Dr. Richard D. Stiff i wouldn't say it was stupidity but more of a mistake. he dealt with this mistake in the smartest way by not getting anyone out. hence, him being the smartest base runner atm. every player makes mistakes, the great players can take that back.
If the runner had been anyone except Jeremy Giambi I don’t know if Jeter would have been successful with that flip throw. Giambi looked like he was running with a piano on his back!
That Jeter play where he shuttles the ball to the catcher is still one of the most amazing plays I've ever seen, and I've been watching bball since the late 60's.
at 7:40 why was the batter called safe? Whats the specific rule here. Cause the catcher had ball, and touched 1st while the batter was off base, does he have to touch base AND tag the runner? does that only apply to first base?
No its not he is right handed so he can do that and what i mean by that is that the pitchers leg would have had to been going behind his other leg for that to be a balk so the move the pitcher made right there is completely legal
In the one clip Andrew McCutchen one the pirates tries to jump over JT Realmuto on the marlins and now they both play for my favorite team the Phillies
1:58 third baseman said “is your hand ok” love to see the sportsmanship
Okay the guy that throws left handed takes the cake! Holy cow that’s talent!!!
I cant even throw 20 feet left handed
That throw was incredible, but he’s a pitcher so...
@@williambrennan1658 I can't throw 3 left handed, and I don't even want to talk about my left hand accuracy
@RoadSodaKing Same :)
@RoadSodaKing same
I liked seeing that rundown from yesterday’s Brewers/Cubs game. Doesn’t get more recent than that.
cain is the smartest player in base running atm, he's done that like 3 times now
Same for the bunt by Harper
When Cain makes a run down you can hear the Benny Hill theme from your TV LoCain has a habit of running circles around Cubs players
That’s the second time the brewers have done that against the cubs
Dr. Richard D. Stiff i wouldn't say it was stupidity but more of a mistake. he dealt with this mistake in the smartest way by not getting anyone out. hence, him being the smartest base runner atm. every player makes mistakes, the great players can take that back.
Me: fans... wow the rarest sight to see
The amount of time Javy is in this video is incredible !!
Baseball games can be a bit slow, but Baseball Highlights are awesome!
4:02 holy crap does that count? That’s amazing
This is why baseball is awesome.
*Urshela joins the Yankees*
IT WAS SAID THAT YOU WOULD DESTROY THE SITH, NOT JOIN THEM!
Despite all the annoying ads from youtube this was one of the best baseball highlight videos Ive ever seen.
And multiple amazing base running plays by Baez and the announcers barely got excited
It’s cause their used to it
If the runner had been anyone except Jeremy Giambi I don’t know if Jeter would have been successful with that flip throw. Giambi looked like he was running with a piano on his back!
Mitchell Weiner I think you meant Jason. LOL 😂😂
He still would be he’s Derek freaking jester he can do anything
Jeter
Eric jeter was a great player
Yongsug Lee No. Jeremy Giambi is his brother who also briefly played in the majors
Some say that the play at 1:07 is the play that made the yankees pick up gio urshela
Do throwing the guy out at home to win the game
Yes
And Jake marisnick in 2017 at Yankee stadium
True
The way Colon closed the gap, didnt let anyone or thing through the hole, amazing muscle reflexes
It’s basically Anthony Rizzo and Javier Baez lol
Oh how I miss Teixeira! 😢 I am happy that the Yankees got Urshela! ♥️
Proud to be a cubs fan
Nobody charges bunts like Rizzo does. Hes 10 ft away by the time the bunt is down.
Baseball never stops surprising
Great video! A lot of these I haven't seen before.
Why does it seem that Javier Baez plays like the first pick in a Pickup Game!!? At times it seems he is on a different level.
that's not an illusion
@@bP-yr3po so your saying that he is on a different level?!
@@elvinfrets4462 he's the only thing that gets in his way. it's ridiculous.
0:36 VIC CARAPAZZA GOT A CALL RIGHT!!!???
Man cubs r so smart
Shoeless Joe Jackson belongs in the Baseball Hall of fame.
This video will have 1 million views!
This aged well
Good video homie keep it up
Are u drunk? Asking for a friend! Lol
That rizzo play legendary
The Velazquez left-handed throw is something unreal I throw like my sister with my left hand
At 0:56 he could have just tagged Third base to get him out because he caught the ball, and his foot left the bag before he caught it.
@Dailygamers oh I didn’t see it hit the ground, it did it so fast I couldn’t see it
Now that's what I call using your head. Very smart!!!
Harrison for some rizz wit base running
Still waiting on the "smart tricks", as most of these are great athletic plays. Not dissing the players, just think the title is misleading.
Ayy Lmao
Ah,,,, let’s call them smart athletic plays
I agree
9:03
Good point😎
The last clip is a smart one tbh, but you've probably only seen half the video right?
9:39 Murphy just re-wrote Murphy's Law!
Where's Joey Votto's heads-up play to save Homer Bailey's second no-hitter?
Josh Harrisons run downs were CRAZY
6:35 average crowd size at LAA
U should do craziest game endings
Harrison for President
1:33 that SNEAKY throw to first 😂😂😂I love baseball
I’ve seen that bunt by cano at 6:58 quite a few times but just realized his foot is out of the batters box. Shouldn’t he be called out?
I think so
According to rule 6.03 he hit the ball illegally, so yes he should've been called out
As far as I understand, if you are touching the chalk and the ball is in play you are in the batters box.
b P yeah I know you could be on the chalk. Maybe his heel was on it but just from the angle looks like his foot is out of the box completely
tom bryan you are so right
Best videos ever
Kid REALLY has his head in the game! I've seen 10-year olds picking flowers in the outfield.........
Wao cuantas jugadas maravillosas
Continue no words
Damn baseball players are some bad dudes
So many cubs highlights! I just want to say I’m a big fan
Báez too good
Rizzo on the bunt plays is underrated
Man, the goins and Cabrera plays are so beautiful to watch
it really is unbelievable how good these guys can play baseball
That happens when guys grow up at ball parks. My brothers and I did the same. We didn't go pro but we could have !!
Haven’t watched the rest yet but I better see some Derek Jeter in here especially the flip play
6:38 this is smart because.....? he threw it to the bag where the runner was going? crazy. 200 IQ.
That Jeter play where he shuttles the ball to the catcher is still one of the most amazing plays I've ever seen, and I've been watching bball since the late 60's.
Cap
@@sweatykid5234 of course you say cap
……..
Me: oh yay! Softball fall season starts in about a month!
UA-cam: you mean baseball?,, right..?
Pitch runner picked off at first...you had one job. Dang, pitcher get hit on throwing arm, then uses catching hand to thow a bullet!
2:43 *pancake has been achieved*
Can we take a minute to appreciate that beautiful bunt in the first clip?
No
Thats enough base ball for me. Back to a real sport.
Your the kind of guy who watches tennis.
@@p1xke729 nah im the kind of guy who watches something with more, not less contact.
Just a reminder that ad block is free and prevents UA-cam spamming ads at you plus denies them money.
Thats a asome play
at 7:40 why was the batter called safe? Whats the specific rule here. Cause the catcher had ball, and touched 1st while the batter was off base, does he have to touch base AND tag the runner? does that only apply to first base?
You have to tag the batter if he’s not forced to go to that base
@@affectedsnail7347 You are correct
Thanks for just calling it "smart tricks" instead of 1000+ IQ MOMENTS.
Like 79% of these are from the Cubs. And like 90% of those are either Rizzo or Baez, which I fully approve of 👍👍👍
Seems like the Cubs are in a lot of these clips
Another video, LET'S GO
Watching this on quarantine is fun...
Yay I was 7,100th like for once
I think that it is fielder interference at 1:50
Simmons didnt even get the ball and still ended up the best defender of that double play
I think this video should be named Smart Plays. Tricks doesn’t sound right for the video.
But it’s still a great video if you ask me
You can just tell this guy is a higher cubs fan from all the clips
at the end of every one of those plays im betting someone somewhere yelled. YEAH!!! LETS GO!!!
1:00 that is why you run through home plate
Who do you think are the best 3 baseball players all time in order
I saw it when it happened and I’ve seen it numerous times since. Giambi was safe.
It’s close, but I think we can all agree that it was absolutely criminal that he didn’t slide. If he slides, he beats the tag by a lot.
Mesum Moosavi I’ve always thought the same thing.
@@mesummoosavi2015 he def should have slid, 100%. But he was also safe.
Making a great play on a ball that bounces funny is not a "smart trick".
Smart enough to get the job done, so I'll call it a smart trick.
Yea this Channel has some weird ass titles. Almost seems like the owner doesn’t even speak English
@@chrispotter3190 ya, I don’t think “Amazing Perfect Throws” was written by an English speaker lol
I like how about all of these are the cubs
I love altuve’s stance at the end! It says fuck me and fuck you all in one shot!!
The bunt near the 7:00 mark should not have happened because his foot was outside of the batters box.
When did it become legal to run around the guy with the ball to score. What the heck are the base lines for ?
Most of the plays are hard to believe
At 1:42 that was a balk
No its not he is right handed so he can do that and what i mean by that is that the pitchers leg would have had to been going behind his other leg for that to be a balk so the move the pitcher made right there is completely legal
Bryce Harper's first hit was amazing that button down the line
*Bunt
Wow
Cubs are by far the smartest team in the league
At 1:13, that is a hell of a heads up move by the first baseman to get there!
Is this a cubs play montage or what?
Harrison was out of the base path and should’ve been called out
0:24 looks safe for me.
I like my guy Jenry Mejia made an apperence
🤩
why is it that in some clips the third basemen is missing?
5:30 that was a laser pitch
Sorry hate to break it to you so many of these plays is just baseball 101 or normal everyday plays
Hey
In the one clip Andrew McCutchen one the pirates tries to jump over JT Realmuto on the marlins and now they both play for my favorite team the Phillies
Man, my buddy Doug Bernier shows up on these videos way too much lol
It's only good if it works
