great thing. The devil can use anyone, and evidently the nay sayers are being used. The devil would like nothing better than people be discouraged from reading the Bible. As far as being out of context, Gods’s word is never out of context! When we read the Bible, we become curious as to what else the scripture says. Hopefully, we will use these themes and then delve deeper into God’s word.

I am starting my first prayer Bible as a gift. I think it’s a wonderful idea. I have prayed scripture for quite awhile. But writing out verses gets to be a lot. I don’t get past all those certain verses that I have written. This way it’s easy to move to pray different subjects. Thank you so much for your prayer Bible videos that came up on my feed. Beautiful, heartfelt message to us -- I am grateful for your words and enthusiasm in guiding us while we work through our Prayer Bibles and the power of Scripture!
Just this afternoon, I spent 4 hours working on my Prayer Bible. While assembling, I read many Chapters and Verses of the topics I chose -- it was a great Bible study time and I was using my small, convenient NIV Prayer Bible to make some tabs and notations while studying. My Sunday afternoon was full of joy!
For some YT Channels to declare that Prayer Bibles are a fad or verses are being taken out of context is disingenuous. Negative and unsubstantiated criticisms will have little merit with those of us who are following the power of prayer and our interests in making Prayer Bibles.
Earlier this evening, I spent about 30 minutes speaking and praying with the Lord. I was not using my Prayer Bible -- the verses were fresh and on my heart. Having a Bible that's organized with specific topics is really helping! I'm feeling more empowered with my prayers than ever before.

My husband and I were on a two hour drive a couple of weeks ago and I was telling him about the negativity you were receiving, and from people that I had been following a long time. I was really troubled by this. I could see jealousy in these people. Certainly not a Christian virtue at all! You have handled it with the utmost grace. Not sure I would have been able to do that, but you are always teaching me! I love your channel and will always be here!💖

I don't think it's about jealousy. The other sister has a deep love and a beautiful heart toward Jesus. I think what it comes down to is how our brains work, and that "she" doesn't need this way of praying the way we do. If her prayer life isn't broken, she doesn't need to fix it. For me, my prayer life has been sorely lacking, and THIS METHOD is working for me... because of how I'm wired.
Sometimes we're skeptical or critical of things we don't understand. We're all different and need to show each other a lot of grace. I love both of these sisters and will pray for unity so that people can enjoy continuing to follow them both. Satan knows they are both a huge blessing to the body and wants to disrupt that.

There is one I have seen claiming that this was her idea and that she started this years ago. Plus, this was not the first time I’ve seen this particular person say that to someone. That is what I was speaking of. This person saw someone with a similar idea and how it has just snowballed and it seems she wants credit for it. We all know there are no patents on how to use the Bible. I do understand your explanation and I believe I know who you are referring to.
I am definitely not a fan of negativity. I believe if you have nothing nice to say, then say nothing at all.

The first moments I had with truth was with a paperback New Testament given to me by the Knights of Columbus for my Confirmation. In the back of that Bible it had a concordance with verses I needed to hear. God transforms us through His word! I still remember me telling God, I need to know your Truth! Thank you for sharing this prayer form! It’s biblical! Catholics pray the Psalms 6 times a day! Bet you didn’t know that! 😘
I recently found you through your Prayer Bible vids. I ADORE them. I want to share that my mother saw me working on mine, and for the first time, she bought a Bible so we can make them and PRAY together!!!! God is working through you to encourage prayer! I was offended when I heard the term “fad” too, but I prayed to be “slow to anger” (James 1:19-20) and continued praying with my prayer Bible. Don’t let the critics get to you my sister in Christ.
