@KayyWxx i saw in the user manual that it has the option to hookup in the water line. Maybe you give it a try and make a new video. Including the ice crusher and water dispenser, as well as the LCD information 😊
Dear Kayleigh-Ann W! Please help me to understand just a few things. (I am before purchasing and I am hesitating a bit) 1.) How many ice batches/cycles can be made from a full water tank? 2.) How many glasses (~200-220ml) can be filled up with ice which are made with a full water tank? a.) with crushed ice b.) with bullet shaped ice My hobby is making cocktails to my family and to my friends and I would like to make a good decision that this machine is able to serve 6-8 person per ice container. Thereafter I would let the machine work continuously to produce the necessary amount of ice.
You can have the machine on for as long as you like, just keep filling up the water. I’ll test it in the next couple of days and let you know. If I’m having friends round I batch make the ice and put it in the freezer. If you don’t use the ice in the machine it starts to melt. Hope that helps a little.
thanks for this review. Ive been contemplating this machine on and off.. having read some negative reviews on Amazon I was put off.. but your video has changed my mind. Are you still happy with this purchase over a year later?
Also - have you noticed any issues with the taste of the ice from this machine? I've read some reviews that say if the water is left in the machine for an hour or so, it tastes bad? This is one of the reasons we are looking for a dedicated ice maker, as our fridge/freezer produces ice with an odd taste..
Hi, we still use it. Had it a good couple of years now. We don’t use it as frequently as we used to but we haven’t had any problems with it. If you don’t flush it out then yeah the ice can taste a little off. But flush it through with warm water and it’s fine.
I had an ice making machine (a different model) which worked for many years, repaired it 6 months ago and recently broke again. I am looking to buy another but one problem with the old machine was that after a while lime deposits and even some slime was building up and the machine was very poor designed from this respect, it was impossible to take it apart to properly clean it. From what I can say, most share a similar design, including this one. How do you clean it ?
We literally run hot water through it and some zoflora. We make sure that we flush it many times before using it again. It's important to empty it when it's not in use, we forget sometimes.
I have the same one but it never switches off as the ice melts quicker than it makes it? I only got it yesterday does the ice fill more than the round basin that’s inside as mine does not ?
How loud is your fan? Can barely hear it in the video. We just got this and the fan on ours is very annoying, not very relaxing at all in the kitchen with it on.
@@KayyWxx Thank you! Would guess their production switch component like fans from year to year depending on availability… can hardly hear the ice dropping due to the fan so I think there is a difference.
@@Eagle6Airsoftyes it can dispense cold water in addition to dispensing small ice bullets, large bullets and crushed ice. No the water is not filtered by the machine. However if you manually pour in filtered water then you have the desired effect, or if your plumbed in water source is filtered or softened then you can get the effect.
@@KayyWxx so do you have to wait 10-15 min every time you want to use it (when you're for example having a party and people want some ice in their drinks every hour or so)?
@@amyenderink8531 you do for the first batch the next is quicker. I usually put it on before the party, get a load. Pop it in the freezer and then let it continuously make ice as the evening passes x
How long it takes to get the ice first round? I have the same device and i feel it take ages to get the first round of ice! I just wanna know if this is normal.
I am returning mine.. what a bad product. I cleaned it 2 times with lemon juice. 1 time with dish soap and sponges. 1 time with hot water and vinegar. Still after the water is about 1 hour in the tank. The ice and water tastes like plastic..
I think it’s more than 300 bags when you take into account electricity!
I have the same machine made by electriq.
Can answer some of the questions.
How do you clean, water tastes terrible in ours. It is linked directly to water with filter
Hello, I have the same issue. Could you please share how you fixed your problem?
Same here plastic taste

Been considering one of Klarstein's machines, but I'm looking for clear ice and that doesn't seem to be what this particular model is making.
Hi Ann, could you show how this machine crushed the ice? thanks a lot.

Hi! Does it make a lot of noise while making the ice? I hade one a little bit cheaper and it sounded really much

what happens when ice doesn’t get taken for a day or so
i understand the machine turns off
where does the melted ice go
Hi, is the machine made in Germany?
How loud is your fan? Can barely hear it in the video.
We just got this and the fan on ours is very annoying, not very relaxing at all in the kitchen with it on.
It’s not loud, it’s mostly noisy when the ice drops off and moves into the dispensing part.

Can you plumb water from the mains to it so you don’t have to refil it ?
And does it dispense cold water. And is that water filtered ?
You can fill manually (pour in via side door) or plumb in (at back)

hi..my klarstein make very small cubes..like 1/4 of regular...any sugestions ??
Even when you select the large function? Admittedly they aren’t as big as ice cube trays but I just use more and drink faster lol x

Yep, had it a couple of years and had no problems so far 😊

It does but only briefly, otherwise it starts to melt 😀

Great video only thing do you need to hook up a water line?
Nope, you fill it up at the side 🙂
