I love Red Robin. I especially have good memories of them during my college years because me and a large group of friends would go there every Sunday night. Good times with endless fries!
My family loves Red Robin...Yum! The first visit was in Gainesville. Great service and food. Plus the fries basket is literally bottomless. Check it out on your next visit.
Hello! My name is Jessie and I am an advertising student at the University of Oklahoma. We are working with the Red Robin marketing team for our senior capstone, and have been tasked to conduct one-on-one interviews with Red Robin lovers. Would you be interested in interviewing? Thanks so much!
My mom used to sing Red Red Robin to wake us up in the morning when we were little. I still have it in my head some days. Thank you for that beautiful memory and coincidence ❤️
Red robin is fantastic, long as you have good staff, I've noticed a lot of their restaurants are slow and those bottomless stake fries can take upwards of 10 to 15 minutes to refill.
This is my experience with them sadly. If you tell them when you get your burger and ten fries you want more fries it's going to take at least 15 minutes to get your next batch. And again, not a ton of fries... Both times I went with a friend they were dead. I think they were putting down just cooking one "order" and splitting it between us. Like I get more fry ordering a large fry at McDonald's... Their burgers were fine but I felt lied to. Maybe if I move states I'll try again.
The restaraunts are severely understaffed and cooks work 10+ hour days most of the time. This burnout leads to performance issues which management wont rectify because they cant afford to fire people because it will lower their performance rating and again, the whole understaffed thing
Yeah I was a sever there and it was a joke just don’t get mad at the servers for your fry managers make the cooks do that to cut back in cost.... like why offer bottomless if your just gunna shrine out 10 frys that take 20 mins
I believe this is so that they can try to get you to order as little as possible to save money.
I've never heard of Red Robin restaurants in my life. I'm kind of old, well, really old, and have lived in different states. It's hard to believe that I always happened to live in one of the four states that had no Red Robin.
I've really been thinking about trying Red Robin for the past two weeks. This is a sign.
That's what happened they went public! It was better before that. I noticed the ingredient quality went down. No more cantaloupe. The servers are very good to us.
Wife and I have been married 30 years now and the restaurant we’ve been to more than any other is Red Robin.
My dad implemented a sort of “If the business is doing well” strategy at our auto shop in metro Detroit. If it makes over 20k in a week (which it’s only done a couple times) He’ll give everyone a little bonus.
Strong brand recognition, great food and atmosphere, hit-and-miss service. The last time I ate there the service was so bad I spoke to the manager about it. I haven't been back since.
You should do one on Hertz Rent a Car. It would be an interesting subject. They've been around for 100 years.
I have fond memories of eating at Red Robin from when I was fairly young. I've never been back though. I do remember them having a decent arcade for a burger spot and I think that actually stands out more in my memory than if the food was any good. i do remember the bottomless fries as a plus
I had a good experience working for them. Back in like 04 I opened a location in Phoenix and we were in fire. Made good money serving there. I worked there for 3 years and everyone else was there forever too. I became a chef, but I learned alot about good management at my store anyway.
I love Red Robin. The quality of their burgers and fries in particular are outstanding and I’ve always had great service there. My only issues are that it gets overcrowded easily and at peak times, sometimes you have to wait an hour or more to get seated. Also the noise level is sometimes intolerable.
The other thing I think you forgot to mention about why Red Robin hasn’t done as well lately is just the simple fact that people aren’t going out to eat as much as they used to. Not just Red Robin but many other sit-down restaurant chains have been losing revenue and customers simply because of the expense (in some cases restaurants keeping the same price for dishes but shrinking the meal proportions), healthier available options (including home-delivery meal kits), consumer wants and trends (especially the younger folks), and other similar reasons. I think Red Robin though is in a better position than chains like Applebee’s, Chili’s, Ruby Tuesdays, Hooters, and others to adapt and still be profitable, but I think they’re going to struggle for some time before things get better.
I've been going to RR for years, it has usually been a positive experience for me. How about a video about Fudruckers?
As far as burger chains go, RR is my favorite. Closest one is 150 miles away, but it's still my favorite.
The bottomless fries and drinks are a huge plus for why you should go! They also have consistent quality versus other "gourmet" and upscale burger places; it also doesn't hurt that they have a fun/unique environment to the restaurants too.
I really can’t explain why your voice and narrative style is so comforting. You also do great work. Props!
Red Robin is honestly my favorite place to get a burger- even over the Ma and Pop store we have in town. The staff at Red is always really friendly, and they do treat you as you'd hope to be treated.
The decor is classic too- it just gives off such an exciting vibe that gets me ready to Eat.
And that's without going into their milkshakes, which are apparently sent directly from heaven. All of their food just tastes like a holiday. It's a shame the one near me is closing down...
I love Red Robin. First time I went there was when me and my parents visited Cincinnati, OH, which is two hours from me. My dad had to use the bathroom and got off the freeway. We ended up at a restaurant/bar called Red Robin. We hadn't heard of it before, and went in. My first burger there was the Banzai burger. After that, I hoped they would open a location closer to Columbus. That was in 2003. The next year, they opened a Red Robin in Hilliard. I've been going there at least a few times a month ever since.
I like how I’ve been watching this channel since day 1 but he’s always been big.
Well, I wasn't around since day 1 but I was around when he had like 20 vids. Now that I think about it, it's quite amazing how far he's come from such humble beginnings.
Damn haven’t been to red robin in like 10 years
Not missing anything. I've been like twice in 10 years. The reason they get away with endless fries is because the server hardly ever shows up.
The reason I’ll always go back is pure nostalgia. The burgers aren’t bad about 90% of the time, and that’s good enough for me. Remembering all the fun I had here is worth the price tag.
No matter what I love red Robin. It is a burger haven. And I'll have to say we have a donatos at the one on Rome hilliard rd. The donatos pizza at red Robin, is so much better than going to a donatos stand alone shop. Red Robin does perfect to perfection. Yum.!!! 😊
The Red Robin by my house is always amazing it’s my favorite restaurant, their burgers are light years better then anything Applebee’s has
I live close near one luckily. And still is my favorite to eat at. Oh and Chili’s is around that area too
Red Robin has always been one of my favorites. It’s sad what happened to Snyder. I hope Red Robin can survive this because I sure do love their bottomless french fries. 🤔🤔🤔🙁🤞🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗🤗
I like Red Robin. I love all the stuff you can put on their burgers, the garlic fries, and the drinks.
I love Red Robin - they're my favourite premium buger restaurant. That said it's been a while since I ate at one, even pre-covid, but I'd definitely eat there for lunch or if I didn't want a meal at a full restaurant. I used to work straight across the road from one, and so it was handy for a meal if I had been working late; but I don't work there anymore and rarely go to that location.
Does anyone else ever look up the closest locations of the store/restaurant Company Man is talking about after the video?
I went to Red Robin several years ago. The food was kind of disappointing in my opinion for the price. I haven't gone back since.
Their ingredient quality when down, and if the kitchen doesn't know what to do with them its game over.
No wonder no one has gotten an experience good enough to take it overseas. "BIG" is quite an exaggeration for this food chain. I think CM is so fond of the restaurant that he didn't want to put it in the "rise and fall" category.
"REEEED ROBIN , YUM "
My first job out of high school was as a dishwasher at the still there Vancouver (WA) Mall location. I worked there from 1991-1993 and was promoted to line cook. Wasn't too bad for a first real job.
The fact that you brought up Waking up to Red Red Robin.. my Grandma used to sing me that to wake up. Haunting
They're struggling probably because every metro area in the entire country is going through this organic/gourmet phase, particularly with the crowd pleasers of Pizza and Burgers. So now that there is a ton more competition in town, a lot of them locally owned, I think the chains that have traditionally dominated this area will really need to step up their game.
If by "phase" you mean people have higher standards for food now, then yeah.
@@thecianinator Nah it means hipsters willing to pay 5x more for basic foods served in a pretentious way which is usually only okay at best compared to a greasy wooden spoon, hole in the wall type place with amazing burgers.
Snyder was a good man and great businessman who made a mistake. He should not be judged on the SEC complaint alone. What he did to revitalize the chain was amazing.
Next do a video on McDonald's buys Buffalo Wild Wings?
I haven’t been to Red Robin in YEARS and now I’m craving it
I’ve always enjoyed my visits to RR, great burgers and awesome ambiance. 👍🍔
One of the best burger places in the us. I used to live coincidentally just a couple blocks from the original location in Seattle... And I actually used to eat there a couple times a month, DESPITE hating the atmosphere at that original location.
They kept the original "pub" mostly in tact, which is fine because it has a nice view of the waterway between lake Union and lake Washington... but as they expanded into being "Red Robin" they built up more modern walls around the pub... So it has this really ugly mishmash of decor inside.
But the food is great imo. And the service is almost always tops.
Personally, I super love Red Robin's. Love their fries, and their burgers, and their drinks. Blue ribbon burger is great.
My biggest complaint is that they used to do lettuce wrapped burgers, which is AMAZING!!! Crip crunchy outside that has a warm gooey center 🤤 but they changed how they do them and now they suck.

I've ate there about 3 times, I found then overpriced and the burgers were just not that good, especially for the price.
My memories of Red Robin are hazy. In high school we used to get really high and go eat there. The bottomless fries were a godsend
Merci beaucoup pour l'histoire Red Robin ❤❤❤❤❤❤😊❤❤❤❤❤
Millions of blessings,

_That's how fast food works..._
Red Robin was always a bit too pricey for what they offer. Their burgers are ok, their not spectacular or anything and they take that "gourmet burgers" alias too seriously for overcharging their burgers.
Red Robin burgers are not any better than Chilis, TJI Fridays or Applebees burgers and yet are more expensive.
This is why as you mentioned more and more people are opting to go with their cheaper offerings.
But I wouldn't get a burger at any of those other locations anyway - there are other things on their menus that are better, and might attract me to those restaurants, but if I want a restaurant burger, and a half-decent beer, then I'd choose Red Robin. ..... The nearest Applebee's to me isn't great (well it _is_ an Applebee's!) but the beers available on-tap are _terrible_ - the owners don't seem to realise that the world has moved on in the past 10-12 years and offering Bud, Miller, Coors, and Sam Adams just doesn't cut it these days.
@@pulaski1 I definitely agree with you on the part about the outdated beer selection.
*_Damn. The company's so big I haven't even heard of it before._*
_it's success totally bypassed my ears._
You just haven't been living in the right place. This story is pretty zilch surprise to anyone that lives in Washington state. I worked at the Kennewick location when it opened, and I've met Mike Synder. Supposedly, my mother went to school with him and his brother at Eisenhower High, in Yakima.
It must be a regional thing because I've been familiar with the chain since I was a kid in southern California.
Never did understand the hyoe though, even in its hey day.
It's about $17 for a burger and they got rid of the wheat bun option and the $7.99 burger deal
Native Seattlelite, right here, who grew up going to this establishment. I remember being devastated when they did a menu overhaul a few years back, because they cut all these entree options, including a fantastic chicken parmesan. It's just not the same anymore, unfortunately...
I love red robin, it's my favorite sit down burger place. I hope they recover, of the quick casual dining restaurants, it's easily the best.
Killer: Red robin!
Victim: Yum!
*SCREAMING*
I have very fond memories of going to Red Robin as a kid. I became a vegan 10 years ago and over those 10 years, Red Robin has incorporated vegan options into their menu so I go there occasionally now. While I like their vegan burger options, I love their bottomless steak fries and bottomless freckled lemonade.
this place gets most of my money. i love their food and their bottomless rooter floats as well!
That Red Robin at the end has 420 as the address. That's pretty nifty
@@OhighOSkater NICE bro what part? I grew up in Ohio.. Lived in Mayfled Hts a couple years, raised my family in Chesterland. Are you from the Cleveland area?
@@OhighOSkater Went to your channel. Athens I would assume, not to far.
Jeffery Williams Yes sir. Down in southeastern Ohio. It’s pretty cool to see another Ohioan here. Nice to meet you!
I never tried Red Robin before , is it really that good , would you guys recommend?
I'd definitely try it once even though I hardly do there because of the price.
I like them, their burgers are great and I can’t say no to bottomless root beer floats for like $5
Nathaniel Foga I’d recommend it. And if you’re looking to save some money, look at the tavern burgers. They cost less, usually around $7, and are just as good. Also, if you opt to pay the extra $1.50 for garlic Parmesan fries with your meal, those are also bottomless!
Charsept Have you ever tried the tavern burgers there? They’re cheaper (between that $6-$10 range) and are just as good. It’s the burger menu I usually look at when I go with friends or my brother since I try to save a little money here and there.
It's pretty good and pretty fun, it's not gonna be the best burger you've had in your life but it's a nice environment and I love the bottomless fries
Red robin is the shiznit!! I just ate there for my anniversary..they aint going nowhere!
Would be cool to see you do one on Fud-Ruckers. I used love that place.
The one I go to about biweekly has a nice cozy atmosphere and since I go fairly often, the staff already knows what I want to order and even bring me a basket of fries and a Coke as i sit down. Hands down, my favorite go to place to eat. Can't beat bottomless fries at those prices. And as mentioned, staff is awesome.
They do make some good steak fries. :P
I love that your personality shows in the videos. makes them feel more natural.
I remember going to the red Robin in the next city over when I was a kid, was across the plaza from the sears and circuit city.
When I was a kid my Jehovah's Witness parents would take me there on my birthday to not celebrate my birthday.
Ha I went to one once. Food was absolutely terrible. Never went back.
I went to one once that was brand new in a really nice area. Like maybe a week old. There were 8 hostesses, which was an immediate bad sign. We were seated and nobody came by for 5 minutes so we just fucking left. That was like 10 years ago and I've never given them anothet chance. Fuck shitty service.
Oh the luke warm burgers company. 👍
I go there for my birthday every couple years or so. Just such a fantastic experience every time.
You're excellent at what you do. While not a professional voice over artist, I find you more appealing than most of them.
Track Handicapper I never had an interest in the expansion or history of corporations but I have to say his professionalism and presentation makes this complicated topic much more appealing and straightforward
Seems like every other time I go to Red Robin I get bad service, but that doesn’t keep me from saying:
Red Robin YUMMMM
Interesting how a Batman character coincidentally had the same name
A red robin is a bird, the characters and the song that inpired the restaurant's name were named after the birds and the new Batman character added the "red" to make him apart from the other Robins.
What's interesting about it? Is not like Red Robin has a bat related thing on the menu or someone invlolved has the Wayne surname.
The real interesting coincidence is that at one point, a Japanese "bird" bought an American "bird".
You should do a video on Chik-Fil-Q and how they manage to continue their success despite much controversy they've experienced throughout the years.
DJ Trankilo their food is good, The service exceptional, and the prices reasonable. It's not rocket science. I wish Red Robin would realize this. They were great before their post IPO cost cutting ruined things.
@@automan25 I'm always iffy whenever a restaurant goes public. Same thing I felt when I realized Shake Shack is on the stock market.
Red Robin was my favorite place to go eat as a family growing up. Now, as a father, it is still our favorite place.
This was the time I took my white cougar here, the burgers was ok and the fries was overrated! Then we went to the movies to get a little cozier..
Never heard of them in my life...
Lol the video never says anything about them in multiple countries. Maybe they can open one in the UK. Beer and burgers should fit in very well. It may help with their profits.
The last thing, our family needs - is a nice relaxing song. Relaxing songs are for sleeping, not waking up here =D
I went to Red Robin once. After a ridiculously long wait time for a mostly empty restaurant (we were leaving just as the dinner rush was starting), I got a burger that was decidedly unimpressive for the price point. I never went back, despite it being only a block away from my workplace.
I always get Red Robin and Ruby Tuesday confused, but I’ve been to neither
What about *Fuddruckers* ? They're a good place to eat.
I had them over a decade ago and from what I remember they are good, although locations can be a bit sparse
As a long time customer of Red Robin, I think their food quality has declined significantly over the last few years. I still go once a year or so but nothing that would make me a regular customer right now.
My dad has been going to the one in Olympia, WA (about an hour away from Seattle) since it opened about 30 years ago. My family has gone for everyone's birthday. My parents 25 years ago stopped there after their wedding in the limo my mom still in her over the top 80's fever dream of a dress and my dad in his tux; the guests at the wedding ate all the food my dad had prepared and all the cake while they were taking pictures! They got food for themselves and the driver, lol. It's a nice family tradition. I think their food is fine and come on the FRIES are the bomb!
I’ve never been to one because there has never been one near where I live. But I have brand recognition from that simple jingle, so that says something.
DONT SUE ME: i live down the street from a Red Robin but i have never eaten at a single Red Robin
I have never heard about that company.
Red Robin are devil's. They have bottomless root beer floats and I can't have just one. 🤣
Why is the angry cat at 9:15 the best part in this video
Thank you very much for the song. It’s one of those songs that just makes you happy
Five Guys, In-n-out, Mighty Fine, Smash Burger, and Whataburger are all better.
In my first grade gym they would play that song on a loop and up until now I never realised they where a company.
Edit: i liked my own comment
Love Red Robin. It was often my first choice as a child to go out to for my birthday. Now the closest one is so far from me (almost 2 hours away) that I almost never get a chance to go. My FAVORITE thing there is their seasoned fries!
Red Robin has above-average burgers and I would go back again. Definitely better than the big fast food burger chains. But there are now dozens of great gourmet burger joints in my area, and only one Red Robin within an hour's drive.
can you make a show about the "Sizzler" Restaurant Chain
Never even tried it
Service and food is crap...I stopped taking my family here.
That's been my experience, too. Unfortunately, the last time I went there I experienced their worst server (she didn't serve me but another table by me) and she made about every mistake you could short of being deliberately rude. She was nice but utterly clueless!
As for the food? Okay, but very overpriced for what it was. You can get better burgers at The Cheesecake Factory but I just don't like spending $14-$18 for burgers! It just seems insane.
Shut up you get food at least and you are honestly the most spoiled person in this comment section

My local Red Robin used to be my restaurant of choice. I always called it my favorite restaurant. At one point, I think they changed around some of their ingredients and it just stopped tasting as good to me. especially the chicken and strawberry lemonade which is what used to be the main thing that would keep me always coming back for more.
I'm in Boston and have never even seen a Red Robin restaurant , but I sure want to go after watching this. Yum.
When I was a little kid, my mom would sing the exact part of the song that you highlighted to get me to wake up in the morning.
