I have been blessed to have met both gentlemen. I met Mr. Lord in Gelsenkirchen, Germany in 2002. It was just a meet and greet backstage. Then I met Mr. Dio in Copenhagen, Denmark in 2008. It was Ronnie James Dio who said to me as I made for the exit with the rest of the fans, "Hey John! Where are you going? You're backstage with Dio. You got somewhere else to be? Have a beer. Stay a while." I talked with him and the band until dawn. Both men were true gentlemen; classy, clever.
