The reason why exo dint get much hype in those years is the same, internet social media thing became common in youngsters in those years. And exo dint have any promotions so it makes sense bcz many groups popular these days became viral bcz of such contents and being shared in abundance. I myself followed some groups bcz of their funny contents but exo amd shinee are the ones i got into bcz of their music.

Dont fight the feelings era as fans say was just a sudden phase. They dint even talk about it much. Not 1 music show. And the album has some really high quality music. i was a kdrama fan but my youtube insta got flooded with Bts n svt and some more famous groups these days bcz young fans are more active and they make edits etc. There was only one video with exo i saw on insta back then. I found exo in 2023 through a hate comment bcz i was too curious to know them so i searched and found some solo works. It blew my mind seeing their music serve and live stages are one of a kind.
I'm not good at explaining but in 18:12 Suho and Kai were in a shuriken battle and the one who laughs will be the loser. Suho was losing but in this round, he just randomly ate the shuriken which was unexpected so they burst out laughing. If you watch the whole clip it was really funny but without context, it's not.
