Glyn- thanks for sharing these in a way they are saved for the future. Everyone needs to know HOW IT ONCE WAS and maybe SOMEDAY we can get back to giving a good terrier the respect and importance it deserves.
It's real sad mate, people think terrier men to be cruel badger baiting killers these days. I used to love getting up early on the weekend and walking miles with my dogs and a couple of my mates, really miss those days.
Lucky old pip, so good of all those people to help. It would break my heart to lose my dog like that, I wouldn't be going back to work until I'd got him back.
Got this video somewhere on vhs in the attic , lovely to see it again , I’ve owned 2 Patterdales in my life one was from a hunt in the Lake District and the other i bought from Brian nuttall himself and that dog was the most loyal animal I’ve ever owned gutted me when she past on .
Know Alan Owen well. Used to take all the scrap meat from my dads butcher shop when I was a kid. Me and my brothers used to go out with him when we got older
Digging foxes in a quarry not very intellegent but hreat to see Lads and their dogs at work sadly this dying out amoung the young men all over the British isles
It's very sad mate, I used to love going out with a couple of mates and our dogs. Too many people think it's cruel these days, terrier men get a very unfair reputation.

GOD how I long for this kind of attitude in dog breeding nowadays, rather than coochie-coo furbaby rubbish.
No paper bred curs here , just team work and game dogs.
