Because he knows that she will rule with him eventually and that time will change her mind about him. He has that conviction. And with her saying "I'll be waiting" just before she left (s1ep5) it makes so much more potent with the lyrics because you know that he doesn't get her. This just gives me so much hope. You added the pain of it, their chemistry with the rise of the music and how they are in each other's veins. It's a beautiful piece. And it hurts so much because I want this to be endgame.

For once, I would like an author to write a couple that just wants to watch the world burn. Instead of the whole good triumphs all, cause this couple really could watch the world burn then build it back from the ashes.
