Curious to see if Meta responds but Im confused as to why the Oculus logo is still present on the touch controllers. What is Meta's intended use of the logo? Is the Meta logo meant to represent the company as a whole while the former Oculus logo is meant to represent their VR division? If so, does the Former Oculus logo apply only to Quest branded products or would it also apply to future headsets as well?
I think it’s meant to represent their VR division. Considering the Meta UA-cam channel has the Meta logo, I think their VR industry is being represented by the classic Oculus logo.
I’m new to VR so if I knew about this one before buying the 3, I’d get this one but I’m currently really happy with the quest 3 so I’ll probably wait for the next upgrade.
Hi meta, I have a question: do all quest games (including quest 2 & others such as online games) work on the quest pro? Please forgive my poor wording, I’m writing this comment at 03:15 in the morning and have not had much sleep recently.
I think the headstrap design is lacking.... no headband on top of the skull, no flexibility of the arm of the straps and it s not possible to replace de strap. So what should one do if one of the arm breaks? It s a 1500$ device, even more expensive in EU.... Hmmm, I will for sure wait for a long time until i upgrade from my Quest 2, i got very good quality accessories for it, and I think it can hold OK for another 2 years, regarding games & social VR. Of course the new AR capabilities of the Quest Pro are a big highlight. In my opinion it s a device for high end users/enthusiasts, creative, artists with deep pockets/and bussines users.
the original quest (which i have) had a very similar head strap and it’s never broken or anything. I also have the Quest 2 and it’s much worse imo (the strap, not the headset).
Once they have a CPU/GPU that is a bit more than 2 times the power, I will upgrade. Or if they find a better way to handle wireless pcvr with the latency being too much or artifacts
The adjustable strap doesn't need a headstrong above. The back of the strap is cupped to hold your head so there isn't any need for a strap over top. I removed my overhead strap because it was unnecessary.

I got my controllers a long time ago and one of my controllers won’t turn on in my headset and I tried unpairing and repairing but I could not get it to repair help pls

Heya! We know how confusing it could be to have your headset not power on, but show the battery life. We'll be more than happy to assist you with and get you into VR as soon as we can. Can you please try to reboot the headset with these steps? 1. Turn off your headset. 2. Hold the power and volume (-) button on your headset down simultaneously until the boot screen loads on your headset. 3. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Boot and press the power button. 4. Use the volume buttons on your headset to highlight Yes and press the power button. Please reach back out whenever you can with a update.

So by the looks of it you essentially need to have a smartphone that is capable of using this meta app which of course has a massive user and agreement just as Facebook does in which allows them to scan everything on your Wi-Fi and also scan all your key inputs so they know what you're searching at all times. This agreement also allows them to search other people's phones when they are within your wi-fi system or within the vicinity of your phone. They also reserve the right to track where you go with the phone and keep track of what shops you enter when you connect to their Wi-Fi as well as the location data. And they even say you don't have to have the app open, it could be closed and it will still track absolutely everything about you. I'm jumping the Oculus Rift ship, I got the original Rift as well as the rift s and I purchased the quest 2 for my mother. It was a great setup but this whole meta and Facebook nonsense is just too involved, I absolutely hate having to make more and more accounts and merging more and more accounts all the while accepting all these agreements to sell off all my personal information just so that I could play a game. I won't be upgrading anymore with Facebook and their meta nonsense, I'm not going to give them any more of my personal information which seems to be the new gold of today's world. Instead I will go with the lesser of the devils, I will dump a large amount of money into getting the index. I've read Steam and valves and user and it isn't nearly as aggressive and invasive as Facebook. I just want to buy the product and play it without having you place a thousand eyes on me and make me sign a massive contract that sells my entire life and all its privacy to you. Young folks tend to say if they have nothing to hide what's the issue? We're starting to see that already in today's world when people start to dig up the past through all of these digital footprints. It looks like an absolutely gorgeous headset and I am saddened that I'm not going to be buying one. It's just getting ridiculous what you have to give up now and on top of that still spend a massive amount of money just to try something out.
Don't purchase meta products if you have a headset under warranty the will ask you to send it back and they will send you a replacement then completely ignore you about the replacement once your headset is back at their warehouse you get no refund no replacement no one to contact at meta and literally only bots in their customer service chat that literally do not escalate your problem and your left 600 dollars out of pocket seriously the vive cosmos may cost 200 dollars more then the quest 2 but its worth compared to the dodgy lack of service that oculus/meta give you
Good luck putting it back in the box with all the accessories. Absolute garbage package design. For $1500 I should get a carrying case. The value proposition for this device is terrible
