Ma'am, if we don't have large quantity of 'greens' at one time; can we keep adding it daily in the bag OR is there any other way in which we can store the 'greens' as fresh and they don't dry up, kindly guide. We are a nuclear family therefore kitchen waste quantity is minimum. Can we add peels of fruits, onion & garlic also ? Your method is simple, and I want to start composting which I've been delaying because of other laborious procedures. Kindly reply so I can start immediately. Thank you !

Yes you can add leaves on daily basis. Try to keep them moist. If you add kitchen waste then it's nutrition value change. Here I made nitrogen rich fertilizer which we can give in small plants too. Kitchen waste compost is better for flowering and fruiting plants. You can make it in separate container.

Madam aap ne to ek saath dal kar procedure start kar diya but jo kitchen waste to daily thoda thoda niklta hai. Hamara pot bharne me he ek mah lag jata hai uske baad mai usme mitti and dahi dal kar chhod deti hun. Kabhi kabhi gur bhi dalti hun. Kya pot bharne tak muhe do teen bar dahi ya gur dalna chahiye. Vaise meri khad achhi banti hai but piwder form me ahi hoti. Kya mai kuchh galat kar hun? Please reply karna

Maam white maggots r good or bad for compost? Actually last time when i tried to do kitchen compost, i faced a lots of white maggots problem. Ants killed live maggots..these things r disturbing to see. Is ur method of composting is maggots free? Or its impossible to make compost without maggots. I would b thankful if u clear my doubts. If you maintain the moisture of your compost pile these problems will not happen. Maggots are good for composting but they seem really disgusting. Use dry leaves to maintain moisture lable.
