Hey, everyone! I'd forgotten to add the price of the 580 in the PCPP link. Obviously, it'd be ridiculous to pay $500 for a used one, and there are far better value cards to choose from based on our in-depth analysis of the GPU market uploaded a few weeks ago. My issue wasn't as much the price as it was the combination of components and said "justification"/misleading remarks in the description. Don't sell a PC like this. And don't defend an advertised "Gaming PC" with 128GB of RAM (unless you're Tavarish 😉).
Nice VId Greg I always Enjoy them. LOL LOL LOL The fact that you priced it all, and it wasn't that far off The Asking price and it was only Built approx. 3 months ago, Why in a Gaming Genie would anyone that even had the money to buy it do so as used, when you could spend the same money, Buy NEW and HAVE WARRANTY?
128GB of RAM?!?! OMG! I'm running an entire linux distro (Ubuntu 20.10 Desktop) loaded into 32 GB of RAM, and it's plenty... Why would you need 128GB for?
i don't think this was a gaming pc but most of editing pc in my opinion, its dumb after 16gb is ok but over 32gb is worthless and waste of money to buy for gaming, if this was around 1500 - 1800 usd would be ok-ish to buy it , if he had his research he should search again for the hardware price and cut 20% instant or more for every used part. i hope this situation with mining could be better after summer so I can upgrade my rig. its good that you explain to people who don't know or they can get scam by people who sell used parts like this fool.
It looks like he desperately needs money LOL!! He made us dumb@$$!!!!
He should have just advertised this as a "pc missing GPU" for $1600-2000. That's an all right deal.
The 8gb 580s are in high demand since they are still ethereum mining beasts. You can replace that with a near equivalent 290 or 290x for $200 or less.
He should buy a 16gb budget ram kit and swap that in, drop the price of the rig and sell the 128gb kit by itself on ebay. He could even split the 128gb kit into 64gb kits to attract more buyers.
Guess I was lucky when i got my 128gb kit for $700 I do have a Gskill royal set 16gb 3600 MHz cl 14 I could test out for gaming but having 128gb is so nice for my use case.

Yes, so much research he did. His time is very valuable. Obviously he forgot to google "how much RAM do you need in a gaming PC?" when he was doing said research!
& which way fans go so you have intake & Exhaust
128 in a gaming PC? Shit and I thought 32 in mine was overkill. I know it is but I had a stimmy and thought why not. But 128???? Lol

5 intake fans and no exhaust. What the heck is going on?
@@CaveyMoth I guess you could say his Fan Setup Totally Sucks 🙄

@@CaveyMoth oof
Forget his exaggerated ad, that PC has no exhaust.
The fans on the AIO are pushing the air towards the video card, plus there's no rear fan.
That's a sin.
Not really the 5 intake fans will push air in and the air will exit from the back the only problem is dust
@@matthewsmith2385 The air will not exit from the back of the case on it's own. Even with that, that's not goos ventilation practices, you want your air to distribute equally and to exit as fadt as possible and so on.
The PC had all intake fans lol, Yaaaay for passive exhaust!

@@sozzll I've got 6 intake and 3 exhaust in my Lian Li 011 Dynamic. . . I don't need to imagine 🤣😂
It’s not really that big of a deal, the pressure from the intake fans will push the air out of the back.
@@DevinRARok
@@singlsrvngfrnd Assuming you put the intake fans with a dust filter, then it's all good. If anything, you might see slightly less dust build up versus negative pressure.
You should post more of these reactions, It's always funny to see your reaction to the PC market right now.
Hell, I can spend weeks planing and building a PC. Balancing cost verses performance, checking compatability and also being veeeeeeery indecisive.
Love that you brought back this series. I loved these ones!
I would like to ask for more videos like this one. I wanna see ALL of those people, who are scalping prices, to be embarrassed and called out for their stupidity and greed. Gives them a huge back hand to the face. Now days, it's scalpers who irritate me the most, because of greed.
Yep. I know. I have a friend that has sold at least seven 3000 series GPUs on ebay. He's made thousands. I am ashamed to say that I did it once with a 3090 that I bought on credit card and sold for £500 profit, as I needed the money, because wife is out of work currently. I don't intend to do it again, as morally I wasn't comfortable and it stressed me out sending such a valuable item. Interestingly though it isn't gamers buying at these prices for the most part. It is miners. The miners are willing to pay the prices, as they can earn £10 per day with a 3080 and when mining becomes less profitable they can be sure to get a lot of money back by selling card on ebay.
Who is the stupid one tho?
The one who asks or the one who pays?
If nobody bought shit they wouldn't mark up.
Stop whining and either start selling yourself to afford one or stfu.
Hi friend! I agree! But I’m not scalper, this was my personal workstation machine which I sold for $700 less than I paid for the parts 4 months before selling the machine. :) Happy Sunday!
@@ceproductin It's both. But some people have no choice. Especially with many was schooling from home, working from home and etc. Some had to pay the price because till this day, prices still hasn't dropped. But people SHOULD still have a moral compass. People complain when the gov't, big companies raise their prices, but it's ok to retail the retail price? That's just straight up greed. Even during covid, there were still jobs, not the best, but there were. But people rather do this to their fellow man instead of the more responsible way
I love these videos, these were the first videos that led me to being a solid fan of you and your content. Thank you for reviving these.
I gotta say, that I recently built a PC with 5950X and 360 mm AIO in push-pull config, and it took me a lot longer than I expected. Just dealing with 20 fan cables (RGB+power, 3+3 for AIO, 3 at the front, 1 at the back) was a massive pain in the butt. I've built a ton of PC in my life, but not recently, infact that build is replacing my 8 years old 3930K HEDT PC. So - definitely not a couple of hours. Heck, just figuring out how to remove an internal side fan mounting bracket off 5000X case took a lot longer than it should've because the screws were so well hidden under pre-installed cable management brackets, and the user manual had NO directions in that regards whatsoever.
I also installed 128 GB of RAM because I use this PC for work, and you are right - that RAM cost me almost as much as the CPU (which I bought for MSRP). I had to use a 2070 Super video card from my previous PC because there is literally NO GPU in stock anywhere - and I'm not willing to buy parts through unofficial channels like ebay, because, like I said, I use this PC for my business so it's important that I know where to go should some of it ended up non-functional.
I don't get the narcissism of the people that make these listings. Don't they realize that being an A-hole is gonna make me NOT wanna buy their PC?
This is a line typically used in trading on Wall Street either in wirehouses or brokerages you name it
If an RX 580 build is "The best darn gaming PC" then I guess my RTX 3070 build is pure crap huh LOL.
Sold two 1080Ti to two lucky local buyers for $340 each. Godspeed!
What? I sold my 1080 ti for 800 a few months ago. The price rose since.
@@Dislob sold both in September 2020, before all the crazy price jump, but no regrets.
I remember about 12 years ago referring to pc building to a young mother as "like using Lego" and got told it can't be its too difficult.
I got really lucky I saw a Facebook ad for a build with a 1660 super for 500$ it had barebones cpu/motherboard and everything but I bought it and everything worked awesome! I ended up switching all the old parts except the 1tb ssd the Corsair power supply and the 1660 super and spent under 1000$ on my new parts! In total for the build I paid about 280 because I sold the cpu/motherboard for 220 from the old build so 280$ for a 1tb ssd a Corsair power supply and a 1660 super in today’s market i couldn’t be happier with my first build !!!

It's even worst when they're selling a system and forget to put the GPU brackets to the case lol
"shortage"
There's been a shortage of NZXT H1 cases. XP
Literally high end mobos have labels for you to wire.
You technically don't need an exhaust fan hot air will leave case through all the holes in the back
The guy hasn't even got custom sleeved extensions those stock cables are ugh! for 2500 I'd expect custom cables. or even Lian Li stremer plus kit.
This is a deal. Coupled along with the 4K monitor. You could even sell 2 of the Ram sticks yourself.
Building a PC is simple...until it doesn't boot...
Wouldn't even say the wiring is difficult it's just time consuming and annoying at times. I really hate connecting front panel stuff with the tiny connectors that are so fiddly but apart from that it's often as easy as clicking things in place to connect the right connector to the right pins.
No fans exhausting air in his build......
TBH, that could make a good homelab server rig, but then I wouldn't really care for the RGB and some other niceties so unless they were selling it for $2,000 it wouldn't be that appealing...
This is ridiculous....
That is how they get you, it's a big Scam!
lol you cant build this pc for under 3 k right now
In my country (Thailand) used RX580 8GB are around 500-600 USD now. And brand new PC with R5 and not so good spec with GTX1660Super cost 1500-1800 USD.
So,This PC is almost reasonable price in Thailand if it's price around 2000 USD.
I literally said in the video that the price wasn't bad. My issue isn't with the price. It's with the misleading remarks.
I hope the seller sees this video.
If he's honest about anything in the ad I believe it's the fact that he needs a laptop.
Love this kind of content. Please keep doing it!
How to sell a PC according to Greg:
1 blackbox includes CPU and GPU and does turn on
Solves problems arithmetically and plays games (probably)
Price - $500 bucks or something
My gain, your loss
i completely agree with everything said here. i mean, yes, "in the current market" its worth that. but not when you can go to a system integrator (not trying to shill so do your own research) and get a 3700x on a 240 aio, 32gb DDR4 (16gb is totally adequate for gaming anyone who says different is just trying to make you feel bad and justify it for themselves), x570 mobo, 1tb nvme 2tb hdd storage, rgb and a rtx 1660 6gb AND a warranty on all of it for under $2000 usd. yea you might have to wait for it, but i feel that its worth the wait to not have to pay for someone elses bad buying choices
The 128Gb ram is like the chavs round here who put obnoxious aftermarket exhausts on a ford focus.
What a garbage seller. I spent almost 2000 dollars on my PC 3 months ago (GPU was double the price) and I will never think of selling it. I will use it until it dies. PC would be the last thing that I would sell if I ever needed money.

After an ad like that I understand why they got a whole video dedicated just for them lol😂

I’m glad I got mine last year
Radeon rx580 sells out in seconds at best buy. I dont think they even stock them anymore.
He said that “it’s a literal monster”- not quite the correct use of literal lol
If nothing else, it’s a heat and dust monster considering every fan is set to intake.
Hours of labour yet the fans on the aio are the wrong way😬
Damn what a spaz.
Watching this video now and adding in the current cost of an rx 580 this PC was worth buying for $2500. HOWEVER, no one knew prices would get this bad.
Looking at graphics card or pc listing prices on eBay or Craigslist right now will give you a heart attack cause the prices are outrages
Tx Greg, cheered me up no end..
Those cheap phrases the seller uses are pathetic ... no other words for it. Beggining to feel sorry for that guy.
i would put a 128gb of ram into a gaming pc but i would also to be editing listen to music at the same time as editing and of course it be all in one system
has anyone noticed the dude has his corsair fans sucking air into the case through the aio and air being pulled in at the front?..... isn't that kind of bad temperature wise?
My loss your gain... Reminds me of the cash for gold south park episode "YOU RIKE TU FUK A ASIAN LADY"
5:33 i almost chocked on my food when i heard that. its really not. yeah shit is sold out but that doesn't put away small time sellers and local brick and mortars. hell just a week ago i got a rtx 3060 for £559 and they still had 4 in stock! (i wont share the location mainly because i would mostly doxx myself)and there is a very high probability you don't live near it.
Obviously he needed 128GB to open Chrome along side Minecraft.
I know the market is stuck on stupid right now, but that's just.....

I just bought a product key and it doesn’t work don’t buy them from that website
He probably had a RTX 3090 which he off load for a bomb, now trying to double rippoff another buyer for the remaining parts.
I bet originally it had a 2080ti or something (or possibly even an FE 30 series)
128 GIGS OF RAM!! DUDE!! Do you know how many tabs in Chrome you can have open??? 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Everything listed seemed actually worth it, the amount of ram is overkill but still seemed promising... until I read the graphics card.
That seller can sell half his ram and the 580, use that to buy a better GPU, and then sell his rig and would probably make more in profit
"My loss, your gain"

So, the series is back
I love this series!
Cable management is my friggin bane
lmao... why do people do this is beyond me.. i assemble pc's off and on over the years and half the time i just give them away when i find i have no purpose or at least reached end of my own life purpose, when that others would use. very rare ive sold semi modern or newerish parts for much cause just dont care what i get for them one time gave away a old pc with a new 7700 gpu i had not even 3 months cause i thought the gpu was better than what i had. rather someone else just make use of the device instead of doing this crap plus i feel good doing it so it outweighs the cost i lost anyhow.
this system likely had a higher end GPU that was sold separately and threw the RX580 in for this sale
Your hair looks fabulous
I wonder how many people he's getting, who know computers, slamming him around like a racquetball against the walls. flip side being those radeon sapphires are going for 600 or so right now if you look them up. So if he sold say..a 2070 super or even a 2080[and probably a white one to match the system.] and got say 1200-1500 or even more. he's already MADE his profit and he's not really gonna get any more out of this. especially if he's actually trust worthy enough to be trusted to SHIP IT. assuming he's willing to.
Beast in 2021, plays Crysis on medium full 720p.
I'm guessing he added the 128 gigs to future proof it🤷🤣🤣🤣.
128 GM RAM in an home computer? For your company, well, yea, sometimes probably useful, but, at a PC for your home? When is this much RAM needed, or even useful?
Wait a minute, that is a gen 4 nvme that cost over $300, North of $700 worth of ram, a $350 (at LEAST) monitor, a $700 cpu....as far as spending weeks in the build, I spend more time than that when I research a new build, and as far as charging for building it, that is EXACTLY what every oem on earth does. It's clearly not meant for diy people.
It might be a bit over-priced, but I don't think it deserves a 10 minute flame video.
That hair tho 😅😂
I wanna get a key from your sponsor but everyone says its a scam and i believe them since my first win 10 pro key just went out, and also you said 12$ but its somewhere around 15-17$
"Plus, let's not forget my many hours of labor building, testing, and cable managing this beast"
WTF? Dude, cable managing a pc build is maximum of 1 hour. What are you? Cable managing a car wiring?
Seriously.
And 3000 bucks price tag is not worth it, considering not all of the parts are big brand name
I would buy it, at something like $1,500. because the gpu would break me. but that is a used system. I'm not a gamer. I need 128gb of ram.
I see no exhaust fans!!!?
I am the guy who built and sold this PC, and I absolutely love this video!
Couple of quick notes;
1) I didn’t scalp my GFX card, I built the computer as a workstation, but gaming PC’s are more popular on the second hand market. I’m a marketer, folks.
2) The ad was meant to be funny. It worked, as I attracted tons of messages, some from people just to say my ad made them chuckle. I’m a marketer, ya’ll. Quirky copywriting is often of my job!
3) The shots of the upside down AIO fans were taken before I realized I installed them upside down and I flipped them before selling the machine :)
4) I spend nearly $3,200 after tax purchasing these parts and I gave the buyer all the receipts, boxes, manuals, and more. I also gave him a 4K monitor I didn’t need to sweeten the deal and an extra unopened keyboard I didn’t end up using that retails for a fair amount.
5) I sold it for full price and the buyer is loving his machine.
6) The reason I sold it is simple: I work from home and my wife is now pregnant with twins. In an effort to be more helpful during the day with our son, I’ve started using a laptop in the living room to watch my son while she rests. I made a bad call building the machine and sold for $700 less than I paid.
Greg, top notch video!! And thanks to the guy who sent me this link! I’m tickled pink!
Cheers!

I can’t stop laughing at this! I guess I AM a half decent quirky copywriter!!!! 🤣🤣🤣
But 128 gb is definitely overkill and the fact it costs more than the gpu is a big yikes in pc building
@@duc1755 I don’t disagree. I built for fun and I sold to someone who loves extravagance as well. On the GPU, I’m an entrepreneur, marketer, and music maker, didn’t have a need for a 1k card. :)
