Thank you for the post. I was at the Royal Albert Hall with my wife for the David Gilmour gig on the opening night, 9th October 2024. I haven't seen Dave Gilmour since Pink Floyd played Earls Court on the Division Bell tour in 1994. Amazing night and an amazing band! As for the critics. David hasn't been out on tour for a long time and let's not forget that he's 78 years old! He still exudes the magic that he had when I first saw Floyd in 1981 playing The Wall. Beautiful night! Again, amazing band and David is such a legend! 🔥 🎸 💥 🔥
he's doing great w his band and obviously having a grand time playing w family. Anyone who criticizes his voice, please. Literally no one can hit the high notes at 78 that they did at 35. It affects every single professional singer.
Luckily I was there this nite and the absolute legend that is DG give this the full beans and for me on a personal note ( my favourite Pink Floyd song ) was my highlight of the nite
Finally David has found his groove! Killer solo and quite unique. This is the night and that was the solo. He'll be pushing the envelope on this one for the rest of the tour. Such a relief after a slow break out!
I was disappointed when I heard the Italy shows, the sound was as if they were just not into it. Maybe some of them were sick. But Holy crap this is so good it gives me chills and nearly brings me to tears and brings back so many memories and craving for more.
Yes of course you pay ..... They are great seats for a fascinating view of the band . They are the Choir seats , released on sale recentley . I sat much where this was filmed in 06 just above Richard Wright and watched him play Echoes from just a few feet away . Fantastic !
We must have been close as was in that section 1st night Bowie Nash Crosby etc & seen Floyd 3 times Dave Rog solo many but that 2006 show was the best musically show I've witnessed & as you say the highlight was watching Rick and Dave wizzing back & forth on Echoes watching Rick was stunning a great night & great to see DG1 on it again in the RAB fantastic.Cheers for upload 👌☀️🎸

What a track. What a night. ...50 years of waiting since I bought my first PF album.
Best song of the night imo
Absolutely incredible. I was in a box to the right and was blown away by this song
the solo live was so great! I was like damn that guy can still play like the old days!
I was thinking the same thing. This solo was incredible
