@@MikeBartner I grew up in the same city as him. He was super hyped as a kid I watched him play lots. He actually used to be more of a defensive defenseman. I have always been impressed with his willingness to lay the body too.
Blackhawks fan here, now I know we need martone Ngl we need offense especially because we didn’t get Demidov, but if we have the 3rd pick and martone and hagens have been picked I wouldn’t be mad with Schaffer, he’s so good and I honestly wouldn’t be mad
Agreed, we definitely need offense, but Schaefer is scarily good. My only worry is if Korchinski keeps developing well and Vlasic just keeps getting better, will there be enough minutes to go around
This draft reminds me so much of 2022 where we really wont know who is likely to go 1st until the draft lottery is run. Id have: 1. Martone 2. Misa 3. Schaefer 4. Hagens but its so close it will likely all be team dependent and every team will likely have a different order for the top 4 picks
If the sharks were able to snag Schaefer, him and Dickinson would be an insane d core to build around. I don’t know if you could have a better prospect/rookie pool than that.
@@jfkst1 I disagree ith saying I think it's fair to say it's unexplosive. He's so young and not filled in that he's in the best spot to project added speed. I think the processor is just so quick and he plays a "fast" game when scanning and getting the puck on and off his stick. It's fair to say though if the skating stagnates then he's more of a middle six players. The passing ability though is unmatched in the class and he see's the ice so well.
@@lukeheintzman Nobody is grading this draft is being deep and I expect once we get outside the top 10 there's going to be a ton of busts. I think he'll be one of the busts.
@@jfkst1 I agree it's not deap and they'll be. lot of bust lol. I think his IQ and room of growth is something i'd bet on. That playmaking ability and pro ready. But if the skating stays the same it could definitely be an uphill battle.
People need to put some respect on pyotr andreyanovs name. By far the number 1 goalie prospect this year. It’s not close. Hes putting up similar numbers to Shesterkin and vasilevskiy in the mhl. While showing major improvements from last year and being one of the best puck playing goalies I’ve ever seen.
Looks pretty similar stats to Yegor Zavragin when he was in the MHL. I’d imagine he’d get drafted in the same range as him. Unfortunately the Russian bias is still there
@@MikeBartner he’s got some game footage on UA-cam. What really made me like him was how much he improved in a couple months. In the games I watched. And that puck playing confidence can’t be taught. I really recommend watching his games on UA-cam.
Just watched the tapes, like you asked. Amazing puckhandler, his passes are crisp and always on tape. Though he is very square on the first shot, his mobility is average, especially on rebounds were he seems to loose balance a lot. Reminds of Samsonov A LOT (with much more puckhandling abilities though Samsonov isn't the worst) I would bet on him in the 3rd round because of his physical attributes ( height ) since the stats are indeed intriguing.
Sleeping on cam Schmidt
Your hockey knowledge is much appreciated
I think Jackson smith is actually elite defensively. Like elite elite. Not the best in zone but defends the rush just as good as any nhl prospect.
Damn I gotta watch more of him!
I like him a lot too. Would have him #5.

Please do a mock draft to see which team will benefit the most from which prospect
excited to hear about the habs🙏🏻
@@jonathanguernon5372Gotta be a center, id say ideally Misa but could also be Haggens
Moore was a teammate of Mesa and Spence with the Mississauga Senators OHL Cup win a few years back 👌👍

For sure just go best player available still, only Bedard has proved himself at the NHL levelt hus far.

Tbh anyone in the top 4 would help san jose out
O'brien is a stud. Someone is going to get an elite playmaker with him.
He's also a poor skater so projection is questionable.

Would have Smith higher and Schmidt on the list somewhere.
U are sleeping on Jackson Smith bro. He is a sure fire top10 guy, watch more of him pls!!!
It’s nice to see Desnoyers get some love, that kid is so good. He just gets no attention because he’s in the Q
Can’t wait for Yzerman to get the third overall pick and pick a guy that’s supposed to go in the 15 overall range. YZERPLAN
16:34 that is not Justin Charbonneau
Willing to do some absolutely demonic things to get the wings a top 2 pick to get one of Misa or Hagens (hopefully Misa)
if frondell peaks at the U18s, this will all be forgotten and he will be in the top 3 conversation
Michael misa is dominating the ohl 61 points in 29 games
Good prononciation for Desnoyer! 👌🏻
Wrong picture for carbonneau
Hagens shot like 1% the first month of the year, he’s already regressing upward
Ish Wozniak needs to be out of the first round brother, the points are a facade he’s not good
Bruh did you hack my computer or something lmao I have the same top 7 in order
Miro Heiskenen is better than all the guys you mentioned except Makar
Michael misa to habs at 1
I have Carbo top 10

He is killing it in the MHL should be in the mix for best goalie

@ his skating has improved a ton from the first game to the second game I watched. But I agree still needs work.
Chester
Hagen. Dont care if hes only 5,10
It doesnt matter just look at jack hugues
