    What a great unit! I agree that framed windows are preferable. I always value practicality over appearance. I love the second full bath with an outdoor entry. I agree that cornering the toilet would have been a good idea to increase the legroom. It looks like there is a shallow tub at the bottom if you have babies or toddlers. I'd like to see the ladder to the loft account for bare feet. The round rungs can be uncomfortable or even a bit dangerous. Flat would be better than thin round rungs. I could figure something out to improve them, but shouldn't need to do so. I like the extra storage in the living area as opposed to the sofa you would prefer. If the whole family is watching tv together I would grab a bunk mattress and pillows to set up the kids on the floor. As the youngest, I was on the floor in our den at my dad's feet when we watched movies well into my teens. If the kids are small enough for laps I would love the cuddles. Bean bags could be stowed under the bed in the master bedroom too. Usually, the kids will want to use the bunkroom tv anyway, so I'd figure out something for family movie nights and keep the storage, but that's me. Usually, I consider a "televator" to be one more thing that can malfunction. In this case, I like that the tv can be stowed if I'm cooking something that may spit or splatter. I would even cut a piece of plexiglass to slip between the tv and stove while cooking (velcro may be needed) and just stow it in a corner somewhere when in use. I also like the larger control panel. I think it's great you can access things by phone, but I don't want to wait for software just to retract an awning. I prefer a full control panel whether it means I can or cannot access those controls elsewhere. Each button is labeled already which is even better! No need to make labels for each switch! The labels will wear over time, but so does everything. The extra cabinets in the master bedroom are great. I would sacrifice the top for access from the bathroom as towel storage. I like that the small nightstands don't wrap around over the bed. I can add a cup holder or small shelf myself if I want it. I don't want to bump my head when I rollover.

    Really useful literally 2bed 2 bath 5th wheel. Love the layout except there's only seating for 2 in the living area. I feel the whole point of a family friendly coach is to be able to have the family together. Really too bad. Thank you for showing all of us all the options out there.

    That is a real nice design. Only thing, I’d put a stainless steel divider between the TV and stove. I wouldn’t want any thing splashing on the TV from the stove.

    That bunkhouse is awesome and I love the second full bath. I'm not sure of the rationale, though, for making units that sleep so many people but have a completely non-functional living/dining area. It would make more sense to have a long U-shaped sofa with removable tabletops, and/or bar-style seating at the kitchen island.
    Great tour, thanks!

    Great walk through. I'm curious why some manufacturers still use round bars on the kids ladder to the bunk area. The little ones always have liked the flat steps. Just my opinion 🙂.

    Pros: great pantry, especially the slide out drawers. Like the External level controls. Like the sliding windows. We have these and love them. Wouldn’t want frameless windows again. The bunkhouse rocks! One of the best I’ve seen, especially with the second full bath.
    Suggestions: put the battery disconnect near the level controls and water bay. The water bay and level controls are where you always start and end the RV setup. Putting it on the other side means you have to go to both sides to shutdown or setup the RV. I have the hidden slide mechanism on the bedroom slide. The disadvantage is that you loose a lot of under bed storage. Family Living space is way too small. Like your idea of putting in a couch instead of counter top.
    Question: Wish these would have shocks on the axles! Why don’t manufacturers install shocks?

    • @BTBRVReviews
      @BTBRVReviews  4 роки тому

      Generally they've found that shocks do very little to actually control the weight of a fifth wheel. I do think they should add them as well though

    • @terryhaynes1596
      @terryhaynes1596 4 роки тому

      Big Truck Big RV All large vehicles have shocks to dampen the bounce. When you say control the weight, is this what you are referring too? If shocks aren’t effective, what would be your solution of choice for a budget of $1,500. I’ve seen numerous options on eTrailer. I have a 34’ AF that has an empty weight of 12.6 and GVWR of approximately 16K. It has shocks. Seems to work great to me. But what do I know? Thanks.

    My wife and I really enjoy your reviews. I have own both a motor home and a 5th wheel RV that had slide floor constructed with exposed wood on the lower side edges which allowed for water damage when the slide is extended during a rain storm. Some manufacturers also use that woven material as a water barrier, which is very prone to fail as well. As you review the exterior, and show a view of the rack & pinion mechanism, would love to see the construction quality of the slide. If you expose the manufacturers that do a poor job with this, you just may force them to improve on the quality. Once again, appreciate the reviews.

    Impressive that they put a 2nd full bath in this thing. The living/kitchen space is a bit weird in my opinion, but they clearly focused on giving you more storage. That is always a complaint with a lot of RV's; not enough storage places.

    Good Video👍 I get confused on the difference between extended season and four season, I am assuming that extended is good for spring, summer and fall but not winter. Another thing can you mention when you do these videos on different RV’s if they are rated full time living verses non full time. It seems like I get more correct information from you than the typical RV sales man

    The seating is fine like it is.

    The only thing they need to do to hit a home run is make it 42 feet long, add a garage behind bathroom for bikes and toys and honestly you will own the market. With the additional length possibly the love seat option as well. By with an additional garage for kayaks in vertical and bike racks on walls with room for toys or golf cart.

I would like to see the toilet and sink swapped around in the 2nd bathroom. If someone opens the 2nd door while one of the kids is using the toilet, it may ruin the poor kido's camping trip!

    ...but I also want the outside bunkhouse deck area and the regular style bunkhouse combo...bed comes down for ceiling/ extra seating areas for tv watching or having a meal. The price is a definite thumbs up.

    Wait, so, the entertainment center counter is *lower* than the stove with no separation between the 2 and no one designing thought that would be a problem?
    >
    That aside, is that loft ladder in the way of the bathroom door when it's deployed? It kinda looks like it is, but hard to tell
    Also not sure who thought it was a good idea to make the loft access for one of the lofts require going through the other when there was enough space to put a separate ladder...
    I guess it's to accommodate the bathroom floorplan, but some easy layout changes could make it work.
    ...though would have to design around inadequate outdoor kitchen they included with it.
