- AFI were in Tampa for a show 3/16/10 and stopped by Fisher and Boy to talk about how Davey doesnt like to visit Germany, how Adam doesnt like Detroit and what songs they NEVER want to play again!
,,I will always love AFI but omg I wish Davey had'nt just dismissed all their older songs - thats so sad, He should treasure them.
I LOVE everything about Davey!!! I LOVE him in AFI, I LOVE him in BLAQK AUDIO....his gauges, his soft hair, his beautiful face, his gorgeous eyes, his sweet smile, his shades, his hands, his voice, his old and new look, his lips, his teeth, his movements, JUST EVERYTHING!! XD ....haha! (please don't hate me for posting this:)
dancing through Sunday is an amazing song... that's why. it kicks ass
Like he said, they've played it every night since 2002 which at the time was 8 years.
Come on Adam, downtown Detroit is fantastic and the crowds at shows are fantastic.

I can totally understand why they'd get sick of playing some songs. For any single fan, you probably only go to a show now and then, or maybe even just once, so you only see the songs played live a few times, but performing them over, and over, AND OVER every tour for years...yeah, I can see how they'd get tired of them. ;)
As someone who hails from Detroit... everything Adam says is true. lol

They've never really taken a break...they finish an album cycle and start another one. This is their actual first break in almost 21 years.

@blaqkpearl I see where he's coming from. It's less that he doesn't see what they've done for the band, but the message and frame of mind just are not where he's at anymore. Now, I don't know how old you are but myself being 23 I can say I'm in a totally different place than I was even 5 years ago. I don't think he's dismissing them, more so he's acknowledging that he's in a different place in his life now.
Well damn it all to hell Dancing through Sunday is like one of my faves and has like my fave guitar solo in it lol.
I'm a straight guy (not that matters) but I agree. I'm so glad I got a picture of Adam in my copy of decemberunderground.

I honestly wouldn't complain if they never played those 2 songs ever again... Must be boring after 7 years, and Davey doesn't even like screaming.
I love ya Davey, but I can't sympathize with you getting sick of playing certain songs when you take two-year breaks from touring between every album. That's more than enough time to get un-sick of all of them.
