and they said all of the great band name's were already taken!
I like this..the singer is unique..great bass..thanks very much!!!!...\m/
I like this. Has a very melodic doomy late 70's/early 80's NWOBHM feel but also gets in the influence of Swedish pioneers like Torch, Gotham City and Heavy Load and has the sum effect of sounding like a much less grandiose early incarnation of Candlemass.
Good album.
True to 80's sound and atmosphere.
Hail from Poland!
Great feelings!! Very intresting melodies!! I like this sound !! It' s a very good job !!!
Ol skool kickass metal❤😋
Glorious name.

With my still delayed Megadeth deep dive placed on the back-burner (due to most evil flu ever), I see no harm in simply lauding Sweden's latest kick-ass heavy metal export, this time a seasoned duo by quizzical name of Severe Overbite which, on first listen, brings to congested mind a meaty cross between old school Night Demon and early Ancient Empire. This is evident right out of the gate thanks to the guitar's dry, gritty tone harking towards that of classic Orange amplification, not to mention front man's tortured and nasal, yet heartfelt and resonating mild baritone, the stentorian but unassuming kind quickly leading to revered cult status worship.
At thirty-three all-too fleeting minutes, the Östersund pair's direct, no frills approach also brings to mind Australia's On My Command as well as Britain's Eliminator, both excellent acts worth seminal perusal one way or another. The bass and drums are compact and work-man like, supplying a linear but driving and engaging wall of sound for Jonas Öhlund to let rip homeward bound, tasty riffs which are as comforting and nostalgic as Gramma's apple pie. Their formula is tried and true, hitting many the sweet spot, with chivalrous, fist-pumping refrains, such as during groovily pounding opener "Another World" and cleverly rhymed "Flight Of The Knight".
Vocalist Håkan Mårtensson has an old World, shaky timbre in line with old time salts Richie Wise of Dust and Bobby Liebling of Pentagram. While most of the material resides in firm mid-tempo range, the slow but poignant space tale "Solar Eclipse" evokes stellar Night Demon sleeper hit (and main object of personal six-string fixation) "Stranger In The Room". A further slow-burn pressure cooker more or less adaptable to novice finger twitchers consists of atmospherically roving "Devil's Nest".
Each track merits its own little accolade; for slackness's sake, take my word they all rule. However, special mention of "Living In Poverty" is warranted considering how much the truthful lyrics resonate, especially with rampant inflation progressively squeezing addled checking accounts like lemons until scarcely pennies are left. Alongside Quebec's Meurtrier and Chilean Lucifer's Hammer's latest spawning next month, make sure to sample some Severe Overbite...and not only at the dentist!
The eighties rules!
A lot to chew on. I like it. What do we call this genre which seems to descend in a straight line from early Wishbone Ash? What bands would you put in it? I might suggest Wytch Hazel, Tanith, Pagan Alter, Saracen, Moon Chamber, Night, there are many others. Even B.O.C. at times.
Som legal! O vocal não é cansativo, embora não tenha potência. Mas é bom. Diferente. O bom da música é isso:as diferenças. Principalmente dentro do rock.
Perfect again album heavy ❤❤
A very good album all the way through, with some great melodic riffs, and intriguing lyrics. This borrows from NWOBHM, with a nod to Dokken, and maybe Axel Rudi Pell. I have been playing it over and over, and it sounds better each time. The vocals are understated, but they fit the songs. The Mountain is pretty awesome, Majestic even.
I was hoping this would be orthodontics-themed metal. Oh well... it's still good.
Lots of people are being harsh on the vocals. I agree there is room for improvement, but I think it could be fixed by singing an octave higher or putting in more diaphragm. Also, a their mixing is pretty dry and they don't sit well above the mix. The songs themselves are decent though.
Mic that kick just a bit lower, otherwise great sound and album 👍
Lol the name is so good
This is pretty good.... oh, Sweden... everything from Sweden is good lol
Next upload will be Angel Sword...
That singer...
Nice!!!! \m/

I dunno I like it
Wow, crazy name! 🤪
EXCELENTE!!!
Nice album, but the kick drum sounds a bit hmm.. let's say weird.
LET'S GO ! Funny
🤘👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹👹🤘
Интересно! Опять же на всех инструментах отыграл один чел. Спел, правда, другой. Кстати, вокал, местами, напомнил, старый Bonfire.
Me too
..... ,,,,,,,,, ......
Very weak vocals, they seem to have been recorded without any effort, recited in a small room at the back of the house....
The instrumental part is good, but the vocal... Dude, it's not indie, post-punk, or surf. Where's the power, the guttural sounds, screams, all the HEAVY metal shit? I like the tone of his voice, but it sounds like he tired af xD
Orthodontic metal... Interesting?
GET NEW SINGER PLEASE
Nice Manilla Road knockoff
@@georgerogers1166Well, these songs were written in the early to mid 80’s. (1982-1985) I can assure you that no one in Sweden had heard of Manilla Road by then. The first record to get a European release was Open The Gates. It was released in early 1985 if memory serves me right. Great album. However, this leads me to suspect that it is quite impossible to be MR “knockoffs” when there is no way they could have heard them before the songs were written. If I were you I would instead write that they are influenced by Heavy Load. That would probably be closer to the truth!

Super Songs!
The singer is 90% of this band at my opinion. Finally something new

NEW ? DIME DOZEN SINCE 1982
Most generic musical recording of 2024. Dumbest band name too.
this is an awesome bandname
I prefer Minor Underbite.
The singing is so without emotions that makes all the songs boring, even tho the musics are great, and the voice as well.
This shit sucks I'll stick to Judas Priest
