- CZ 457 LRP - SK Long Range Match - 200 yards
Time to get the LRP (long range precision) out to some longer ranges but how far can it go before it looses its precision? in this video I will test Match 22 ammo at 200 yards to see if the accuracy is retained at distances beyond the norm for a 22lr rimfire cartridge. upgrades to this rifle include an IBI Barrel 22" olympic contour 1:16" twist, and a flat blade Timney trigger. Stand by to see what ammo will make the cut as my go to long range ammo for this CZ 457 LRP.
Thanks for reaching out a little further.
I'm hosting a fun shoot at our range on November 12th.
All reachenary targets from 50-200 yards.
That will be a lot of fun
Yup another good video , thanks 👍👍
Much more to come! Thanks again Vinny
i have made yesterday 30 shots in 67 mmx 82 mm at 200 meters with the sk long range with my CZ457 LRP. for the moment, it is my favorite :)
regards from France
It great ammunition in a great rifle for sure. I love my LRP!
Hello from the UK, I use this ammo and its pretty good for the money. I am always trying to get the best shooting ammo thats also cheap :) That said nothing is "cheap" these days in this sport. One thing I noticed was your thumb position (changes and maybe even rests on your bolt at times). Something you could maybe work on? Cheers!
Sweet shooting. I enjoy your delivery of content.
Thanks Ian
Nice looking groups. Thx for the video
Thanks
Nice! My CZ sometimes has a hard time picking up the last round with the 10 round magazine.
Ya I have the same problem with all my 10 round mags. Never had any issues with the factory 5 rounder
Hey, try cleaning the grease off the bullet heads and weighting the ammo into groups. cheers mate
KEEPEM COMING LUV UR VIDEOS🎯🎯
Thanks so much there are more to come
Nice set up for distance. Good video.
Thanks
I like the angle we can see the trigger pull very well !
{This thing looks very crisp}
_Looks like 200yards is a bit far for multiple hole in holes_
I am actually impressed it held together that good at that distance. The trigger is probably the best upgrade to date. The weight isn’t much lighter but wow it’s so crisp it’s scary
Tried the SK LR Match with my LRP, got .5 MOA for the limited time I was at the range, handily beat the RWS Target Rifle that I was using before. 100 yard distance. Next time it clears up here on the coast, I'll take her to 200
6 mils did it for my LRP at 200 and sitting at 1 moa at 200 is amazing to me
Good groups for 200 yds that sk long range is good stuff
Yes it’s one of my go to’s for sure
Nice rifle do they still make those rifles?
Thanks, and they just released the newer updated version it has a black rubberized stock with grey splatter. It looks very nice I saw one in person at the gun shop.
Good stuff bro. As painful as it is I'd like to see tenex at that range or Eley match even.
You got it Jim
I'd send ya some to test with but that's probably not legal on your end :(
I’m guessing your in the states. Then ya that wouldn’t work but huge thanks for the offer. It’s greatly appreciated
Think you said the scope was set to 15x. If that is the case are you looking at the target camera for your hits or identifying hits through the scope??
I can see them clearly through the optic. I found that I can make more accurate shots when I back the power off to between 1/2 and 3/4 of the magnification range. I use 20x for ranging and measuring target sizes but normally make shots with power anywhere between 10x and 15x
Is that 6 mills up from a 50 yard zero?
Yes I find some ammo I can use 5.7 some is 6 mils
@@BROTUNED Great! Thank you!
@@BROTUNED I used 6 yesterday and it worked great! Thank you for your response and your channel! 👍🏻
My lrp loves sk too.. How do you like your trigger? Worth the money?
I think the trigger did more to improve the rifle than the barrel but it’s close
@@BROTUNED right on good to know.. I'm currently running the ballpoint pen spring trick and while it is around 1lb the pull is a little grainy so thinking I might upgrade to the timney
You won’t regret it one bit. I had my stock trigger set the same pull weight as my timney but the timney is so much crisper
Is that ur ibi barrel?
Yes it is. For some reason it’s accepting sk and lapua ammo. I still experience the odd case extraction issue but the frequency is far smaller than it was.
Contact Josh on utube. Pursuit of Accuracy
Ya I spoke with him a few weeks ago about this he said he hasn’t had the issue but we discussed a couple things that could fix it. It has since gone away but the next video was by far the worst it has ever been. It took 30 mins to shoot the test. Then I had to figure out how to edit it so it wouldn’t be a half hour video
@@BROTUNED so u ck'd the loading chamber edge for stress cracks etc? Ammo wise, have u mic'd the rims of the ammo? Actual case length vs chamber length?
Change the extractor out yet? Tried bolt shims for head spacing??? 👀🤔
I scoped the chamber, checked it for any indication of of the case getting into the lands but everything looked normal. I cleaned the bore real good and everything seems ok. I haven’t played with any shims to change the head space at all but I may play with that some day. From what I saw from how the cases were stuck it was almost like the lube was prohibiting the cases from extracting easily. Lately I haven’t really had the problem with sk and lapua and I have been shooting it a lot with those brands of ammunition. Seemed like if I get it real dirty the cases drag on the way out is if there was a vacuum in the barrel
