About Me:
My name is Kevin Cook. I'm originally from Dallas, TX, but I've been living and traveling in Asia since 2013.
After graduating from university in 2011 and working a few unfulfilling jobs, I saved enough money to move to Asia and work as a teacher for a few years. That opportunity allowed me to travel around and experience new foods and cultures, and ignited a passion for blogging and making videos.
Now I travel full-time and make videos with the goal that I can encourage YOU to pursue your own dream of overseas traveling and living.
If you enjoy watching my videos, you can help me grow my channel by giving my videos a 'thumbs up', leaving a comment, sharing them, and subscribing!
Thank you :)

Thailand is one of the world's most exciting tourist attractions, sea, mountains, waterfalls, delicious food, cheap Thai people are cute. I want to live in Thailand, heaven, good people, good manners Thai sea. Thai massage is excellent. Kanchanaburi Buri Chiang Mai Waterfall is very beautiful weather 18- 25 degrees very much oxygen is Thailand is 1 from Japan.
This is the most realistic vlog on Bangkok, that I've seen so far.. Perfect , with the break down of everything and how you spend..THANK YOU BROS
You guys are living the life. I wish that I could travel. It will come in time though. For now I am enjoying watching people like yourselves traveling.
stop enjoying life at the expense of others exposures
You will travel Sulfen. You'll be a good traveler, I think.
Just start saving a little bit and do not touch it.
I started on a show string, cheaper than these guys, 26 years ago.
You can.
The most expensive part of traveling to Thailand is the round trip ticket.
Dude, traveling to Thailand is cheap. The most expensive part is the air ticket.
these $20 traveling videos are awesome, very creative itineraries for the low budget... can't wait to see more!
+etroxon Thank you so much for the support :)
Bring back the $20 travel videos! They’re so good
I lived in Bangkok for 3 years. There is another side of that city that would really make you fall in love with it.
You are hands down my most fave person on the internet - fave traveller - fave everything !!!
In Malaysia...that Roti is eaten with curry, either chicken or dhal curry. It's actually an Indian dish.
Enak,lah.Happy Hari Merdeka.
Three great meals, a private safe room to stay in, a little tourism, and all for less than a taxi ride in the US or Europe. Nice!
Hi just as an advise, traditionally in Thai culture you are not supposed to take the fork into your mouth, i.e. you should eat the som tam either with the spoon (and use the fork as support) or form a rice ball out of a small part of the sticky rice and eat it together with the salad (with your hands). Enjoy your trip ☺️ (just saw that this was a few years ago, hope you are still enjoying a trip somewhere right now 😂)
This video is awesomely helpful! Thank you for this! Keep the vids coming 😀
The average Thai works for 300 baht a day. 275 baht per person for a hostel room with zero amenities is NOT good! There are many other places to stay for the same price that come with a/c, fridge, tv and a real bed! Thai food is definitely cheap. Thank you for sharing.
Private room on Khaosan Road won't be any cheaper than what we got, though. Thanks for watching
MrEye4get, Tell as where to go, where are the real cheap places with a/c, fridge, tv and a good bed stay at the Khao San Road?
i'd probably stay somewhere outside of khao san, it can get pretty busy/conjested there. and since it's a tourist hot spot, prices are more expensive. I'd stay somewhere within 10-15 mins away and just walk or hop on a taxi, you would probably spend only a couple days there while exploring the rest of bangkok.
john james Jesus John you really need to get your medicine asap
Bossix84 lol yer bit harsh but very true
Inbreds!!!
The food looks delicious! Will be staying there in a few months (in Khao San road too, actually). Now I know which food to order! Thanks for the informative and entertaining video! Keep it up! :)
Thanks for watching the video, and for commenting :)
for most thai folks , 20 US Bucks we can live at least 1 week only for foods
but if you live in BKK , the cost of living is way more expensive than you are living
in suburbans and other provinces of thailand , if you live in BKK
1st you''ll have to pay for a ride like a BTS , MRT for at least 70-100 BHT a day
it depends on how far you work place is , foods outside the shopping malls and
street foods are cheaper than in the luxurious malls , you can pay 40-50 BHT a dish
thai coffee , bubble tea & other drinks are about 25-50 BHT a glass
the cheapest internet package is 10 bucks / month with no limit 1Mbps of speed
for some people who's wondering why thai cost of living is cheper that other countries
it's because our pays are cheaper , if you are working at thai McDonald's
you''ll get paid 1.5 US dollar an hour MAX while you can get paid at least 10 US bucks an hour
if you working in USA
hmm seems a little expensive dude those dishes usually costs like 30 baht each for us thais
Srib To Foreigners it isnt alot tbh even if they rip us off in Thai by a few Baht, 2.87 for first meal is cheap af something like that in us roughly 10$ maybe more
I though the price he paid for is good and reasonable. Even I'm Thai, I do pay that price too. May be it is just different vendor different price, that is all. ^_^
Srib I have a question to a real thai: Is weather like in the video usual in August or July? The internet has been telling me it's a lot wetter
Oscar Tanner weather is always like that. always super hot all throughout thr year! sometimes it kinda chilly but 25-28 celcius is prolly not cold for westerners. it can also be rainy but most likely burning hot
Srib i
Thank you for this. this is helping me a lot right now, i'll be going to Bangkok next week i'll gonna try doing $20 a day.
For your genre, gotta hand it to you guys, you rockin the boat, man.......and you make a excellent team, balancing each other out......a lotta good info - gr8 editing 2.....I know it's not very American, but in time "going deep" could be a good idea........:-)
Thanks for the support, man
Terrific: Xlnt edit, pacing, beautiful shots, you guys are Dandy Dudes, Thanks.
I was in Bangkok last year for a week and I remember my ass was on fire for a week too because all the food I ate was hot. There was one dish I ate at Pattaya, I forgot what it's called but I remember spending 15 minutes just removing red peppers from it.
Michelle Mae Simplicio omg! You make me laugh so hard 🤣🤣🤣
My ass would be on the toilet for 4 days, guaranteed.
I think there have national food, so it depend what you pick not all Thai food are spicy.
You’re definitely limited to only eating and transportation but in a city like Bangkok that sounds pretty nice.
Amazing isn't it. I was there last year and are planning a new year trip. The food is something else, stay safe guy's
His face at the end when he said yummy.. kills me..
thanks so much bro I'll be going there when I graduate in May for a graduation gift to myself can't wait

I've Ben too bangcock four times. And still want to always go back. The food was amazing. And at the time the girls were as well.

love all the food you ordered and it look sooo yummy. i will try to order all of them on my upcoming trip to bkk. great video and hilariously funny too :)
Bangkok is amazing! Although a few untruthful stall vendors on Kao San road accusing us of not paying the right amount then taking the product back and giving us half our money back
IKR my friend went to Bangkok, Thailand a couple years ago and stayed in a 5 star hotel for 14 bucks per person a night!
One of the coolest Non-boring vlog
The other guy was a crazy hippie ;) Naiiiceeee!
Just discovered your videos, thanks for showing me that travelling is possible even on a budget!
Looks like a lot of fun. Very beautiful women and extreme happy faces. My time will come to enjoy the sights and sounds of Thailand. Thank you for sharing.

I'm assuming you're from Greece? Sounds like a lovely place :)
Brilliant video guys having the time of your lives no doubt keep up the great work stay safe
It's worth the money spent in Thailand and the cost of living is very reasonable.
Welcome to thailand , Thank you very much for come to travel my country .We hope you will happy to this travel.
Thai food is so awesome and so cheap. We are definitely going to miss it!
Gai yang (rice and grilled chicken) is just 50B depends on places you visit
That dipping sauce for the gai yaang made my mouth water. 100B is a good deal.
I still like KSR, 26 years on.
Khatoey count; 1
Randomly stungun each-other! Funny though. Awesome video!
+Wize Bread not random. Planned meticulously for years, and finally executed with precision.

Been a while since I browsed travel channel
Wat Arun is the best from the top. Too bad it was closed. BKK street food can't be beat anywhere in the world IMHO. Nothing compares. :)
Great vid. Your buddy forgot to say "It's all about the crunch" when he ate the scorpion.
+Alfred Stimoli haha that's right
drinking is the biggest expense when travelliing thailand it can blow out your budget real quick! but food is very cheap and tastey. going back in 3 weeks! can't wait!
Love your videos. Bangkok is my favorite, because of music and ... your banana t-shirt. Chiang Mai the second one. Thank you ! Waiting for next video, enjoy it
+Pierre Chardon thanks for the love, Pierre!
You are the best vlogger on youtube.
Thanks Liam. Just started a new series here in the US. Come have a watch
i would be surprised that you drink so little during the day.... not that water is expensive but the heat....
Got hotel stays and plane tickets covered, exchange rate is worse now (30ish instead of 35ish) but I intend to eat as much as I can in the time I'm in Thailand. Let's see if u can stick to 20 per day (after hotel is 0.....I spent closer to 200 per day on hotel)
Oh damn that was an awesome video but my only question will be how did ya'll do your people watching? Like do you go to random pretty girls and ask for pics with them? Cos I would love to do that people watching
the sad thing is, i felt weird eating grilled chicken, papaya salad, pepper, and rice for breakfast all my life in America. now itz coool. i dont have a problem with it. but just thought i'd put that on here !
I love Singapore Malaysia and Thailand
Just out of curiosity what time of year did you visit? I just booked a trip for August and now I'm thinking that's a big mistake
Cool video. Love the street reggae montage!
+AJ Belanger thank you
bangkok, thailand is where my mom side of the family is from and i’m lao half thai
lol i'm a scorpio and so why i was on Khaosan road for my birthday I felt pretty obligated to eat one of those scorpions....his face says it all hahaha
wtf I just purchased the same shirt from Bangkok
Welcome to the club
apparently everbody got that banana shirt i saw it already many times in south east asia
yep same here i was like wtf how did i not notice when i was buying it that it was in this video. it shouldve clicked in my head
me too!
Nice movie!
But I am sure, in Thailand you can have a better snack than a scorpion.
Have you ever tried a durian with coconut milk and sticky rice? You can also taste a durian ice cream, it doesn't have a strong aroma than the real durian. :-)
Great Video !
Great guide, love Bangkok's street food! Especially Papaya salad!
Thank you
your friend always looks hyped up 24/7
Love your videos man
Good stuff Kevin. I miss Thailand!
Thanks Ross!!
I am going there in two more months can't wait to try all good foods.
that picture is everywhere
I told you! That graffiti artist works all over Asia
the road to Bali is very beautiful and the food was also delicious
There is not much chillin your somtam. Usually thai breakfast is dim sum and salapau. also soup and of course chicken with rice.. but somtam? usually somtam with palad... (rottenfish)
Olly Lama It depends on Thai people which they wanna have for breakfast. Sometimes, we have congee, hot soy milk or sticky rice with grilled pork. We don’t have really national breakfast such western :)
Gosh, Bangkok looks like a rad place to visit.
Great video. Two thumbs up.👍👍. Awesome banana tee shirt. Lmao!
I like your channel content n context
Many places around the world have great weather, cheap and delicious food and beautiful women!
Getting there is the biggest challenge (when it comes to minimizing expense)
That's right. Buses are the cheapest way to go, but man are they uncomfortable after about hour 8
hey if you are travellig then howabout bringing your own plate and cup..easily washed out as we all know plastic doesnt biodegrade very well.. thankyoou
you guys deserve more views on youtube
+Potatobanana that's really nice of you to say :)
You making me miss Thai food so much I am not Thai but Thai food amazing g
Nice. Exploring Thailand with Trippie Redd
I thought everybody knows the food is cheap...but did you get a private bathroom at the hostel...a shared bathroom is the pits
I'm having a major foodgasm..... such amazing food.
7:40 crunch crunch city.
Great video. I love Thailand. I'm going next month and hope to move there soon!
Just added to my bucket list. OMG such beatiful women there, love to go and just people watch.
