I'm in awe of this young woman, her physical grace and power, her resilience and courage and ability to love. It is so hard to fight the desire to hide in shame, and she does it again and again. She has put herself out there in a way that so few people ever do. I cried for her and for everyone who has ever struggled with feelings if inadequacy. I am inspired to pause before judging anyone by their appearance. I am inspired to overcome reflexive judgements about belonging.

This woman is what I mean when I say "I am a dancer". Everyone thinks "oh whatever, in tap you just stomp of the floor and in ballet you just do little twirls and other easy stuff". But in reality, every dancer can relate to this woman on some kind of way, plus sized or not. I am constantly worried that if I make a mistake while doing a performance, the whole world looks and laughs, that's what went through this poor girls head as well as mine. She's scared of being body shamed, I'm scared of messing up. But just like her, I push through it. That's what it means to be a dancer, over thinking gets you no where and this woman showed the world that being a dancer isn't easy.

I feel so connected to Lizzy in this way, I've been a dancer for 12 years (I'm 14) and I'm not the smallest in size and especially not as petite as my fellow dancers. I feel sometimes that the girls I dance with think that I'm too big or not a good dancer because I'm not small.
But I have more experience than all of them combined and I know that I can do a lot of things they can't. As long as you believe in yourself, who cares what others think.
Follow your dreams, never stop dancing!!!

Everybody should be loved no matter size, color, age, height, etc. You are all stronger than you think. I hope people understand that YOU are the only person who can control YOU. I love how this is relatable to alot of people. Unique isn't being on top or being the best, unique is being different. Lizzy inspires me so much everyday
I recently gained alot of weight because i was not even really able to walk or exercise due to some severe back injuries and because my medication i take for depression has a side affect of weight gain and ive just recently been given the all clear to dance again and lizzy inspired me to remember that even though i am over weight i can accomplish anything i set my mind to

As someone that gave up on dance because of bullying and even when I wanted to go back I never did because I new I was to tall. (I ended up going back as an adult) I hope Lizzy dreams huge dreams. If I was a kid/teen I would love to be taught by her because she get's people are different. If she creates a dance company then I hope they are full of all kinds of shapes and sizes. But most of all I hope she never stops dreaming and telling her story. She really is brilliant

My step-cousin was one of the haters. I was really angry at her **my step-cousin** and didn't have any communication with her for a really long time.
She was always obsessed with Dhar Mann's videos and also watched the one with Lizzy and Jordan. Believe it or not, she felt really ashamed of herself after she had watched it and knew the true reason why Lizzy was 'different'. She felt so ashamed that she went on gofundme and together we donated 50 dollars.
