Magnificent camera work and editing. As an internal-combustion junkie, I never thought I'd ever watch a 16-minute video dedicated to an electric train! 😊
Its 80k a piece to replace/ overhaul a motor on these trolleys. But a rebuilt motor with good handling and occasional oil and cleaning will outlive anyone who works on it.
Great video! I really love the overhead shots at the barn, really conveys the tight interurban rail history. I was here for the event, I can see myself in a few shots.
This was interesting, enjoyable and relaxing....a nice change from those pesky things with wings and propellers or jets. I have already passed it on to several people. Now if only you could get to the ocean and do for ships what you do for rail and aviation! Thanks for the post.
Here's more from Airailimages on the Yakima trolley operation: ua-cam.com/video/Ek5Tciv6wP4/v-deo.html
Isnt that something else!! We need to have more of those brought back into service to save our natural resources!!👍👍😀😀❗❗

Thanks!
Been in the cab of that unit. I was a motorman/conductor the summer of 1992.
Always loved watching the Yakima electrics find memories of Milwaukee Road's switch yard at Othello, too.
That was some very interesting camera shots both outside and inside the electric trains. Thanks for the video.
Glad you enjoyed it
Great video! I hope you can move on and rebuild the motors and keep No. 298 running strong.
