Im trying to twin turbo my gen 4 ls 6.2l no vvt no afm. 3.43 gears.. awd. Cnc ported heads. Dual exhaust.. What camshaft would u recomend. Im going to 6oo to 700whp
I’m wanting to turbo my Cadillac nova. I cannot find the bbc distributor for cam position sensor and sleeve to use it. In the Cadillac. I amWanting to do crank position sensor for 8 coils due to recommendation from tuner. Can you link a option. Thanks
Thanks for explaining. I know your focus is 472/500 Cadillac, but your chalkboard talks are applicable to us guys with sbc and sbf engines. Please discuss "RV" or mild street cams for trucks or daily driven hot rods. How to choose a big enough cam and avoid too big cams that we think we want.
Be careful.. people get offended when you speak against the word of their deity. Especially when he says every cam is a turbo cam. I get flamed regularly when I tell people every cam is NOT a turbo cam.
This is great info. I’m trying to diagnose an overboost issue that has arisen since reinstalling my cams. Are your cam events expressed at .050 or .005?
So what is the difference between a turbo cam, a supercharger cam and a nitrous cam? is the cam different for a PD supercharger compared to a centrifugal?
One of the key differences between them is how they get overlap. While they all need a way to deal with a greater exhaust volume, a turbo might need negative overlap while a supercharger might need very little, or no overlap. It can get tricky.
@@V8Lenny Couldn't disagree more. NA cams use overlap to scavenge, depending on the pressure ratio overlap will lead to reversion with a turbo. This isn't an opinion.

@@contraption22 I only talk at .050
Awesome synopsis of the cam events in a n/a and turbo motors. Thanks. Subscribing is a no-brainer
This info is AAA

@@v8packard if your backpressure is too high you have wrong turbo. NA cam is a turbo cam.
