First Generation Grad Student currently struggling with writing their first article for publication. Thank you so much for your content! There is so much I have learned from just watching 3 videos that I never managed to learn elsewhere, even in undergrad. Thank you thank you THANK YOU
@@SciGradCoach OMGGGG thank you for responding. I enjoyed seeing all your videos. As a person who has never done research I am just hoping to understand research writing and get better. However, I need to practice, and currently am not in classes so IDK how i will put what I learn in practice. Thank you again!
Such a good idea. I will add it to my list! A couple suggestions: 1. Submit pilot studies/preliminary results as communications instead of regular/research articles 2. Find the story in the data! If you have proper controls you can publish preliminary results as long as you are focusing on the story and not overselling the novelty/impact Hope this helps!
Hi! Sorry I didn't explain this well, but a figure outline is just your article's figures and tables with captions in the order you plan to present them.
You can look for journals that offer free publishing. I have published in these journals before. Or you can look for grants to publish or talk to your department to see if they will cover costs. If you are a student or postdoc, talk to your professor to see if they can use grant money to cover publishing costs.
I would start with this video: ua-cam.com/video/5YI8T4F6M90/v-deo.html And download the 30 day Research Jumpstart guide. It will help walk you through the steps to completing your first project! www.sciencegradschoolcoach.com/30day-research-guide
Couldn't we just get a link without being tricked into signing up for a mailing list? Is nothing just plain free anymore? The advice you gave is good, appreciate it but damn those cursed mailing list sign-ups, damn them all to hell!!! That's a document I'm gonna have to do without.
Your channel didn't give me trust because you put tens of affiliate links in the description. You are more likely to be an online marketer than a researcher or someone with experience in science. Thank you and good luck.
I am sorry that you seem to think affiliate links means that I am not to be trusted. Have you watched multiple of my videos before jumping to this conclusion? In the video you commented on, I literally did not even mention a single item that you have to pay for. If I was an only an online marketer, every video I made would be about something to make me money. Yes, I included affiliate links (most do not even work any more) to my equipment and software that I use to run my channel. If someone else is interested in starting a channel and wants to see what I use, this is simply to help them and allow them to me to receive some monetary compensation for my recommendation. This comment makes it clear that you have not watched my channel. The majority of my videos are about free tools for researchers. I could choose to primarily talk about paid tools that have affiliate programs, but I don't. In fact, I only talk about tools that at least have a free version for researchers. There is nothing wrong with creators to put affiliate links for items that they love in their description as long as they are disclosed. We make very little money from our content only after years of work. Having more ways to monetize our content gives us the ability to continue making content. This comment is essentially the same as saying to a Professor "Oh, you charge for tutoring. You must be just a marketer." Finally, do you think I just made up my PhD? You can literally see my published papers in the thumbnail and I share them in multiple of my other videos. If you even watched the video, you can tell that I know about research and science. You can choose to believe what you want about me; however, you will never find a creator you can trust if you assume any monetization of content is wrong. Would you spend tens of hours a week for years creating content for others for nothing?
no body compell you to trust on the content creator. my suggestions is sing out from the you tube, then delete the you tube app and switch of the phone. already your brain is switched off. in this world everything has a price , but the content creator is giving her time in order to help people for doing a Phd or paper publication and you are bringing trust and believe blame. how ridiculous.

Can we start writing research article while doing msc ?
Of course! Starting your research article is dependent on your progress in collecting publishable data not your education level!
Thanks for this very interesting video
I'm so glad you found it interesting!
Thank you Dr.

Can you give me sample of appropriate scientific article?
