He also did work for marvel, I remember telling my friend about how certain scenes from Avengers: Infinity War sounded like The Mummy Returns score wise.

The Mummy returns and Van Helsing were great blockbusters that enhanced both my childhood and my adult life. Alan Silvestri's scores were masterful. He is only second to John Williams to me.
20 years later and this is still one of my favorite scores Alan Silvestri’s composition mixed with Egyptian culture is brilliant This is the movie that made me interested in this country’s history
Raiders of the lost Ark pushed me into History. The mummy towards Egyptology, and my own self love for ancient history into a masters and phd. All periods and aspects of history amazes me, from ancient to classics, empire to ww2, theres so much out there! History is a major passion of mine and i do attribute a lot of this to movie exposure that initially sparked my interest. Sure its not as thrilling as in movies but in its own way, magical.
I plan to learn Ancient Egyptian, and this movie has to do with why. The Scorpion King put stumbling blocks in my path though, with the pornographic scene I saw as a boy. Damn Hellywood. I won't let my daughter grow up with Pissney and Hellywood, teaching her to be a bitch.
Cristián Paris exactly. Once Tomb of the Dragon emperor came out, the franchise was laid to rest. And was replaced by a shitty reboot. Yuck. Oh well. Here’s hoping one day a Mummy Film can come up that can match the height the first 2 Fraser films can accomplish.
They took too long to make a sequel too by the time emperor came out in 2008 it been like 7 years since the mummy returns (2001) so it did lose the flash and interest by then.
Oh man, this is gold! My childhood, my type of Egypt, the perfect adventure, this has just molded me so much. It is simply my favorite movie, and this is one of my favorite soundtracks. This kind of feeling is unconsciously what I look for in movies and books.
+Azur Azuria The Mummy is my favorite film since its episode 1 and when its sequel came out it more amazing. I love history of ancient civilization and Egyptian is one of those :)
Wow the bass in this song... I remember when the movie got over and we left the auditorium, we could feel the vibrations while walking down the stairs right till we reached the ground floor! One of my best memories!!
I remember , when the movie ended I left my seat in theatre but was back hearing this sound track & stood still ..till the track complete. It was like a final touch of an artist on his work.
The first time i was in love Egypt was when i was watching THE TEN COMMANDMENTS, with my folks in REGAL, BOMBAY, INDIA. I was 10 then, now when i am 30 i still love Egypt. Would love to visit Egypt someday. I love the movie too, but this music is so refreshing, no doubt. It makes me wanna take a long drive, in Egypt. Love Egypt, and Israel Thanks for posting this track here on YT. Seriously, the fan base of genuine music lovers is slowly withering away. God Bless, GREETINGS FROM INDIA AND USA
This song is literally the best theme song I have ever heard since 2001, and I feel like I am going on an amazing adventure to Egypt and see the pyramids and so many other places in Egypt it is awesome and an amazing place to go to as an adventurer, and an explorer.
I just rewatched "Tomb of the Dragon Emperor" on TV today and saw at the very end it said- "So, more mummies were found in Peru." That was foreshadowing the fourth film which was going to be set in South America and have the next mummy be an Aztec ruler brought back from the dead. I felt like I was being reminded that the series was just not the same without Rachel Weiz as the lead actress and the third movie actually seemed like it did not really go with the two movies that had come out first.

MonsterHunter 66 One time I tried to get the "Cat in the Hat" movie soundtrack I looked at the track listing. Smash Mouths "Hang On" from the end credits wasn't on there too I was disappointed 😔
I loved this song as a kid even me,my mom and grand dad watched this movie before he died...it's good motivation to listen to for working out ,even writing stuff to be honest.
I can't comment enough on how this soundtrack reaches me... this movie, along with the lord of the rings, is as good as it gets in this world. Nothing could ever come close. i've tried it all, nothing compares to the beauty of watching these movies as a kid.

I'd still like to have seen the planned fourth film, set in Peru.
Why did they replace her with Maria Bello in the third film? Scheduling Conflicts?
Cristián Paris couldn’t agree more, the third Mummy sucked without her 🤷🏻♀️
Alan Silvestri's score in The Mummy Returns was the perfect follow-up to Jerry Goldsmith's majestic score in The Mummy!

Music, epic, atmospheric, captures all the glory and grandeur of ancient Egypt!
And modern too u should come to see the ancient, the modern and the future of Egypt 🌝
This end score by Allen Silvestri is so awesome.
Alan Silvestri took the original, and wisely added percussion and made it slightly more uptempo.
It took me awhile to realize but it is the Original Jerry Goldsmith Mummy Theme.
Love this, but his masterpiece will always be the "Back To The Future" fanfare.
No it isn't, it's Silvestri's Mummy Returns theme.
I'm afraid its all Silvestri, I.can’t hear any Goldsmith
