The concept of REtro Future was actually based on the 2008 film The Strangers where the main characters in the film were expecting a relaxing weekend at a family vacation home, but their stay turned out to be anything but peaceful as three masked torturers left the characters struggling for survival. HyunA, Hui & E'Dawn basically re-imaged those characters in their own way. If you notice at the beginning of the mv you see HyunA, Hui & E'Dawn just sitting in their car daydreaming pretty picking up where they left off in 365 So Fresh. Once they saw the 3 masked people walking up to the porch of the couple's home, they put themselves in their place as if they were the masked characters. Then they visited the family home. If you notice the couple look like they're living in the 50 eras where life back then was perceive to be very basic and boring, but a lot of the things in their home seemed more like they were living in another era that wasn't the 50s, more like late 80s or early 90s. So HyunA, Hui & E'Dawn basically rampaged their home, by showing up unannounced which was why the girl looked confused before she buzzed them in, which was stupid in the first place, because who would buzz in some guest you don't even know Lol? So once invited in HyunA, Hui & E'Dawn storm up the steps and start throwing a crazy party to liven up the couple's their already boring lives giving them a glimpse of the future in that era (80s/90s), in the movie Strangers however the 3 masked people actually attempted to kill the couple, but this wasn't the case in the mv, because this was the perception of HyunA, Hui & E'Dawn's imagination, instead of torturing the couple, they tormented the couple with crazy party antics, along with their friends.
