It's so much fun to watch domestic geese trying to fly and remembering their original instincts. Some fly better than others, but it is like watching "The Little Engine That Could" as they challenge their earth bound ways against their dreams of free flying like wild geese. Nice video.
It's cool for me too. I have 3 african geese that I trained to fly. My first used to get got by coyotes because they couldn't escape. Then I realized if they could fly then they could escape. So I trained them and now it's been 4 years and I haven't lost one.
Geese are the best! Very intelligent and social critters. Also so beautiful, friendly, lovable, goofy, hilarious... and great flyers! ! Love them to bits! Great slomo! They are indeed modern dinosaurs! Listen to the sounds at slowmotion :D
my Twinky could never fly so far! strangely, it is a breed of geese that are one if the few birds that can clear the Himalayans, while other birds end up trapped in their valleys!

Geese really got some muscle! It must take some serious force to get such a sturdy bird airborne like that.
