    FNIRSI finally does it. I've been buying the FNIRSI items for a while now and they do what other Chinese companies don't. They make quality, innovative equipment in a quality case with a nice box and instructions at a great price. I will be buying these units for my bench and am always excited to see what they come out with. Great videos Sam.

      Hey Mike, I really liked this one, as I said, this will stick around my workbench for a whiles. The only thing missing is a case/bag to store it. But I will buy one of those cheap ones on AliExpress. Thanks for watching.

    Welcome!
    Very good overview video!
    I ordered such a welder (Banggood). Arrived yesterday. I've tried it and it's perfect. It also handled 0.2 mm thick nickel tape without any problems and it was not necessary to set it to maximum performance. Great device at a good price! I hope it will last.

      What settings do you use for 0.2mm pure nickel?

    Would it be able to weld to an aluminium case, liked those used for housing electronic devices? With so much more metal there'd be much faster heat conduction away from the weld spot.

      @TechCornerTV  5 місяців тому +1

      Hi, I'm going to trough my 5 cents here and say my opinion, I think it will. If you notice the batteries have a nice metal ending in the both sides and you are able to solder it here. Being alluminium and don't how it will behave in terms of material, but I think it should work. Don't have any here to test. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for your video. I think that it´s a good spot welder. Could you tell me what is the nickel thick you welded in video? Did you try with 0.25 mm nickel pure?

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  5 місяців тому

      Hello, yes it was pure and it had 0.10mm in thick. Hope that helped. Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for reviewing this. I’ve been looking for a portable spot welder and this unit is nearly perfect.
    But my only gripe is that I hope they can one day make a model that uses easily replaceable 18650 or 21700 lithium cells. From what I could find online, this model uses 2 flat pack lithium cells, which can be a bit of a hassle to replace. I also couldn’t see any easy way to open up the case to replace it. That’s unless there are screws hidden underneath the rubber feet. If it was also able to use an external power source such as a car battery as an option it would be perfect. Thanks as usual for your detailed reviews!!

      Hi, how have you been :) it's true what you said, but even so, you can find anything on AliExpress... regarding the screws, I loved the device and don't want to break mine trying to open, that's why I didn't do a teardown. Even so and for experience, you can probably just pull the side panels and "probably" will have a way of opening it. Thanks for watching.

      I highly doubt that will happen anytime soon, those lithium ion cells rated for such high current simply don't exist, it's not their main purpose. They would need a lot of them. With these type of devices, pouch cell lipos are still the only option. This is also why you don't see 18650s or 21700s in those jump starter packs.

    • @jozseflazok1075
      @jozseflazok1075 4 місяці тому +1

      This is so true! Currently, only the cell manufactured with LiPo technology can deliver such a large pulse current without damage. This is why only such cells are used in jump starters.

      @@sjoerd104 You made a really good point. I didn’t even think about that. Some power tool manufacturers are now starting to use pouch cells as well. Such as DeWalt’s Powerstack batteries.

    Hello. What material and thickness was the sheet you were welding? Was it pure nickel strp?

    Anybody know if you get a shock if you touch the metal you are welding? While welding? Seems kinda dangerous

      Hi, personally I will not test that 😁 you have to be carefull, the same as for example when you're working with 240v, it will hurt you if you're not carefull. Thanks for watching and sharing.

    How do I get in a menu wher it shows the actual firmware version please 🤔
    It's a shame that they don't saying what they have improved in the new firmware version.

    How many minutes does this device you advertise last as a spot welding device?
    Can it firmly weld a 0.2 mm thick pure nickel strip onto a 18650 battery?
    I would be grateful if you could test this information and share it with us.

    • @TechCornerTV
      @TechCornerTV  2 місяці тому

      Hi, I worked over two hours to record the video, true it was not sequential welding, but it barely changed the load of the battery, it is pretty big, it works as a power bank also. Regarding 0.20mm strip, I don't have it here now, ordered, but it has really a lot of power for a small device, I believe that in the test I welded two 0.15mm. Thanks for watching.

    • @hakan65256

      @@TechCornerTV Thanks for your answer. I bought this device from aliexpress and it just arrived. I tested it with a 0.2 mm pure nickel strip. I achieved excellent spot welding quality. I saw the value of 1120 mah on the screen of the device. The device can provide the technical values it promises. This device is 2 times more powerful than my battery spot machine, which weighs approximately 5 kilograms, which I made with a microwave oven transformer. This device, weighing 580 grams, is portable and has a power bank feature. I recommend it to people considering purchasing. 👍
