To be honest we're not brave enough to tackle the spin bowling since last 3/4 years because we have played a lot of matches on rank turner in those years.We are going to the transition phase in test cricket first two examples Rahane and Pujara. Whoever come one day he will go but why are we not admiting these things? It's never happened visiting team scores more than hosting team in India in both innings. I am not worried after a series loss it's happened one day. I am worried a long term prospective that where is skill to tackle the spin bowling.

It's a mix of both absymal batting and timid approach in field setting, this was not a 156 pitch by any means , what were the causes ? 1. Collective batting failure of Gill , Kohli , Rohit ;they are not delivering in this series barring Kohli and Rohit in 2nd innings of Bengaluru 2. Timid approach in field setting,in test match you are setting deep point , long off, long on , even when new batter was coming the field was same, no intention of putting any sort of pressure 3. The most important: India is not being able to prevent collapse , from 408/3 to 462/10 ,from 122/2 to 160/7 this is not a good looking sign for India , you just can't lose wickets in a cluster , that's what happened in WTC final , in recent home series against England, and now against new zealand, batters need to apply themselves
Not balanced approach at all. Not every time aggressive way would work. The traditional way of spending time on the pitch is at the most importance at such tough batting surfaces. Moreover, players like pujara and rahane are the perfect epitome of handling such issues like they did in Bgt. There should be balance between youth and experience. And experience I mean not only of Virat and Rohit. There should be also one dependable person or player like pujara or so, who can manage batting collapses and play a crucial role of staying a long time on the pitch.
Even today's play when we started bowling , sundar was not given the ball even though he is by far the best invthis test.....we must play axar instead of Kohli....I am sure he will score more than Virat any day

If you look at Nz batting order specially latham, conway, rachin played very calmly and waiting for ball not going for big shots. Just maintaining 3 rr per over and very sensible batting with proper control that makes difference if you compare with Indian Batting Order. Moral of first and second test match is you have to play like test cricket with so much petience and sensible cricket.

To be honest we're not brave enough to tackle the spin bowling since last 3/4 years because we have played a lot of matches on rank turner in those years.We are going to the transition phase in test cricket first two examples Rahane and Pujara. Whoever come one day he will go but why are we not admiting these things?

I am not worried after a series loss it's happened one day. I am worried a long term prospective that where is skill to tackle the spin bowling.

It's a mix of both absymal batting and timid approach in field setting, this was not a 156 pitch by any means , what were the causes ?
1. Collective batting failure of Gill , Kohli , Rohit ;they are not delivering in this series barring Kohli and Rohit in 2nd innings of Bengaluru
2. Timid approach in field setting,in test match you are setting deep point , long off, long on , even when new batter was coming the field was same, no intention of putting any sort of pressure
3. The most important: India is not being able to prevent collapse , from 408/3 to 462/10 ,from 122/2 to 160/7 this is not a good looking sign for India , you just can't lose wickets in a cluster , that's what happened in WTC final , in recent home series against England, and now against new zealand, batters need to apply themselves
Not balanced approach at all.
Not every time aggressive way would work. The traditional way of spending time on the pitch is at the most importance at such tough batting surfaces.
Moreover, players like pujara and rahane are the perfect epitome of handling such issues like they did in Bgt. There should be balance between youth and experience. And experience I mean not only of Virat and Rohit. There should be also one dependable person or player like pujara or so, who can manage batting collapses and play a crucial role of staying a long time on the pitch.

If you look at Nz batting order specially latham, conway, rachin played very calmly and waiting for ball not going for big shots. Just maintaining 3 rr per over and very sensible batting with proper control that makes difference if you compare with Indian Batting Order. Moral of first and second test match is you have to play like test cricket with so much petience and sensible cricket.
