So much hate but this is pretty close to what COLLEGE kids eat in the US, fast and easy high sugar processed food. Plus lots of beer. Later on most people clean up the diet. I enjoyed the fun video.

I've lived in America my whole life and I have never seen or even heard of anyone who has eaten those Oreo o's
I remember earlier this year when they announced they were bringing them back. Everyone I know lost their minds. It was a popular cereal in the early 2000s, and was discontinued somewhere along the way.

My thoughts exactly. Let’s be real. The “American student “ would eat the same way back in England.

I'm a New Yorker and we don't all eat processed food all day lol we eat regular healthy food here as well. The s'mores were spot on...that's definitely a summer staple
It's not what every new Yorker eats, it's what she eats
It’s a pretty good representation of college food. In college a lot of people aren’t thinking of eating balanced diets. Just fast and easy. Sure from time to time we make home made meals but most of the time it’s not.
British s’mores are better cause we don’t use chocolate and graham crackers we use chocolate digestive biscuits and marshmallows and it’s amazing
Katy Morris I agree, never got why they use an actual piece of chocolate because surely it doesn’t melt properly so it stays a bit hard? Chocolate digestives all the way 😍

normal us meals!
breakfast- eggs and toast
lunch- sandwich
dinner- meat and sides
snacks- chips or fruit
ok thanks for all the likes💁🏼♀️
Right. I'm in the south, so Biscuit w/ eggs & grape jelly. Lunch veggies w/ hummus & mixed fresh fruit. Sometimes a sandwich. Dinner varies. A lot of times several veggies on the side. Sometimes meat & some type of bread. Dessert can be a cookie or an ice cream. I go several days w/ out meat & I also do a lot of days w/out meat & dairy due to deflaming.
If I'm deflaming I eat oatmeal w/ non dairy type milk, sprinkle maple & cinnamon. Sometimes blueberries & flax. Lunch I'll do a vegan type cauliflower mac n cheese. Dinner will be steamed rice & a bunch of veggies either indian flavored or sometime of asian. Lots of watery fruits as snacks & desserts. Eat as much oatmeal too in between as filler.
Sandwich for lunch???
Professor OfLife my family and i eat normal american meals. i don’t find many of the things i listed healthy....
Christal Kleva yes many people in my state eat sandwiches, soups, salads, or fast food for lunch
This is a very bad representation of what us in the USA eat on a daily basis. This should be renamed "what I eat in a day -UK healthy vs UK unhealthy"
It's not supposed to be a representation, it's a diet swap
@Riina jr Toto the uk is the most unhealthy country tho so if majority of the us is then all of the uk is ?

Just expensive items are “healthy”.

It would be better for a natural born American vs a Brit because this is just incorrect
The Terminator dog Leann eats worse than my 6 year old granddaughter! That disgusting sugary cereal and a soda for breakfast!!! And the frozen pizza just made me gag. Perhaps, teenagers still do that (not mine-they like making fresh pizza the rare times we have it). Overall, there were just so many more carbs than Americans eat.
It'd also be nice if they had a similar outlook on food. Hannah is by no means overly health-conscious but Leanna just eats sugar layer with some more sugar.

maybe the brit living in new york is just hooked on american junk food lol
i’m canadian and have no idea how accurate this is either way💁🏻♀️🇨🇦
Rilley Griffin honestly, it is not accurate at all. Leann’s food are similar to what elementary kids eat, minus having both chips and goldfish. They would definitely have some celery or carrots and a piece of fruit. Also, I am 45 and know absolutely no one who eats that Oreo cereal-yuck. Most adults I know, will grab a protein bar or yogurt and coffee for breakfast if they have any at all. Lunches are a large variety of salads. Day snacks are string cheese, a piece of fruit and water. Dinner is almost always a grilled or baked meat, a salad, some type of carb possibly (rice or roasted potatoes) and MAYBE a dinner roll: although everyone I know only has bread at holiday dinners. (Ok yes, garlic bread is served with some pastas, but not THREE pieces!) We do not routinely have desert after dinner. Deserts are also for holidays or a Sunday Supper. There is a reason we are no longer in the top 10 most obese countries. I truly wish foreigners would look up the current stats. I would NEVER allow my children or grandchildren to have that sugary processed cereal-yuck. Oatmeal or toast and a scrambled egg is more their style. They drink water or hot tea for breakfast. In my home, it’s also common to have hot tea before bed. I hope that helps! Cheers from the USA!
Yup. The first thing that is wrong with this is throughout the day, the "American" representative did not have a single fruit or vegetable. I don't know anyone who goes throughout the day without having fruits and veggies for at least one meal
It’s not. I’m in California and I eat mostly plant based 😅 this is unhealthy 🤢
She literally says right at the end when asked if she felt like she was back home, “a lot of it I don’t normally eat”
Rilley Griffin that rl is the truth there are so many healthy options here too u could eat just the Brit if u wanted to
Leanne would like to publicly announce, that contrary to popular belief, she does infact consume fruit & veg too. Obvs this video is an exaggerated version of a UK vs USA diet hahaha we thought that would come across a bit more obvious. No offence americans we luv u x

Idk how anyone eats like the “us students” I need something healthy and fresh
If I could I would eat like that, unfortunately I wasn't born with a motabolism
Bro nobody in the US with working tastebuds eats any of that. 🤢
I mean as a person with a full time job in america, most of what I have varies from combos, chips, goldfish, diet soda, salads, sandwiches, icecream, fruits and ready made meals. When you dont have time to cook due to working 36+hrs a week it is hard to sit down and spend time making a nourishing meal. Besides the point, labeling foods as good or bad is what fuels eating disorders. I should know. Im recovering from one.
I've met very very few people in the US who eat like that.. it's very rare to find people who will eat that much junk.
Alexia Roberts101 oh I feel you! But you’d get so sick of it, I notice when I crave “unhealthy” food and I give into the craving it leaves me feeling so sluggish and kinda makes me not like eating that particular food hahah
Her UK diet is not healthy as well... Yoghurt with sugar, granola with sugar, Nando's sauce with salt (and sugar probably), Bolognese jar - sugar again.
Worth to look the ingredients label as her food looks healthy but is actually processed food with high amount of sugar.
Kasia Kasperowicz still better than the Oreos cereal
Agree.
It's got some nutrients though. The other chicks diet would cause serious deficiencies
AGREED! people get fooled easily by appearances and probably because shes skinny,
So true! I put that breakfast in cronometer because I was curious about that breakfast and it turns out it had 44 grams of sugar, almost no vitamins nor minerals, it's basically almost 400 calories of an insuline spike meal. But I can see why it fools people into thinking it's healthy. the rest of the meals are not much better
As an American can confirm I've eaten almost this exact thing before. Although I don't usually mix cheeto puffs with goldfish, cheese is in most meals unless you're specifically trying not to eat it.
But, this diet was not accurate at all for a vast majority of Americans. Even if some of us have eaten this once in awhile, I know little to no people who eat this on a daily basis.
@@mars7612 you can't really show a diet with one day, maybe diet is the wrong word for the video

Hannah buys everything that is premade... even pineapple. Heres some advice... you can buy 1 whole pineapple for ~£1 and get about 5-6 days worth of pineapple. The hummus... get Tesco normal (organic tastes pretty much the same as Nados) and buy a large bottle of Nando sauce... it will last longer and also save sooo much money
This video is kinda healthy vs unhealthy but its interesting to see - I get my cereal from selfridges (oreo os) and they're a lot cheaper than elsewhere £6.50 for cheat days or for my roomates. *also that granola has so much processed sugar in*

That’s interesting. When I lived abroad, I found the UK to have the most heavy, oil laden, calorie dense, non healthy foods compared to many other countries I’ve been to in Europe. When I think of environments with tons of healthy food options, Britain doesn’t come to mind. Nevertheless, it’s 2019. We all adhere to various diets.
Britain is the like the usa of Europa, super unhealthy food.
Anywhere else in Europe we just don't eat that much and our meals are a lot healthier
I've lived in England, you just need to know where to shop but you can eat quite healthy there for cheap as well. Fruits and vegetables are readily affordable and local. Sure you can get stodgy pub fare but not every Brit eats unhealthily. I'm an american by the way. Just been to the UK enough to know how to eat well there.

Well I wouldn’t say no one in US eats like that I know I used to but because I was unhealthy and every now and again if I have no time I’ll try something quick but usually try to make it as healthy of an option I can now. The video just represents what each person eats personally which isn’t right. I am a born and raised Texan and I grew up with home cooked meals every day and almost no sugar in the house. When I moved out I did fall into the I can say whatever I want craze but when I gained a bit of weight and felt terrible I decided to eat healthy and home cooked meals for the most part.

She wasn't necessarily saying that she was eating a standard American diet, she was just eating what her friend would typically eat in a day.
What are some things you usually eat?
I'm a new Yorker as well, and uhm for breakfast everyone knows a BEC (bacon egg and cheese on a roll)is a staple if not just a bagel with cream cheese and or just coffee. Affordable and quick as hell, to each their own I guess?
Never heard of Oreo O’s in my life and I live in America
Same
I’m from the US (unlike this other girl)
Breakfast: plain oatmeal with blueberries, hemp seeds and unsweetened almond milk
Lunch: Smoothie with greens and protein powder
Dinner: BBQ tofu with steamed vegetables
Boom.
Oh damn girl if I ate like you I'd be lookin BOOM too!
Always like your videos before watching lol ❤🖤 Also, love the captions and transitions 😂😂
Haha thank you, that means a lot! X
As an American I had no idea Oreos had cereal? I'll have to try it? And I love all of the healthy meals!! I'll have to try them out with my meals!
US here .....ummm wtf nooo one i know eats like that on a daily here lmao
Why are all the comments hating on the video? This is was LEANNE eats, and she said that all her friends eat the cereal, not all of America
The video was really fun to watch but I couldn't stop thinking about the huye amount of plastic there was😵 like everything was packed in plastic😔
Blame the manufactures, not us folk who buy it.
@@LauraBidingCitizen but it's better to avoid plastic. If we don't buy it, they won't sell it. it's that easy
Greta Wenner Aw. You’re so naive about the world it’s rather sweet!
Laura Williams no she’s right. If you stop contributing to the manufacturing of plastic by not buying it then eventually there won’t be a demand for the it and it will stop being produced. I’m sure the only reason you are making fun of her is because you are embarrassed by yourself, your obscene use of plastic and lack of concern for our environment. People like you are the reason the condition of the environment is worsening. Embarrassing. That’s all I can say about you.
Bob Miggins Oh dear, oh dear! Why on earth would I be embarrassed? Do I know you in real life? I’m pretty sure I don’t know any Bob’s.
You have absolutely no idea what I do or don’t do for the environment, & I completely stand by what I said.
I live in an amazing recycling area, I know exactly where my plastic goes from the moment it’s picked up; I buy my fruits, veggies & as much as my groceries as I can financially afford plastic free.
However, there are STILL products in my life I’m unable to get / afford plastic free. Have you any idea what ‘plastic free’ even entails for some people financially?! Many people in this country aren’t ABLE to financially switch to plastic free lifestyles, nice one on trying to shame them you silly child.
Have you ever thought about those who are in poor health or are disabled, & have to take medication? Would you like to suggestion how their medication can be given plastic free when it comes in either recyclable plastic bottles, or strips of plastic?!
Nope. I’m not remotely embarrassed for being a realist. Nice try though.
Hans lunch looks sooo good!
Tbh id defo still to the british diet thanks😂😂
Not trying to hate on this. Just genuinely curious. Does anyone in uni actually eat what the 'British' uni diet is supposed to be according to this? Because I don't but I am curious as to whether I'm the odd one out and this diet is actually normal for students.
I love the coming up bits of your videos😍
As a German student who actually cooks fresh food most of the time I’m getting the chills about this.. do people actually eat like that??
No!
