I haven’t been to Gainesville, Florida is 37 years. It was good viewing its change through your lens. I was in Gainesville, 37 years ago, attending a concert on UF campus. I remember thinking how small and uniincorporated the city looked and felt back then. It has surely changed since then! I am actually considering visiting Gainesville upon visiting Florida in the future. Thanks for sharing this video with us: it’s well presented. 🙏🏽

NOT the same City and it's now very Congested with more Traffic and way more people. The UF area is above eye level now with 9-story student Housing Buildings. Nice Living quarters but so Big-City like around W. University & 13St area. You wouldn't Recognize the place.
Looking like a Big City, *YET same Small College Town Mentality with NO Economy or Big Opportunities* for Most. Just a College Town. No Family Activities, Nothing to do. Everyone leaves to JAX or ORL while others go to Saint Augustine for the Beach. *Everything is still dependent upon and based around UF* culture. When Students _(all ages 18yrs-50yrs+)_ are gone for Spring Break, Holiday, and Summer Vacation, business is down. No more Quiet.

@3:27 there is a person waiting to cross the road in what appears to be a school zone yet cars are not stopping. Is this legal in Gainesville?

Some people stand in front of those zones and never walk across for whatever reason. I don’t know the answer to that question and I’ve never received traffic law questions from my videos before.

that person is actually jaywalking, there is not a crosswalk there on that road.

@@acyka968 Florida doesn't have jay walking laws.

I put the age of Students because most people only think of Teenagers or early 20s when they hear Students, especially the Term 'College Students'; that is Not Real Life only Movies.
