This video was recorded using some stuff from my own small collection of Iron Hands and Death Guard and this episode is an experiment more than anything else. Let me know what you think! I'm looking forward to reading your feedback and any constructive criticism you may have. Stay until the end of the video to watch a Behind the Scenes section of it all and some future plans. My apologies for the bad quality audio in that final section, I think something was going on with my mic. Stay tuned as there are more videos coming, the next ones all about Warhammer Fantasy/TW:Warhammer 3. Hope you are doing awesome my friends! Have a great weekend!
This is enjoyable to watch! I think it would look better if it were in stop-motion. That way the figures will look like they were moving as opposed to just standing still. But that’s just my opinion! Anyway, great job! 👍
To be fair, GWs way of writing lore is to huff paint until their regular writing interns start writing in overly complicated high gothic. The bar is so low that out of the hordes of books, the entire community always brings up the exact same few... Because those are the only good ones that are written in a way that everyone would like and not just fetish fantasy.
The Iron Hands deserves so more respect from the Warhammer community, and this is a great piece of love for the Sons of the Gorgon. The Iron Hands are a great addition to the Space Marines Mythos what with them being Cyborg Super-humans Demigods of war, and they contrast heavily against the Death Guard and their rotting bodies.
Using models and the tabletop to tell a story is always a plus given the nature of the hobby. Plus any story including the Iron Hands is always appreciated given that GW does not cover them much.
BRUH this is the best type of storytelling in 40k in terms of making a story out of an engagement. I immerse myself as a terminator Chaplain from one of my homebrew chapters in 40k lore and i'm definitely remembering the brave souls of Medusa's Will and the Forgebreakers next time i get to pulp some blightlord pussf*ckers. Truly inspiring.
Thank you brother! The idea is to bring a lot more of these style of episodes in a few weeks. I've been painting, assembling terrain and getting some lights for more than a year now. Can't wait to share more of this upcoming project soon enough!
Super fun! Would have loved for the last stand to end in orbital bombardment or something equally badass, but just getting romped by the Death Guard is pretty hardcore.
The way you used figures this time was intriguing, I personally liked it a lot. I think you are spot on when you say that some might not be fans of that kind of storytelling. I think it's because it isn't as stimulating as movement can be, ie. gameplay from total war. It was cool that you did 40k this time around tho, don't know whole lot about it so I'll definitely stick around. You also do a great job with the storytelling, its always fun and interesting listening these videos. Scrub did really great too. Cool dude :D
Please more of this, especially 40k lore. I've been getting into Warhammer lore for the last year or so. This channel has been the most fun to listen to. I genuinely get excited when I see new vids from this channel 👏
Oh man I absolutely cannot wait for more of this content! Battle reports are nice but a narrative story thrown behind with voice acting, sound effects and ambient music is a recipe for awesomeness
Always absolutely fantastic to see the Xth legion being represented. You did a magnificent job, and this is exactly what the sons pf the Gorgon require. Have a great day everyone! Thanks for the vid.
This looks really nice. I am honestly surprised this is your first video using minis. I can see it took a lot of work and if you ever decide to make a behind the scene of the whole thing I would love to see it. About the story itself, the narration was just awesome and while at first I felt that the Iron Hands and their philosophy would be more tested by necrons with their unkillable soldiers and their lack of the weakness of the flesh, but that would have been too cliche. Also, you can hardly pick your battles in the grim darkness of the 42 millennia. All in all this was great! I hope to see more 40k content from you, maybe some love to other great but overlooked chapters like the White Scars.
I think it was great! Truly a dark time for the emperor's chosen, but I say it was a pretty good report/narrative. I'm curious if people are willing to donate just to get any more of these so that you have more models.
@@TheBookofChoyer thanks! Been very off and on with making content past 2 years but really do intend to be making more consistently soon, this'll help!
That’s a unique way of storytelling. I enjoy any lore on death guard, as they don’t seem to have many stories, so would appreciate a story from their perspective. Good work and thanks
I really enjoyed this. The verbal story telling was so well done that I didn’t even have to watch the video itself to enjoy it while smokin a stogie. Well done!
I think this is a cool concept & would like to see more! It would be interesting if you could incorporate some stop-motion, or other animation, into this style of storytelling.
I would love to see more videos like this. It gives me so much inspiration for painting my own army and I really like just the narrative and tone set in this video.

@The Mad Philosopher. Man definitely give it a try! It can be time consuming and all but its fun and definitely worth it my friend!

@@kenguyii9108 great idea! Thanks a lot 👊🏼😃
Is there perhaps another narrative warhammer total war campaign again like your Arkhan the black campaign
This is brilliant please do more
You wrote more modern lore for the Iron Hands than GW did in the last 2 decades

iron hands got primaris too ? that's cool
@@enriquecabrera2137 can’t forget the ENFORCED TRADEMARK on it all

AH ! He said it ! He said the line !
Hahaha I tried to include some stuff from the actual tabletop game. I'm still only beginning to learn that though!
@@TheBookofChoyer it made me chuckle to get the reference, so I guess it's all good ^^
"THE FLESH IS WEAK! BUT DEEDS ENDURE!" The Iron Xth! my favourite chapter and Legion
Two chapters with reputations of unyielding toughness, this will be good.
Iron hands were my first chapter and first book in the 40k universe. Thank you brother

I've always loved the cyber space marines
You can perfectly make Kill Team battle reports of your usual high quality. Would be awesome.
That would be amazing!
that would really rival play on table top for quality
RIP Kogur.
The bestest boy.
The iron tenth have and always will be my favourite loyalist legion

There is more content of this kind coming relatively soon 😃👌🏻 thanks for your words!!

To be honest whenever I play warhammer I love to imagine the battle actually happening so this is amazing to me!
You had me at: "...known only as: The Rotting Head."
I would love to see more of the 40k universe from y'all
On that we are working on. Stay tuned 😌
now I like this. if this became a series I would watch this

This is awesome. Especially with the shots of the minis
Greetings from Germany
Why is it everyone BUT GW knows how bolters are supposed to sound like?
I want more of these story telling
Did not expect this but it is something welcome.
This was awesome, I love the authentic models creatively used as a visual aid. A great combination of elements.
Book of Choyer battle reports would be awesome!!!
Now this is how I want my battle reports to be presented to me. Narrating and voice acting and all. Truly lovely! Thank you.
I quiet enjoyed it! Hope you do another one that focuses on Da Orks!!!
CAUSE ORKS IZ DA BEST!
The scenes made by the figures give so much more than any animation! It's great!
I loved every second of this story! It just needs a part 2 and maybe even a part 3? Please keep at it, brother! For the *EMPEROR!!!*
I love stuff like this. Would love to see more short stories on the channel.
I loved this, perfect for a format where such little art exists
