  • Agitation Free, a seminal German band from the 1970s, is renowned for its pivotal role in the Krautrock scene, particularly within Berlin. Known for blending psychedelic rock with ambient and world music influences, their sound frequently incorporated Middle Eastern elements, setting them apart from their contemporaries. This band's innovative use of electronics and synthesizers, along with their improvisational and complex arrangements, made their live performances iconic.
Featured prominently in our third film of the Krautrock Trilogy, "Krautrock 3," Agitation Free epitomizes the experimental spirit of the Berlin scene. They were part of a broader cultural movement that sought to redefine rock music by experimenting with new soundscapes and production methods. Albums like "Malesch" and "2nd" underscore their unique approach and have left a lasting legacy in the world of avant-garde music, influencing a diverse range of artists and genres. Despite their initial short run, ending in 1975 with several reunions thereafter, Agitation Free's influence remains profound within the krautrock community and beyond.
Adele & Jose have produced five Romantic Warriors films on '70s Canterbury bands, Rock in Opposition, and two on Krautrock, spotlighting Düsseldorf, Cologne, and Munich. K3, their sixth film, concludes the Krautrock Trilogy, with a dedicated focus on the Berlin School of Music.
