You talked briefly about growth rings, can you compare the cottonwood yearly growth to other species in what you would call optimal growing conditions?
@benrogers354 do you want me to make a video about it? Or just tell you that around here cottonwood is probably out fastest grower. I didnt count but I would say the tree in the video was about 80- 100 years old
@@beardedloggerlife159 some trees that have been suppressed could be half the size of one that had about everything it wanted and be the same age. Seen it when we logged out here at our place.
Living in Alaska, we have tons of big cottonwood. I'm definitely no fan of them, they're a terrible mess, especially when they drop their seed pods everywhere!
