This brought tears to my eyes because her dream of doing good for its own sake without needing recognition or reciprocity is so pure and beautiful. Protect America so that the ability to dream continues to flourish.

I relate to her so much. I understand wanting to do good without a return and how America was a dreamland to us immigrants. I came to the US from a Thai refugee camp in the 80's and grew up in a small town in North Carolina. Life was so very different back then for anyone that had an accent or looked different.

I relate to Ms. Kunis’ sentiment of people born in this country never being able to appreciate it as those coming from outside. However, it’s not just immigrants who can perceive this. My father was enlisted in the Air Force, and my family was stationed overseas in the pacific theater. I was born in Japan back when born in Japan meant junk. We lived in Okinawa and the Philippines. We rarely lived on base, having to be on a waiting list for base housing in places that actually had it. I remember coming back to the states for almost a year and getting drinking water from the faucet and being able to drink as much as we wanted. We moved to the states permanently when I was 12. By then, I had heard of and seen pictures of, and even tasted many of the products from the States, but actually experiencing the abundance of choices and places and opportunity was mindblowing

In a rush did a sloppy job. Having the part break off. Having so, got words towards me of bad ( not told in years). Ooened my eyes.
